  1. I'm very interested. Looks like an awesome kit. I do very much like the setup it's in.
  2. I will have to plug it into a different AC outlet. I don't think it worked with the outlet I used.I was even curious, if I would hear any noise when I plugged it in at the front of the truck but, didn't hear anything.
  3. How much is a ticket to one of those? Do you have one HeavyD?
  4. It was about 30-35. I'm beginning to wonder if the heater even works now that you mention yours is at 110.
  5. I plugged in the truck yesterday for the first time. water temperature was at 68 degrees. Does this sound about right for a truck that's been plugged in for a few hours? --- Update to the previous post... Sorry, 48 degrees. Not 68.
  6. I would like to put on switches to have a little more control over it. Now, that would be wicked!
  7. Yea, mine is the same way. Mine will stay around 1800 to 2000 RPM deciding wether or not it wants to kick into overdrive for a bit, then it'll go into overdrive. But, when it does when it's cold it doesn't sound or feel good either. I can feel the kick after it makes the initial shift.
  8. Well, I tried looking for the cloud and pour points of diesel fuel and kerosene but couldn't come up with anything. Generally the pour point is 5-25 degrees lower than the cloud point.
  9. They had other Valvoline oils there, but not that one, which didn't make any sense to me.
  10. I'll have to find out exactly which Air Filter it is by AEM. I seen the catalog at a store I went to and I think it was called The Predator, or something of that nature, can't remember exactly what but, when I find out I will probably post it for sale. I don't have a camera so, I can't post any pictures of it.
  11. I'd like to see the video.
  12. I let mine idle until it gets to almost normal operating temp, it usually is anywhere from 130-160 when I start going. Usually by that time there is enough heat in the cab. I figure if it idles at 1200 RPM or you drive at a steady speed keeping 1200 RPM, it wouldn't make a difference. I know from letting my engine idle at normal 800 RPM there has been a significant amount of fuel in the oil by doing that.
  13. I'd like to get one because of maintenance reasons. My truck came with an AEM filter of some sort, Don't know how efficient they are but, It's one of the cleaning ones you have to clean every so often. My filter minder I believe is inoperative, and need to get a new one as I have no clue when I need to clean the filter. The BHAF just seems like it's better, and hope to see even a small difference in performance. I think the one I have on there now has a small restriction. I took it off and ran it like that for a day and noticed a difference, and also noticed the turbo was louder, not that it matters.
  14. Nope, no Big R around here. Nearest one I know of is about 60 miles north from here.
  15. So with only dirt roads out there, or at least the majority of them, you've been able to keep a good air filter for a few years. That's pretty good, I think I'm gonna go with one as well. Altough I don't like the setup it's in.
  16. I looked for that kind of oil the other day while at checkers buying the wipers I bought but, couldn't find it.
  17. ACE, Home Depot, Lowes?Harbor Freight... Maybe? LOL.
  18. Where would one obtain Kerosene from?
  19. It's on a 99 Peterbilt. Engine is a Cat 3406 E-model. 550
  20. Anyone on here know of some good forum sites like this one for bigger over the road trucks. My dad's water temperature gauge is acting up on his CAT engine and need to eliminate wether it's the sensor or needle on gauge. He says it fluctuates, and triggers the overheat light on. anybody have any thoughts?
  21. I don't have one on the manifold. It's capped off.
  22. Right, but I wasn't expecting it to sound like that. I was looking out the window waiting for a piston to shoot out.
  23. I finally seen the 3 cylinder high idle this morning. That thing sounds scary.
  24. I purchased a new set of wipers for the snow that was expected for today. The ones that were on there were really bad and hardly took anything off. I got a few wipes out of the passenger side one and starts to smear the ice all over the window at the end closer to the mirror. Drivers side is okay but, was beginning to smear the ice just as I was getting closer to home. Suckiest wipers I've ever purchased! Do Not buy Anco wipers, as you will find yourself being the wiper.
