  1. I hate to hear that Mike had his quad fail. Any idea why? I just installed 7x9s this weekend on my hy35 and I wish I would of went bigger. Even with my quad off its nothing to drive and keep everything in check. I think that with the hx 35 you would be ok with 7x10s unless you are towing or just not paying attention while you drive.
  2. Put the quadzilla up to 150% and it's just a little puff. Happy with how it runs so I ain't mad that it don't smoke. However I was just concerned I did something wrong or the VP was going out.
  3. I am trying to get my tune right for my new injectors. I got some 7x9s(100hp) that we put in yesterday. I had my quad set to start at about 74% fueling. That was too low. Well long story short I got it at 100% starting and it don't smoke or haze much at all. Call me crazy but shouldn't they be a little smokey at 100%???

  5. I don't know that this truck has ever had the power steering flushed! Good idea!
  6. 02 dodge squeals like a sob when I turn the wheel. Mainly to the left it seems. Stock wheels stock height. Only thing I have done steering related is a steering box brace and that was in May. It just has started a couple days ago squealing. I don't think it's something related to the box brace but y'all tell me what y'all think. I just greased all ball joints and no change. Sprayed the steering stabilizer with wd-40 no change.
  7. Got my new o rings on the way. Just gonna look over the tubes closely and reuse um if I don't find anything wrong. Oh well another week to wait I guess. Rpm is up to about 845 so I know I need to swap um out soon as I can.
  8. Pretty sure it's the original injectors and all. Just gonna hold off and replace um. I was wanting to do it this weekend seeing as I got a 3 day weekend so I wouldn't have to hurry to do all my normal weekend junk. Like the honey do list!

  10. Got my injectors in the mail Monday. They didn't come with crossover tube o ring. I think it's best to replace them right? I don't believe I should reuse the old ones?
  11. I was kinda thinking that! Thank you for letting me know! I think I'll just just try a little a first if I have to crank on it then I will just tourqe it.
  12. Can some one give me the torque spec for the vp44 side? I think it's 28ft pounds on the injector side and 89 inch pounds for the injector hold down. Crows foot pretty much mandatory for putting in new injectors and getting the right torque spec?
  13. I got low psi set to 5. Is this to much? It runs good and picks up pretty quick.
  14. So Max off set allows me to pull more timing down depending on what conditions are present. I think I am tracking now. I moved it from 1.5 to 2 and I am building boost a little sooner now. I was able to run down the road at 0 boost and have to hit a hill or get in it decent and start to build. Now I can get in It a little and start to build boost.
  15. Ok! I was thinking that it should have a lower timing with higher load but I got it now. I had it backwards in my mind. Is the purpose of Max off set to help with building boost faster or ? It all makes more sense now. I greatly appreciate your time!
  16. I read that earlier. I consider my self a kinda smart guy but following in my data long I don't see it working like it shows. Say my timing is at 20 at 65 at cruise I give her some fuel, drop into performance timing it with a Max offset of 2 it and timing of 18 at 2000 it should drop to 16 right? But what about low psi timing reduct? Is that supposed to make it retard even more? Sorry for all the questions. Once I have a decent understanding of it I'll get it down pat.
  17. Trying to get a full grasp on the quadzilla before my new injectors get here so I get it set up perfect when I get um in. I can't figure out the Max load offset. Should it lower the timing as I give it fuel based on throttle position? I looked back at my logs and when I get above my set load precent it's does drop 2 degrees below my cruise timing but starts to rise pretty quick. Is this how it's supposed to work? Also if I want it to build boost faster should I set my low psi reduct to 5. It's at 4 right now. Thanks for any help!
  18. I didn't think it would effect the issue. I know mine need to at least checked when I do my injectors but I got a feeling I'll have a few a little out of spec. I think I'll try 75 over maybe the 100 I was thinking I could just set the can bus pretty low and make up the difference that way. However I wasn't sure how low I could go
  19. On the opposite side of things could I use the quadzilla to tune the injectors down to were the egts are to high? Say some 100hp injectors on a hy35 Turbo? Also did checking valve lash help your trucks issue or just the extra nosie?
  20. Probably best to just wait and get my new injectors before I play around with my timing much then. Makes sense that it will change. Also I keep forgetting they change the cetane from winter to summer.
  21. I'll give that a try and see if it helps my mpg some. What's the most y'all would get up to in cruise timing?
  22. Soo if I don't have head studs it would be ok to set timing advance to get me up to 20* at cruise at say 65-70?
  23. I can see the little actuator work but I reckon I'll have to take out my cup holders to see the door move or if something is wrong with it.
