  3. Ok thats it I'am going to have to get the edge comp now. I gotta see :wow I gotta see
  4. Hook up the computer, that sounds to cool. As far as fuel it is 1.85 here in central Tx. It is going up for some reason saw 1.95 then saw another 2.08
  5. Hey Joe, I am with you on the not hot roding it, but man after a bout a week Iam here to tell you you cant help but stick your foot in it LOL Then get readdy to smile ear to ear. Because there is more to come. When I sidned on to these boards I was looking for a better lift pump. I didnt have any plans on buying a 500.00 Airdog. Now I ride around going to job after job looking for a 4x4 to build a pull truck out of, and then dont see any then say to my self my truck will do all I need is a front dif. I need a new truck anyway right. LOL Man when you hear one of these trucks turning 600hp it makes me wont to go to the bank and 8| oh I am getting carried away here. :smart
  6. I dont remember where I read it, but I read something about starter conected to catching on fire due to contacts? Can anybody shed some light on this.
  7. 30 minutes? :wow Contacts that easy to get to, or you just that fast?
  8. Thats cool ,I really like those old trucks. I like the exhaust too.
  9. Dont worry go for it these eng. can take it. The only thing you have got to do is get a #1 Fuel Pressure Gauge you got to keep 10 lbs to vp44 at all times #2 Pyro Temp Gauge #3 Trans Gauge if auto. And have fun enjoy your truck. There are trucks out there with 300k with all kinds of mods.I dont have much on my truck it is a work truck but I enjoy what I have. I put it this way I can pull 30k and never lug down on any hills I didnt say mountains but anyway you got the idea. B)
  10. I am sorry about that I thought I said trans. As far as silica the guy at the sample lab said that the silica could be from silicon RTV sealer. This is on a 5 speed. I pull inspection plates to change oil and I may be over doing it on the silicon. The reason I pull plates is to mop out the little bit that is traped in the back of trans.
  11. I am sorry I thought I posted Trans. oil sample :bang:
  12. Ok my son and his friend and I where talking stacks and I said the single slant cut looked good and I was informed that I was,let me see- old, out of touch, senile, that it would'nt look good on my wheel chair. Ok now I am pissed so what do yall think.
  13. Cant get it on here .Michael can you get it on?
  14. I am trying to get my oil report on here it is real interisting. I called and they said there could be silicon from RTV sealer and the lead  I dont know for sure.
  15. Well I would say if pedal gose to floor like you say it would be apps. Turn you ignition switch on and off three times on the third time let it stay on and see if codes come up.
  16. What is the differance between 600.00 60 Hp Dynomite Diesel inj. and cheaper ones. Dynomite advertizes flow balanced and matched to opening pressure. In other words is it worth it?
  17. What I would do is get some 1/8 inch 3/4 angle iron and trim it out.Cut your corners at 45 and weld it in. Take some cauking and fill in low spots, weld the high spots and grind down. If you wont my guess at cost, course depends on what part of the world your at.Your probaly looking at 30 to 45 min to trim out and weld. 50.00/ The grinding and making pretty you should do,cut cost. but if I did your looking at 100.00.
  18. Speaking of loud I was putting 5" exhaust on the other day and fired it up with just the down pipe and 3' of 5" pipe and rattled the shop walls :D
  19. I change Trans. and Diff. every year no matter what I run. And if playing around need to check within a day or two after words. And as far as amsoil they have proven to me they work. If you go to independent studies they have all kinds of studies on oils. And yes some do excell in one and the most I found is two things that amsoil does not but what you will find is the things they are not high in they surpass in everything else which in turn makes up for what they lack. The only thing that comes to mind is shear strenght in rearend gears in off road haul trucks of 50 tons, but it to is only minamul. As far as oil sampels it cost 22.00 one time cost that will tell you whats going on. Hear again I like my equipment and change at sever mileage or hrs.I have 11 motors to change oil on and it cost more in time than a few dollars in oil price diff. I like my days off, I am self employed so I have tons of time on my hands. LOL
  20. MICHAEL we need you over hear.
  21. :$: Yea I figured that And ya know I heard someone say that once before, but who was it :D
  22. Well I thought about it and I said what the hey I'll do it so I ordered it today. Now do I go straight or put on muffler? Down here in Tx. we have to put muffler on to get inspection so I guess I"ll put muffler on. I dont know maybe if somebody said run it straight I might have to check it out :D
  23. Yes put 4" down pipe and then run straight it is worth it. But I really dont think you will stop there. That's what I said and now look at sig. LOL
  24. Yea your right about the chemicals they will probably have a ATF- 5 out by next week LOL. So in your research have you found any inj. cleaners that will work. The only reason I ask is the old tractor has valvue guide seals that are letting a little oil past and she smokes a little if you leave her idleing and well you know I just trying to take care of the old girl.
