  1. I love driving, so many beautiful places in America, love the 2 lane scenic highways.
  2. Thanks. i'm trying to build a reliable hauler. You use the screws provided or the oem? I envy the background in you profile.
  3. I ordered the light gray cover, my dash had piece broken out, above the Temp control, thought I could fix and brace it but it was too brittle, found a good dash at a u-pull-it,in agate, so I switched the whole interior and drove to KC to exchange it, and pick-up a new set of fiberglass rear fenders, the dash cover came with screws and washers, why would I not use the original vs. what they provided?
  4. That emblem isn't right , Found On Road Dead?
  5. Nice to see a truck with the correct number of wheels!
  6. I got 6 wheels and a spare. All 7 , no sense in a rusty spare.
  7. The guy I found to do it about $400 for all them. Gunmetal Gray
  8. I went with the LMC,
  9. My truck has a couple extra wheels I can get all 7 blasted/powder coated for around $300
  10. Anyone ever have their factory wheels powder coated?
  11. I'm to old too have a 2yr old, anyone have one for rent?
  12. How skinny I have to be? The shrinking man? Just kidding.
  13. Those were the ones, guess i figure it out
  14. I pulled my dash to get the old cover off, drop pieces on the floor they shatter like glass, want to order an new one, this looks like a nightmare, dash is down ( not fully detached) but there is several screws that looks like hold down the cover way up under the backside by vents, etc Is this the nightmare I envision?
  15. I was drooling before he even started talking. I bet he's gonna fix all them up before he pass's on.
  16. First time I crossed 70 west of Denver, I thought I'd never stop climbing, running with other trucks with pallets on the floor of their trailers, told me the down hill was a cake walk, 43K of lambs swinging from the top of my trailer was a little bit different, that was still when a lot of the canyons were still under construction, late 80's
  17. They take the doors off the front trailer, mount a goose neck ball w/ a big iron "v" bolted to the floor of the first trailer. I know I got caught in AZ on 93 , he asked about the port of entry at Topock, I told him sign said closed, he let me go cause I was only about 60 miles from delivering in Wickenburg. I want to get back doing it, that's the sole reason for putting time/money intro this. Put me on a two lane highway, get in the big hole , Patriot on the satellite radio i'll drive all night. Slickest trans I ever drove was a spicer 10 spd in a 76 KW with a cummins 350, back when 3406 425 cat and the Cummins 444 were the big engines.
  18. I like too say I know how drive a "straight stick" but i can't. This is what I like to haul, It will look nicer with stacks
  19. I drive by you (almost) every year for Christmas, My folks live in Mesa (half year) Drop of 40 at Holbrook, then 377 over to Heber to Payson , Beautiful drive.
  20. That's cool! You still use it to haul?
  21. The bellhousing adapter has mounts on either side to mount to frame, but those would be in way of front suspension, in fact I had to cut one off for exhaust to clear, and I installed some neoprene engine mount to help prevent flexing. Am I reading your Ford description right, you have 2 stick set up? Want another?
  22. I wondered , because another guy bought one from Geno's and sold it in favor of an LMC
