  1. Well, what can i say? It's there so... I'm glad I ain't gotta spend the $500 out of my pocket.I will look into this some more when I have a chance and start over with the install, I don't really feel like laying on the snow in nine degree weather.

I will be doing some cuddling later tonight as well, if you know what i mean...:hyper:But, of course, a few alcoholic beverages should entertain us throughout the night.
  3. I decided to go with the UG. I just ordered it so, I probably won't get it until next week sometime. Can't go wrong for a 1/3 of the price that SG sells.I'll let ya'll know how it goes. Can't wait to get it and throw it on. First investment on the truck!!
  4. Agreed! But, my apologies for making you write such a long post.
  5. I was wondering what order things would need to go about to achieve proper results. From the list 1-8, I have #7, I think the previous owner was gonna start from seven and work his way back.Good info though, I will definately use this as a reference in the future.
  6. You do learn something everyday.
  7. That's a good way of doing it, but I would imagine the extra 5 quarts would hurt the pocket a bit. Guess it doesn't really matter if you like taking good care of what you have. I'd do it too.
  8. I'm confused, the display box that sits in the pillar has the PCM1000 and the box sitting in the engine bay says ADR1002. I thought I had the adrenaline but, now can't figure out if it's the adrenaline or pulse... :banghead: How good are these by the way? --- Update to the previous post... Display box looks exactly like the one on the link ISX posted.
  9. I haven't been able to do this yet, but it didn't click in my head until I started thinking about thoroughly. I don't have the "step on it a couple time and it comes to life issue", or at least not yet. There's no slack there. After installation I took it for a drive and it ran fine, I think it might just be me, I get real detailed and think I notice a slight change in anything. Throttle pedal feels different, but again, it could just be me.
  10. Alright, so I just checked out the manual. Now I know which one it is (Adrenaline).Somehow I have the feeling something went wrong with the EGT part of the installation. It's disconnected but plugged at the exhaust manifold for some reason.Could it be the previous owner returned everything to it's stock settings?I wouldn't disconnect anything or return it to stock settings if I got rid of it. I'm hoping there's a reasonable explanation for all this.
  11. That's never fun, but easy clean with industrial brake cleaner. Love that stuff!Seems to be a common problem with some of our ISM's.
  12. That is very good information. I like that.Does anyone here perform oil analysis on their trucks?
  13. Sorry about that, it was listed under maintenance, it being a maintenance question.
  14. I agree! The Mechanic A where I work at believes that the lines on the standard bolts represents the location of how tight the bolt needs to be in reference to location of the previous bolt, and not the strength of the bolt!!You've got to be kidding!
  15. I'll work on it. There's a bar code on it that says PCM1000. Maybe that'll help but, in the meantime yes, i will try and get a picture of it.
  16. I worked at wal-mart for 2 years, not once I had my oil changed there. There are some... I don't know if you wanna call them tech's, but there are some that have more common sense than others. While I worked there, word would get around about customers returning cars back because of oil consumption issues. Turns out some of these guys, were not tightening down these filters on tight enough to where a few days later over pot holes and bumps and what have ya, they would come loose.Like I said some of these guys you really gotta watch out for, and some are actually attending a trade school for automotive or diesel while working there. I went to school with a few, and I've heard stories. No Wal-mart for me thank you.
  17. And here I was thinking about getting mobile1.
  18. It's awesome, I love it. The kids sure do argue a lot though...Is that pretty common around here? Getting sent to the room for timeout...I had enough of that when I was little.
  19. So, she's due for an oil change here pretty soon. I would just like to get the community's opinion on which oil, oil filter, and fuel filter I should use. What do other on here prefer or use?She is my baby, I just want her runnin' in tip-top shape. :)Thanks!
  20. When I purchased my truck, it came equipped with a performance tuner. I didn't know what it was, what it did, or how it worked.I later found out it was a Quadzilla, not sure exactly which one. Must be one of the older ones, because the one I have, I couldn't find on their website. I started messing with it and realized none of the features I had set would work. Now, I don't know how many of you know much about these Quadzillas but, i'm debating on wether or not I should keep it on the truck.Under the hood I found a disconnected EGT sensor. I don't know if it belongs to the the Quadzilla specifically, or if it's factory. But, it could be why nothing on this thing works, who knows.I know for a fact, I eventually wanna do some performance mods on my truck, but if this things doesn't work, why keep it on? All it does is turn on and looks nice on the pillar. To keep it on, or to not keep it on... is the question.
  21. When I first did it, my voltage was at .613. What I did was (this is what I understood from the instructions) I turned the set screw until voltage started to rise, which at that point of course, voltage was at .614. I proceeded to back off half a turn and ended up with .637, and that's what it's sitting at now.
  22. Yes, certaintly is good piece of information. --- Update to the previous post... Has anyone else installed a Timbo APPS on their own truck? If so, how is the new one compared to the old factory one? Mine seems not as responsive as the factory one, or am i just going crazy?
  23. How long have you had yours?UG looks better than the SG, I almost wanna go with the UG. But, as we all know, looks are deceiving.
  24. So, I just checked both, the ultragauge and scangauge. I'd like to get either one of these. My question is, which one is better?
