  11. This is my son's newest hobbie, all his life he's made me nervous. Before he was born he was squeezing umbicalcord every 20 seconds or so and it would make the heart monitor indacate his heart had stopped. So the doctor does a xray and there he is with the umbicalcord in his hand squeezing it getting everybody all fired up.Well he's still at it, hit a deere on his way home from work. Yea it's totaled. He's the only kid in the family on my side, I have three step daughters and one step son and none of them put together give me griff like he does. Well I gota tell the truth, I do know where he get's it from :whistle:It's off season right now and he jas the car all apart, frame and tires. The guy he bought the car from was a dang go driver, showed him some pointers that really took him the the front. I mean where talking 2nd place twice, third and fourth I dont know hom many times heck two weeks ago he came in 5th outa 34 cars started 8th just to many good drivers. It was the last race of the season, brand new track just opened and everybody and there dog was there so he did good fith. He was pole starter for that race, if he ever gets out front he gone. During time trials he also smoked the cheatting rick kid with the stroked out 383 He's class is limited mod. 350 cubicOh yea, when he was 10 years old he started racing go carts ,I mean 70 mph flying by your pants fast go carts. He held the track record on the fastest lap and the record for the worst track wreck 4 barrel rolls in mid air before hitting the ground. I was the first one to him and after he stopped crying he ask me if he could finish he's last race:stuned: I got to admit I had a lump in my throat and couldnt talk for a second. I told him you start in the back and dont pass ANYBODY. He was in second and about to pass 1st when he got Tee boned in the side from the 3rd place driver that never let off for the croner :rolleyes:If you cant tell I guess I am kinda proud of the boy.I keep yall up to date when season starts in March. It's a blast. The sprint cars, all I can say is WOW now that's fast. Go check out the web, The Cotton Bowl race Way in TxIn this pic he's passing for 5th, look under the car at the right rear tire. The left front aint bad either.
  12. Yea I have heard the samething, here's the thing, if your luck is anything like mine and you really only want to do this one time, get the right ones for a few extra bucks. Besides how are you going to know if the orings they hand you will hold up to the heat? When you go to pull the crossover tube make sure you mark the crossover tube with a scribe or something so you can get it close to the same as it was when you go back with it.Somepeople will say it dont mater but the tip of the crossover tube is a softer metal than the inj.it is seating against to make a seal tight fit. Just my worth. You dont have to pull all the lines off, you should be able to take the hold down bolt out that holds the line. Just dont take the blue clamps off leave those alone.
  13. Just tourque them, spray a little brake cleaner check for leak. As long as it's not running down the intake and making a drip drip drip I would run it till you get new injectors and get new crossover tubes while your at it.
  14. Your lines come from the factory with a coating of somesort that the feral. Sometimes when you break the conection it's a good idea to emery cloth and clean the feral to make a good seal.As far as the crossover tubes, as long as you didnt remove them they should still be seated the same as before. If you pull crossover tubes to replace the o rings you will disturb the seat between the injector seat and the crossover tube which could cause a leak. Best thing to do in that case is just replace the tubes.
  15. Tighten them wont stop it, there is another problem then.
  16. How far will CB's reach these day's? Back in the day 72-77:ashamed: we could talk 10-15 miles on a good day.
  17. You can bleed just the two, but why, what's going on?
  18. When I bought it 4-5 years ago it still had recipt in glove box where he had it in the shop. Recipt said 12 month warranty, it also said something about repair kit. So hopefully they didnt weld it on.I think it was done at Amco Trans. So far it has not done it again, I plan on draining fluid Sunday. Saturday I got to pull head off my John Deere 4030, it blew a gasket awhile back, I just hope the cylinder wall aint washed out, it been blowing a little blue smoke for a year or so. :whistle:Who rebuilds NV4500'S? And how much are we talking about?
  19. NV4500So I am driving about 50mph with my foot light on the accelerator and she just eased out no grinding no pop. What the heck?:spend::spend::spend:Here we go again
  20. Grids come on at somewhere around 50-60 degree and cycle on and off for 2 min. I fire it up when it's cold let it build oil pressure, set high idle and go in the house 2-5 min and she s ready. Maf/Ats not totally sure on that one.
