  1. I don't believe I've changed that one yet. Worth a shot! Thanks for the tip. Still concerned about the syringe noise, never heard it before cummins or John deere. Then there's still figuring out how to tune, just can't figure it out? I'm just going to have to accept that part of the equation for now. I guess if it's running good but hot that's ok for now. 1-3 psi during cruise.
  2. Anyone have anymore thoughts from above ^^^^? Would injector lines or cross over tubes make things go wonky if there not correct or bad perhaps? They were new but new can be junk as most prolly know... I still got that syringe sound... And of course my tic/knock - no frigggin idea.... Still lost in the sauce, I basically got a $800 boost fooler cause believe me I've tried and I simply can't figure it out. Once it clicks with what the hell needs to happen, then I'll be OK. Don't know where to start. FML
  3. I got a few data logs for @Me78569 the one from today has a full send at the end, last little stretch of road before turning into work. I try to get the logs on the flattest parts of the drive into work. I seem to be averaging low 700*s at 65-67 mpg. Any, and I mean any little smidge of an incline and it shoots up, super sensitive. Well see what fuel mpg is once gauge shows half a tank and ill fill up again - been running the walmart marine 2 stroke oil lately. I think it runs ok for the most part, it could be better, not sure which part of the tune to try and modify first. Probably over thinking it but there might be a slight chance I have a valve issue or something internal, also found my clutch has an excessive rattle now - maybe 5k on it... iQuad-2022-05-16-06.03.201100454368[1].csv iQuad-2022-05-13-06.01.081353158434[1].csv iQuad-2022-05-13-05.56.10-1563766250[1].csv
  4. I thought I had mentioned it earlier, but I got with dap and 6x13 are sent in and getting looked at. I went ahead and got a set of 7x.011 @320bar from them - they helped me out ALOT with these, another shout out to them for their amazing customer service. So I'm a smidgen away from .10 🤣 The above mentioned nagging issue is with the new 7x.011 set What is preferable for a log, reset while on interstate then drive a few miles/minutes and export, rinse and repeat etc? Or log whole drive into work? I am trying to accept the whole turbo issue/problem that I can't fix and I'll have to live with for now... But with the smaller ones I seriously thought it would jump down on egts and up on mpg. Oh and running AC adds 30-40 degrees to temp haha. Oil temp and coolant are always the same sometimes oil is hotter. It's definitely not in Mike's rule of thumb for timing.
  5. Well he'll, I can't imagine pulling an rv with this thing!!! That's kinda what I'm trying to figure out, I was to the point of buying a tune but nothing is close to what I have to really work well. It's all stressing me out Mike, lol
  6. Even with the engine load up from where it was? Average 20-21% Maybe I'll back it down again to 65 and see how it acts. I don't have any smoke right now so I was wanting to bump up the fueling a tad for a little better get up down low. But im afraid for egt sake. Boost still seems low when getting on it though.
  7. Well I guess no matter what size injectors I get I'm still a hot mess. Average 750* cruising about 70 mph with a big increase in engine load at about 26%. I'm really not super convinced that the tick tap I got is timing, maybe a tad but I prolly got some valve issues... owell guess I'll find out when it breaks lol, pretty much have to pull the head to really find out. @Mopar1973Man when you coming to Missouri with your fix it service? I need some help! Idk if this tune is helping or hurting.
  8. Well that just sums it up right there.
  9. Glad you got that figured out, what a mess. I see this alot in all the heavy equipment (JD)I work on, atrocious. Welcome to the site. Speaking of lugs, I think I have to much, looks cluttered, on my posts. Been thinking about a buss bar or something to distribute wiring, mainly on drivers side, so it looks cleaner and overall better connection. I seen some things too that I'm sure you fixed, Great job overall! However your last picture shows a wire piercing connection on the brown to black wire, not a huge fan of those, too many negatives about those and never suggest them.
  10. Roger that, I'll keep the 15,19,25,28,30 with the 90%^ +2/+4 and rock on. Thanks!
  11. I guess "send it" would be a good choice of words lol... I guess I'll try and quit worrying about it.... @Me78569 since I got my additional set of injectors 7x .011 sac, I was looking at the tune store would your daily tune work with my setup or perhaps @Mopar1973Man mpg tune? Your daily tune is roughly the only one that would be close to the same stuff I have mod wise...
  12. So those retainers being up against the rocker like that prolly wouldn't have cause a tick or tap would it? I don't think it would, if it was bound up the plastic piece would have just broken off. What else can I check? I would say just drive it but you can really hear it more while driving interstate just cruising. Makes me paranoid!
  13. https://youtu.be/z2AxqyZ7fgc Here's another snippet, pushed the little black plastic pieces down away from the rockers, moves freely now. What else besides taking it all apart? I'd have to completely pull everything apart to properly check, am I wrong?
  14. I'll have to pull the valve cover back off again in the morning and check. Prolly try and get some pics. The PO put the dual springs in (not sure on lbs) I assume he used new hardware but who knows. Gonna run my overhead once AGAIN to verify the verify....
  15. I just put new injectors in it, with the gracious help of dap. 7x.11 sac. And the 6x13s as back up. Not sure what to do about it? Something to worry about?
  16. https://youtu.be/preFiev7Ask Made a video of valvetrain running. I'm pretty sure the tap or tick is towards the front, idk my hearing is shot. Does anything jump out at you sound wise?
  17. Any thoughts on the injector line hypothesis? Talking with DAP currently about injectors. Trying to get the ball rolling again or some extra thoughts.
  18. When we're chatting via text a few weeks back I did a compression test and it had good numbers, really good. Not to say something couldn't be wrong there but it's not pointing that way I believe. Maybe I'll have to buy another dang set of injectors just for this mess, I've swapped them idk how many times waiting in-between. See if dap will hook me up - Idk yet
  19. Any more thoughts? I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and go with out a rig this week or 2 and pull injectors... idk what else to do now.
  20. I'm gonna change out my turbo to downpipe v-band clamp, might have a suspect area idk yet. When I checked flow cause I didn't see pressure, had flow and didn't have any foam etc, however didn't have a looped clear tube to be more precise. Idk how many times I've done valve lash in the past couple of months, but I'm gonna do it again anyway. Idk if I should pop those injectors out anyway and get them testes and re popped at 320 bar. All my little points I made lead to injectors from what I can see?
  21. Dumb question, will vibrating or (over vibrating) lines cause any injection issues? Just a tid bit...The new line set I got didn't exactly line up with what I consider factory, the hardware mounts/locations are not factory either but I made it work regardless. Lines are very close to each other but I gentle massaged them to were there atleast not touching. I noticed today that I can hear what sounds like a syringe being pressed quickly making that hard squirt sound if that makes sense. Yes I know squirt/injection sa.e thing but this didn't sound right to me. I'll attach a sound clip, obviously capturing exact replicas of sounds is difficult to do but... #3 & #4 injection lines vibrate more and you can feel a harder pulse on them too... This makes me think once more that the injector are bad AGAIN! Idk?!?! I also can hear what sounds like a dud/light miss at around 2200 and also again at another rpm but I can't remember right now. This is with the quad on zero... This all falls in line with the noise I hear while driving interstate, sounds like timing but also sounds like valve issue or something or like a half working injector... If you can conjure up that noise/feeling in your head. Just too hard to describe. The quad in zero doesn't have any more smoke than my tune and still has some get up?!?! Why no more smoke with the absense of added timing, questionable... Fail on me I haven't chatted with the guy to do my ecu yet but in the works.... With that white smoke on start up and pretty good haze on startup there after for a bit if idling. Also to note AGAIN I haven't had any dark smoke like one would see with big injectors ever! Idk why but I think you would notice it should at some point............. Still haven't figured out timing... moved from 15, 19, 25, 28, 30 to 14, 18, 22, 26, 28... with no change really to speak of. I'll pay you to come tune it haha, even give you a place to stay. Lots to take in, main thing that could be an issue is bad injectors, tune already on ecu, valvetrain issues, lines, timing. Idk. Can't figure out how to separate the timing from valvetrain issues or valve for that matter. Anyway just an update please respond with any help! Recording_9.wav Edit: I forgot to mention that when you first start up that it sounds like normal for a revolution then drops down real low then picks back up, 20% of the time it might die---- ithimk this ties into the fuel pressure issue I'm having on gauge, injector bleeding off??? Also to add to this is the white smoke on startup, and the other issue mentioned previously. Am I crazy or does this chalk up to the injectors again? Like I've said previously the sounds I've heard way back in conversations all differ from injector sets going bad and intern being bad. Most noticeable sound now is heard around 2100-2200 rpm (loudest) but also heard all around...
  22. I been thinking of getting into a gaming PC myself, ditching the PS4-5 units you have to buy every so often, comp you just upgrade. Definitely very interesting!
  23. Stupid question, does fuel stretch matter if your not running a wire tap? What does matter in that (wire tap) section on the quad?
  24. That's one of those tips to put in the tip section we were talking about I think it was @LorenS that mentioned it.
