Where's Einstien when you need him?
Ok, for those of you who dont know me and my truck observe. I will start by saying my truck is cursed, some here would agree some will tell you he's not a good enough mechanic. My fuel pump is a Airdog 100 when new it ran about 15lbs of pressure at idle, wot it was 14.50, one year later it drops to 13lbs at idle and 12.50 wot. Ok I have other problems other than that but we wont go there yet. So I just accepted that was normal, so while trying to fix other issues one step at a time ( replacing everythink one peace at a time till I fix it or it will be stock again ) I started with fuel pressure hose from pump to isolater. No leaks no cracks in line no slite fuel on fittings or anything. No sharp bends in line, straight shot all the way.And I said to my self this is a waste of time but here gose. So why do I now have 15lbs at idle again and 14.50 a wot? I will throw this at you to, old vp44 needed to be replaced no dout it had little issues and stuff such as dieing for a split second then pick right back up and run, you know the little things in life that make you day. Oh yes I allmost forgot it has never thrown a code excepted the first vp44 about 50k miles ago. Fuel mileage with old vp was 15mpg new vp jumped to 18mpg, today I am at 14.75mpg again. What the !!!!? I will also say the only thing that has not been replaced is the map sensor and the ait everything has been replaced when I say everything thats just it all of it has either been swaped with another truck or bought new, turbo and ecm have been swaped ran for a day then put back the next day. Turbo one day ecm the next day. Cam sensor you name it.Michael, I am thinking if I dont fix this truck I will take a road trip to see you, I now we laughed about it but it is starting to be a reality. If we dont fix it we can make a new Dodge commercial, I am sure you know of some good mountains aroud there. lol

"dead pedal" issue
When doing the key thing on my 01 5 speed it just says P DONE thats it. Also I never had a code even when the vp 44 was going out. Yesterday it stalled just for a second and picked back up, it did this twice. I am not even going to waste my time listing all the parts I have thrown at this thing,it is easyer to name what hadnt been replaced, Map sensor and AIT sensor, just keep driveing right.

Tim the TOOL Man Taylor
I need somebody to tell me if you can still get a 3.5 gal flush toilet, new. I have built a new house and I have to push solids about 50'. These cheap home depot toilets dont use 1.5 gal and I feel it is not enough water to push that far. This is the second time I have had to rent a snake.

I made 39...
Well it's the eye site first then aches and pains you didnt think you could have. Then your buddies start to pass for no reason like heart attack, stroke, diabetes, you know the little stuff like that. Oh you better start looking for a place to hide stuff, the wife will start stealing your things and selling them, least thats what I say anyhow. Where else would it go? right.

Losing my Home to Mold
Hey thanks for all the replys, I thought this thread was gone. Update trailer was a total lose it was moved to a guys place out in the country. It is still a nasty smelling mess, I dont know what kind of mold it was but it was not the bad stuff we sent off mold samples. We lost everything we had nothing was saved, we tryed to save some furniture but it started growing nasty green and some white junk. Built new house thanks to family and one friend, you find out who they are as soon as the crap hits the fan dont ya. Cost was about 30k for a really nice custom built home with 1100 feet. Yea friend is carpenter by trade thank god for that or we would really been screwed. And now the county wonts to value at 90k,I told the wife we would be ok in a tent. lmao

Ok, I thought I fixed my idle problem with a apps. It ran just fine for about 4 days no rump rump or anything, well its back. List of things done - second new apps,vp44,cam sensor, fuel pressure airdog 13.50lbs,tried ecm off another truck, tired turbo off anothre truck. One thing I have noticed is it only does it when eng. has been driven at hwy speed for a little while, does not rump rump at all when just idel around town. :thud

You must know the same guy. :D

Air Trapped In The ABS Block?
Use the old clear plastic tube and let it drain for a while. Get you a clear jar and put a little fluid in the bottom so it dont suck air and just keep the fluid level full. Oh pump brakes if you want or just let gravity do the job. :smart I heard someone tell me that once, oh by the way check is in the mail. :thumbsup

VP 44 Installed Today
Ok gang I got vp 44 installed and now shifting is grate, no rpm drop, now shifts nice and smooth. But, there is still a problem with shurging when slowing down or push clutch in it surges about 4 times then smooths out. I put new timbomb apps and the lowest we could get numbers down to are .671 is this to high, in other words is apps sending a message to ecm searching for idle mode? Tim said .671 would be ok, I am wondering if there may be a problem here. Oh yea, eng. died several times with old vp and never thru a code. I got to ask what's up with that?

codes p0230,p0234
I have been hereing a lot about waste gate rust up lately. Can you lube it with anything? I would think you folks up north would run across this problem, and may have a cure.
- replacing vp44 should I replace the cam sensor too
