Safe fuel pressure
Hi guys long time no see, hope everyone's having a good time, well mine is kind of different, i have 18 psi at idle,16 at highway and 14 or 13 psi at wot, when the tank is at a 1/4 of the capacity and i floor it, it falls all the way down to 8 or 6 psi, thats why i never let it get that empty, the tank has 32 gallons of capacity, since i found this cummins brotherhood i've using 2 cycle oil, running on a raptor 150, with the 1/2 pipelines, and a drawstraw (thanks to guinnessbrewer) and from everything that i've read here, i think my vp44 is covered.

Tire Pressure Calculator
well i had some time ago a chat with the michelin general manager for latinamerican operations (it includes mexico, brasil, argentina, and a lot of latin american countries) and he told me that in their test grounds they always inflates the tires to a maximum of 90% of what the manufacturer recomends, it means that if your tire says 80psi you can inflate them at 72 or 70 psi, that would give a 10% of heating inflation (at least where i live in the summer is always 98*, 100* or a little more:mad: ) when i travel as soon as i get where im going (usually 3 or 4 hours of higway) i check mi tire pressure and it reads around 5 more psi than the begining of the trip. This is what usually happens when a tire is used without the proper care, like never cheking if they're inflated correctly, it's just happened to me last week when i was testing the raptor on the highway, i was running 70 and cheking the truck at WOT, when i stop to check from 0 to 60 mph (well 80 mph:lol:) when my truck hit 70 miles, the tire thread hit my fender, door and front bumper, those tires were given to me by my big brother, he used them in a tow truck and he told me that he never check the tire pressure. So please check your tire pressure and any weird mark that your tire have on the side wall.

Re-priming problem after RP-100 install (sorry it's a novel)
I know it's not good, but it happen to me too, like a month ago i went to where my inlaws live (like 235 miles from home) and i never shut off the truck until i got there, went to a party, came back like 8 hours after and my truck didnt not want to start, (at first i believe it was the vp44) we prime the low pressure line (i didn't know that you could prime high pressure lines) and nothing, ran out of battery, i borrow a pair from another truck (i know you never should use starting fluid by any circumstance and i dont recommend it) open the fuel filter box and let it smell some starting fluid and vouila ITS ALIVE, i dont know what happen but it's the first time that does it. Not even when i put my raptor 150 had any trouble sarting my truck, i only prime low pressure lines and it work.

where do you buy your fuel
Here in Mexico we only have one brand (PEMEX- Mexican Petroleum) it's a goverment owned refinery, and i'm pretty sure that the diesel that i'm using it's only diesel (maybe something else to make more volume of it, and i dont know what is it), but my truck runs fine, it's not ULSD, because my cousin has a 09 f350 power stroke (i dont know what motor is, it has double turbo) and he always fill up the tank at el paso, tx, because the dealership guy told him that he would damage his motor if he uses mexican diesel.

Yet Another Trip Report
I would love to see 20 on my truck, i drive daily around 50 miles, it's 15 on city and 10 on highway (one way), i've never seen that kind of mileage on my truck:cry:, i'm getting 13 sometimes 14 miles per galon:broke:, running at 65 or 70 miles on highway empty, but i think that my driving manners it's why i'm not getting good mileage (even using 2 cycle oil i got only .5 miles per galon more) i'm gonna have to go and get me some diesel truck driving lessons:lol:

Big trouble costing me big money.....
ok guys i just installed the vulcan performance kit from the filter to the vp44, and installed the fuel pressure gauge, that`s why im felling down, i have only 8 psi at idle:cry:, at wot i didnt have the guts to try it:banghead:, and i really dont know for how long it has been this way, so i need to go to a place that is 240 miles from here (its gonna be 500 miles getting there and coming back and i really need to go), im using the walmart 2 cycle oil (it helped me a lot, my vp44 it,s a lot quieter and i gain like .5 mpg on the city) do you think its gonna make it worst, its an empty trip, and rigth now im ordering my raptor 150.Im not using my gasser cause someone try to steal it and could not make it, they broke the back window mecanism, and its like 105 degrees n the desert, and my A/C does not work with an open window jejeje:ahhh:Thank you guys for all your help, sincerely Tunklo (Ivan).
