You know I have not been out there for any event maybe I should take my boys out there I think they would enjoy some events! We always do the whole monster jam thing but not this year waited to long to get tickets nose bleeds 57 bucks! no way!

I currently using a baldwin a 20 micron but I am switching to the Donaldson elf 15 micron along with my frantz oil bypass!

How was Vegas? That is my home town! Not to change subjects or anything.

What is the TBN and how do you tell if it is a good one? Also How can you tell what grade the oil is?

I have a question If you have an oil bypass which oil do you run? Is it worth running expensive oil like amsoil 5w 40 or even syn 15w 40 or just plain ole 15w 40. See I have the frantz bypass which I am going to put on at next oil change but I dont know if I should continue to use syn 5w40. I was going to buy amsoil 5w 40 synthetic a grade 4 oil or run amsoil's syn 15w 40 OE which I guess is a Grade three oil. The 5w 40 is 7 and change a quart and the OE 15w 40 synthetic is 5 and change a quart.

Thats cool I wish they had it for mac though! Thats all I own my mac laptop.

How often are you suppose to change the crankcase filter breather element? I have 82 000 on my truck now and in 2000 more its do for an oil change and a Frantz install. Come to think about it I have not changed my serpentine belt either. How do you guys remember when to change your stuff? wright down the milage you changed it and refer back to it. Just curious if there are any unique ways to help people remember.

As for the oil as long as its ash less its ok to run. you dont want to run anything that causes ash right?

Hey Guys thanks for the help and taking the time to teach a guy! I really appreciate it! --- Update to the previous post... Ok so if I were to say use a 500:1 ratio I filled up with 17 gallons of fuel. Multiply 17 by 128 to get oz's = 2176 then divide by your ratio which in this case is 500 it would be 4.352 or 4.4 oz's you need to add? Is this right does not seem like it? or... take 17 divided by 500 = .034 then multiply that by 128 to convert to Oz's right? = 4.352 or 4.4 oz's right :pray::pray::pray: hope I am correct!

So it is in oz's then? so if you had 300:1 its 300 oz fuel to 1 oz oil correct? I am really not that dumb I promise just SLOW. Thanks for the education

Ok dumb question 128:1 what does that exactly mean? I run 1oz to 1 gal in my 05 w/o issues.

I was wondering if any one was running the Frantz transmission filter setup on their rides and if they had any pictures to go along. I want to put another filter on my transmission and I was looking at dieselsite product which I like a lot. If you had coolant going into the cylinder would it smoke all the time? Cause I had an old subaru that I changed the head gasket on multiple times and it ended up being a hair line crack in the cylinder wall. That thing would smoke like crazy!
