Dreaded White smoke.
I know engine load is 8-9% at idle. I will look at rpms in the morning when I leave work. I cannot not seem to find out how to change my signature.

Dreaded White smoke.
Update. Took the the truck to my mechanic (Finally) and after a second opinion it’s just unburnt fuel during start up and when the temps are cooler. I appreciate all the advice and help.

P0121
Just an update. No more P0121. Since replacing the app my cruise control works flawlessly. Before it would either be no throttle or all throttle while cruise control was set. Drove it 700miles in 3 days and all is well. Thank you you for the help.

Dreaded White smoke.
?, Thank you. I will look over them tomorrow.

Dreaded White smoke.
Correction Blueish gray. I finally have enough sunlight to see it. Checked for front and back movement in the turbo. All is good. I am taking it to the shop that did the head work and let them check it outs.

Dreaded White smoke.
Why would the turbo cause that? How would I go about diagnosing it? How do I check the valve seals? I have a lot of questions lol.

Dreaded White smoke.
I have white smoke when I start up. Smells like oil. Doesn’t matter the outside temp. Also when I accelerate (under load) there a haze of white smoke but clears up when I get to speed. Doesn’t matter if the Quad is on or off. It did this with the old 75hp injectors and still with the new 150hp injectors. No loss of coolant or loss of power. The head gasket and ARP head-studs where replaced last year. Had the head rebuilt while it was off. Any suggestions? Appreciate the help.

P0121
Timbo app is installed. Pretty easy to do. We will see if that P0121 code comes back.

P0121
Ordered a Timbo. Hopefully that will fix it.

P0121
I have always gotten a random P0121 code usually I clear it and it comes back in a couple of months. But this time I caught it in action with my quad. When the dead pedal happens the quad show the throttle 100% open and stays that way till I push the throttle a couple of times. Has anyone else had this issue? Also I need to do the W-T grounding mod. Hopefully on my days off coming up soon. My fuel pressure is 15-16psi, checked for AC voltage 3 months ago and it was good (Will do it again before and after the grounding mod), and this has happened in hot and cold weather, short or long drives.

Front driveshaft woes
I went with the Autozone (Cardone I think) front driveshaft. Big Mistake. Lasted 2 years and took out a 2 year old transfer case when it came apart. Got my money back and went with Dennysdriveshaft.com they use Dana, Neapco, Sonnax, or Mark Williams slip yokes. Easy instructions on how to measure. It will cost $466 to $496 depending on options. Hope that helps

Quadzilla Bucking
Agreed. Had a similar problem started taking timing out and problem disappeared. 1500: 13 2000: 15 2500: 18 I think is what I run. I use the Light throttle to advance my timing where you have it set.

Front Pinion yoke U joint
While you are under your truck looking at U-joints better check that double cardan joint. Mine gave up the ghost at 75mph with 8k behind the truck. The 2 year old ac cardone front drive shaft took out the 2 year old transfer case and left me and my 3 year stranded. You can look at Denny’s Driveshaft online for some Dana OE parts. My local shop wanted $175 for a Dana 80 yoke plus $25 for shipping. Got the yoke, nut, washer, seal and straps for $165 with 2 day shipping.

Boost Pressure High
Had had a similar issue with a diablo power puck. But it would just throw a p0121 code. Turned out the puck was toast.

Boost Pressure High
Just an update. I have been driving my truck without issue for the last couple of days. I have sent my quad back to be checked out.
-
Boost Pressure High
Reset codes drove to a job this morning and nothing. I just unhooked the quad and will drive it a couple of days and see if the code come back.

Boost Pressure High
Thank you Mopar1973Man Now the truck threw a P0236 and a P0121. Was going to send the quad back tomorrow but now that is has thrown these codes I am not sure if it is the quad. Map sensor and apps?

Boost Pressure High
It has been a couple of months since I have.
-
Boost Pressure High
I had the defueling turned off for boost pressure. I will check the harness.
-
Boost Pressure High
I guess the easiest would be to check the quad harness first for resistance? Also my adrenaline should have let me choose a power level because I was past my warmup temperature. right?
-
Boost Pressure High
Well it started doing it again intermediately. The only way I can get the truck to move is the take the boost defueling off or sometime when I shut the truck down and start it again it goes away. I will unhook the Adrenaline and drive then report back.

Boost Pressure High
Did see that my wiretap wire had come out and was laying against the injection pump. Reconnected that and everything else looked good.
-
Boost Pressure High
No CEL. Stopped to to get fuel and it’s fine now. Leads me to believe a loose connection.
-
Boost Pressure High
I am on the road today haven’t had a chance to stop and check but my quad is showing 48psi at idle and the quad stays in power level 0 Beside a wire could my MAP sensor be dead? When I get home I will look under the hood.
