  8. I noticed the same thing, too, but also noticed the dirt/mud splashes were identical in the two pictures..
  9. That's actually pretty badass, aside from the paint scheme
  10. that's good to hear. But, with this forum family, I'd be way more surprised if it didn't go down like that.
  11. Yeah, if it's a decent discount, I'm in. I'm not saying it isn't worth the current price, but it's out of my range.
  12. Yes sir, I sure did. I shut the truck off, replaced the jumper with the relay, then restarted the truck. When I put the jumper back in, I started the truck and it started off "normally"..
  13. Yeah, that's what's wrong with my rear tires; the centers are done. I hope to get good mileage out of these Treadwrights. I drive about 10k/yr, and 70% of that is usually towing.
  14. I've threatened my wallet several times for an Frantz oil filter.. I just can't pull the trigger yet.
  15. I've been needing tires on my dually for awhile. When I got stuck (saturday) in the wet grass, spun, but didn't tear up the yard, I knew I had issues. Later that day, towing my 20ft enclosed down the 2-lane back roads, I was traveling about 15mph. Went to pass the bicycle while climbing a slight grade, I added throttle and spun the tires with ease.. Now, these tires (Firestone Transforce AT, 235/85-16) aren't bald, by any stretch, but they are getting close to their end of life cycle.. I decided to look for tires. My sizes were 215/85-16, 235/85-16, or 245/85-16. I searched and searched, and 6 tires seemed to average about $1000 or so, shipped. Locally, that figure was higher. I did about 6hrs of combined research on the Treadwrights. I also checked the state laws on re-treads for the steer axle, and it's legal here, with exception to commercial vehicles. I spoke with someone at Treadwright, and they said that I could expect 40-60k out of a set, provided I stayed diligent with rotation and pressure, as well as alignment. I couldn't find much in the way of "negative" with these. So, I bit the bullet on a set (6) of 245/75-16 Warden A/Ts (E). I'm hoping they'll be here this week. I'll definitely keep you guys posted on how these turn out. I did not get the B2B style. The tires ran $90 each, $540 for the set of six, and $144 shipping. Total was $648.48 delivered.
  16. So, after swapping the harness and pcm, I remembered, today, that I still had the jumper in the TCC relay spot for the TCC toggle switch.. So I pulled over, removed the jumper, and re-installed the relay. Guess what? Problems.... :cry:Trans takes off in 3rd gear. Swapped relays with horn one (I think), same issue. Pulled the relay, re-installed the jumper, trans is back to normal..I'm really starting to think I'll be needing to pull this trans this year for a rebuild or swap... This is getting old.. No, it's already gotten old..

  21. So I was talking to a friend today. He asked me if the front BJs on the CR trucks are pressed in or welded in.. Welded in? Yep! Apparently, his dad has read info on the interwebz that they're 'welded' in..I told him they're most likely just pressed in, but I'd check on the forum..
  22. manual override on EB, and pull selector to 2ndThat's what I did in my '96, until I did the 4500 swap..
  23. If you read it, you'd see that it still has issues. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
