  1. DONE!!! :thumbsup Thanks!!! :red
  2. I actually pulled the Edge Juice w/Attitude out completely!! The Smarty is that good!! :thumbsup
  3. All I can say about this product is WOW!! B) B) It's definitely worth all the kudos everyone gives it!! I've been running mainly SW5 default settings. Power is GOOD, mileage is good!!! Tried SW9 default setting today. I honestly think that SW7 default setting was more responsive!!! :wow After I got home this afternoon, I thought I'd download SW5 but advance the timing. With the Smarty Revo you can adjust timing, rail pressure and waste gate. I got some pretty noticable timing rattle with it advanced manually and the throttle response wasn't as good. So I re-downloaded SW5 default settings and all is well!!! The Smarty Revo does add some rail pressure, so my overhead lie-O-meter is reading HIGH!!! It's been up to 24.8mpg on this tank and right now it's reading 23.8mpg. It was down to 21.8mpg until Sat. when I unhooked my work trailer. Since then it's been going up. But I'm sure tomorrow it'll start dropping when I start towing again. Mileage seems slightly above average. I've got 327 miles on this tank and I'm still between 1/2-5/8 tank!!! The DTE is reading 327miles. So I think I'm getting pretty good mileage on this tank, considering I had a new "toy" to play with!!!!! Smarty is the cat's dupa IMHO!!! :smart :smart
  4. It's really amazing how easily the roof/canapy/cover came down. It's either poor building or awesome Cummins power. Guess which one I think it is!!!!! B) :thumbsup
  5. Dudes, it's still a whole lot easier to punch and "tap" the oil pan!! Really, it sounds a lot worse/harder/tougher than it is!!! If you buy an Amsoil bypass, you get the STHB in the kit, which tells you that they "kind of like" returning the oil to the pan!!! Just my .02 cents!! B)
  6. Maiden, I slack off in the late fall and winter. That's when the hunting season roles around. My BLM is in his "prime" now and I want to get him onto as many birds as I can. :thumbsup He's at the vet today getting a toe/toe nail removed. It's always grown real ratty and he ripped part of it off down to the soft stuff. He wasn't helping it either with the constant licking. He'll still have that pad; just no nail on that toe. Good to hear from you!! :thumbsup
  7. I'm afraid if I do that, I'll have to go and invest in a dual disk clutch!! ` :wow I may just wind up selling the Juice and buy a rail pressure gauge. In fact, I pulled the whole Edge unit out. It took me a long time to warm up to "downloaders". It may take even more time to warm up to "stacking"!!!
  8. Downloaded SW#7 on the Smarty list. All I can say is "holy effing cow"!!!! :wow :wow :wow This is the real deal......especially on the low end!!! I totally disconnected the Edge Juice w/Attitude for the comparison too!!! Wow!!!! Wow!!!!! Wow!!! :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
  9. It was you I was refering to mainly when I posted this thread Maiden!!! LOL Now everyone knows you've been "slacking" and taking it easy!!!!!! > 18mpg with a Ford??????.......Really???!!!!! 8| Have fun while you can!!!! :thumbsup
  10. This tank of fuel I've been running the truck stock. Quite the slug. Mileage isn't bad, it's just slow to come back up non-towing and real fast to drop while towing!!!! 8| Much moreso than when I have the Juice on. I'm running on stock but still hooked up to the Juice to give myself a fair comparison between the Juice and the Smarty once it arrives and I download it. If I like the Smarty a lot, I may just pull the Edge Juice and sell it. We'll see!! Getting antsy with anticipation of the Smarty experience!!! LOL
  11. Kind of quiet around here. I'm thinking everyone is on vacation. :thumbsup Cheers everyone!!! B)
  12. I went and ordered a Smarty!! :thumbsup I'm real curious how this bad boy is gonna perform. I'll probably pull the Edge Juice out and just run the Smarty for a while to compare and contrast them. I've not read very many bad things about the Smarty in ages!! :smart Hopefully it's as good as advertised!! I'll let y'all know how it goes!! By the way, my last tank of fuel got me 18.5mpg with over half the tank towing!!! 586.x miles on the tank and I filled with 31.5 gallons of fuel+ my 16oz. of WallyWorld 2 stroke oil!!!! Cheers!! B)
  13. This past Saturday, I worked in the AM.....a rarity for me!!!!! LOL Anyhow, I went and got new trailer tires on the work trailer after I was done working. Stock, my trailer came with 205/75 15C. However, when I got to the tire place they didn't have andy C rated trailer tires, but they had the same size in D's for $10.00 more per tire. I said "Do it"!!! The work trailer tows so much better with the D rated tires than with the C's. Even when the last C's were new!!! I'm wasn't even approaching the max for C rated tires either!!! :wow Anyhow, I like 'em!!! That's my story!!! :smart
  14. Yeah, I've been looking at it also. I still don't see how folks can look at the data and still come up with the wrong conclusion!!! It's truly real frustrating!!! :smart
  15. What, no pictures!!! LOL LOL Sounds like something I'd try though!!!! :thumbsup Did you have your street tires on or your Cooper STT's??
  16. I ran 70psi around in the stock Michelins and I'm doing the same with the Coopers. I don't want or like to mess with airing up and down seeing that I tow most everyday. They seem like they are hardening up a bit. Maybe it takes a few heat cycles of running them to "cure" them??? :confused
  17. Filled up this AM........$150.01!!!!!! 8| Couldn't stop the darn pump even!!! 586 miles on the tank!!!! Anyhow, this tank got my 18.6mpg. More trailer towing this tank vs. the last and the new truck tires knocked the mileage down a bit. However, the tires feel like they're "hardening" up. Maybe it takes a few heat cycles of running the tires on the road to "cure" them????
  18. Just made it through page 60!!! 8| Lot's of great info. And the start of the naysayers!!! I can't believe how scarce I was between page 20 and 60 though!!!! `
  19. Mike, I posted a poll over on the Cummins Forum regarding fuel additives. Hopefully we'll get a lot of responses!! :thumbsup
  20. The first 20 pages of the "Black Hole" thread that I started and Mike took over!!! It's an eye opener for sure!!! Mr. PulnPwr is there in the begining and dissappears and Duluth Diesel doesn't chime in until post 189 or so!!! Got some more reading to do, but it'll have to wait.
  21. OK, I was on a "beer run" after work!!!! B) LOL Anyhow, after about 2 weeks on these tires; I can tell you this...... They are definitely a softer rubber compound than the Michelins. They ride nicer. They hum a little bit at speed. They don't "roll" as easy as the Michelins based upon my boost gauge. All that said, I like them more than the MIchelins. They "look" better than the stockers also. I'll let you know what this tank of fuel averages as I filled up the day after I got the tires put on!!! Stay tuned!!! :smart
  22. About 10 days ago, coming home from work, the truck felt weird. It felt soft behind and like the front of the truck was nose up. So I pulled into a gas station to buy some adult beverages and check it out. Well, the drivers side rear tire was quite low, and probably looked worse than it was because I had my work trailer in tow. Anyhow, this is Friday at 2PM and I drive the rest of the way home drop the trailer and run up to the local Cooper tire dealer. I wasn't gonna fart around trying to patch a tire that was 75% gone and 81,000 miles on them. I could've pushed them to about 100k miles if I was cheap, but, I was gonna get new rubber at the end of summer anyhow, and I figured what the heck, prices will only go up between now and then!!! I bought some Cooper ATR's in the stock tire size LT265/70 17E. They are A LOT more aggressive than my stocker Michelins but don't look like a mud tire. They ride nicer than the stockers too. Slight hum when rolling, but I only notice that because the stockers didn't make any noise. I've got about 500 miles on the Coopers now and so far I'm liking them. :thumbsup :thumbsup
  23. Y'all are just puppies!!!!! Just wait until you turn 40+!!!! Although I'm not near as old as MNRAM!!!!!!! B) :thumbsup
  24. I just filled up today. $134.50!!!!! ` Anyhow; on the good side, this is my second tank in a row now that has gotten me over 600 miles!!! The tank averaged 19.5mpg hand calculated. No interstate driving just basically suburban towing and empty driving. This tank was probably 70/30 empty/towing. Not too bad!!! That's with 16oz of 2 stroke oil added to the tank also. I've slowed down my driving speed also. Everyone passes me!!! B)
  25. Took the truck into the shop on Monday. I hadn't been driving it since the previous Wednesday due to the eee, eee, eee, sound I was hearing from the front drivers side axle U-joint. Didn't want to break the joint, so I borrowed a truck for a few days before they could get my truck into the shop. I told to replace both axle U-joints and the pinion seal which has been leaking for about 30,000 miles now!!!! I also told them to check the whole front end......ball joints, tie rods, etc. Anyhow, I thought my truck was still real "tight" until I got it back yesterday. Holy Cow!!!!! Man is she responsive now!!! She takes the bumps in our shitty roads better, rides smoother and is quieter over bumps. The Ford truck I borrowed was like going from a Bentley to a Yugo!!! Those Fords have no power down low at all and I returned the truck averaging 12.9mpg. The same driving with my truck would get me about 17-18mpg. That's about a 50% better mileage by my calculations!!! :thumbsup The only bad news about this was the $$$$$$$!!! It ran me almost $1800.00 and that was with the owner knocking off about $200 on the parts for me!!!! He put in my SB clutch also!!! He couldn't believe how well that bad boy was built and the price that I got it for!!! Anyhow, the girl drives better now than when I drove her off the lot.......no kidding!!!!! My truck before the work still drove better than the Ford I borrowed that was supposedly "alligned" about 2 months prior!!!!I got all greasable fittings with this install. Axle U-joints, ball joints, tie-rod end whatever. I'm just gonna grease them about every other TP change and call it good.
