It's quiet and it snuck up on me....
Maybe I should save my $$$$ and do those mods instead of putting all the fancy stuff on. I would like to add a nicer turbo than the current stock one but I cannot go to much over 500hp do to the fact of not having a billet input shaft. Is this possible? I guess it would be I would just turn the Smarty down to a different setting. Do you agree?AD64ID is it worth spending the money on the anti-sway bar that you purchased if you really don't tow heavy or at all? Also is the bar for the rear or the front? the reason I ask is i was looking at them but could only find it for the rear.

Hose and Push Lock fittings
I already posted this question in an old "Frantz" thread so I thought I would give this a shot. I am trying to get my game plan together for installing my Frantz oil bypass kit and I was wondering if I could use a heat gun to soften the hose up so I can slide it onto the fittings. I know the big guy (Mopar1973Man) told me to boil them in water for a few minutes but I was curious to know if the heat gun would work? Thanks for any advice

Frantz oil filter
I know this is an old thread but I have a question on the Frantz. I have one which is going to be installed hopefully this weekend. I know to get the hose on the barbed fittings the big guy said to boil the ends of the hose in water but I was wondering if I could use a heat gun to soften them up to slide them on?

2005 48re O/D lockout switch
Well I finally got the switched installed last weekend and the best part it WORKS! It only took me 45 min to do with help from my bro. I also did prep work by soldering all the wires and heat shrinking them to the switch while recovering from surgery. That actually saved me a lot of time. Anyways it works very happy with it I will put it to good use when I go camping in Utah this summer

2005 48re O/D lockout switch
Ok cool! I did not know that the 05 did not come with a Over Drive Lock out switch. This switch will help when I go up Cedar MTN with the egt's. So you did a TC lock up switch? Cause I believe I have to tap the #6 wire. But if they are numbered then it will be all good

2005 48re O/D lockout switch
I read a write up about doing your own Lockout switch for the 2005 48re. The write up tells you to tap the 3-4 solenoid wire which is the #6 on the plug but I was wondering if anyone new the color code for the wire? Knowing me I would count to number 6 and cut the wrong wire. I read another write up about a TC lock up switch that had a diagram of plug and I think its dark green with a tan trace but I would like to confirm with you guys. I am trying to find an updated diagram but no luck. Anyways thanks for any advice

Mopar SEVERE DUTY FUEL FILTER SYSTEM
NEVER MIND I FINISHED READING YOUR POST AH64ID! I have the Baldwin which I think is a 5 micron (correct me if I am wrong)in the stock canister then to a 2 or 3 micron donaldson fuel filter. Is it worth getting that kit if you already have this type of setup?

what interval do you change oil/oil filter at?
Cool Thanks for the response So how do find out what grade is the oil? Grade 3 or 4? So i think I am going to run the 15w 40 marine diesel oil with my bypass should be a good setup I also just purchased a Donaldson ELF the 15 micron filter so over all I am on the right path right? Thanks for your help!

what interval do you change oil/oil filter at?
So I figured out what the TBN number is Total Base Number and the higher the TBN, the more effective it is in suspending wear-causing contaminants and reducing the corrosive effects of acids over an extended period of time. So with that said is the TBN a big determining factor in buying motor oil or are there other factors to include when buying oil? The marine oil offered by Amsoil has the highest TBN number over the other choices on their website under the diesel oil tab. So does this make it one of the better oil's to buy? Putting the price aside some would say "the more expensive it is the better it is" does this always apply? So I had a few questions any guidance would be awesome not to high jack the thread The reason I ask is I would like to put good oil in and take care of my motor as do many of you but I dont want to be wasting my money on oil that does the same job if not better than a higher cost oil.
