  1. I bought a higher end one from the auto parts store and I personally did not like it. So I returned it and went back to the jar..
  2. Yep, this actually made me choke up and shed a tear! Source: http://jesus-loves-you.org/angel-on-the-highway/
  3. When I was a really young chap playing with computers when they just came out with windows 95, I was picking up on the computer thing really well. I even was building webpages writing HTML. I used to be able to troubleshoot and do pretty well, but once I started growing up and concerning myself with other things, I stopped. Ha, if I would have just kept at it, I'd probably be some fat IT guy instead. The telecommute type of work I was looking for was working for companies from home. Like, my wifes cousin works for Dell doing tech. support for them from home. Some telemarketing companies do the same, etc. These are the type of jobs I would like to do, because anything else, I'm pretty useless at, lol.Around here, I have definitely found out that it is not even worth my time or money to try and make money at firewood anymore. I have worked out the operating costs for it and what a cord of firewood goes for and I will end up making less than minimum wage!Speaking of doing the wildland, have you ever applied through the USFS? I'm trying to do that right now since the positions are open, but having a hard time navigating this mess.
  4. The metric system is all screwed up!
  5. Well, we got a skiff of snow last night. Believe it or not, I would rather be DUMPED on with snow and have to plow it all around than this stinking cold with the wind we have been having! ...you canucks can take your weather back!
  6. Mike, you gotta let our jokes phase you a little bit! :stirthepot:Hey, I never hear about your pops, where is he?
  7. Balaclavas are a wonder!
  8. Now, if there was someone here that could really give some surefire input about it!
  9. Anyone know or do you yourself have a home-based job? I'm really trying to figure this area of occupations out as I'm having some trouble deciphering what is legitimate and what is not. I would love to be able to have a home-based job to work. It definitely would be alot easier to do, but I don't know if the majority of offers made are really just a pipe-dream!What sort of jobs would I expect in a telecommunications job?
  10. Oh, yea, I understand that... But you said, "Women"... I suppose thats because men like bending things at 90 degrees? ...Mike is not one hell of a man?! Shoot! ...if I was not married.
  11. A heater core flush may remedy it. But the stuff that they sell now is worthless. Just as strong as a soap! The radiator shops may still have some of the good stuff, but its probably not going to be very common. EPA working hard... :banghead:I would think the easiest way would to take it to a radiator shop. Like I said, they may have the good stuff, and I would imagine they would just unhook both the inlet and outlet line to the heater core and flush it out with the cleaner. The guy I went to here locally can't use the cleaners anymore and he uses REALLY hot steam water with a good flow and pressure. Mine was so plugged up the core bellowed out and almost exploded from the amount of restriction. The best preventative maintenance is to regularly flush your coolant at the service interval. IIRC, use PH paper to determine value and change out if it goes too far from neutral. As well, this is just something I was told by a mechanic my father knows:Given that the vehicle serves as a ground for the electrical system, everything is essentially energized. This even means your coolant has an electrical charge. He said people never take this into account and use distilled water with their coolant. Given that there are no minerals, etc in that water, the process of electrolysis draws the block metal away from the engine and thins the metals out. So he said to use regular tap water with your coolant instead to prevent this.Whether or not that really has much truth to it, I dunno? He was a fleet mechanic for school buses and owns his own auto-repair shop as a home based business.I personally do not understand that reasoning as I would think the charge the vehicle gives the fluid would cause the minerals, etc. to want to be attracted to the metal and therefore cause an accumulation and then create a blockage...
  12. More often than not though, you should be able to smell the coolant if the core is leaking. Sweet smell travels in the air when the blower is on.
  13. I would be livid if I bought fuel that I could not use...
  14. I was considering velcro for them..
  15. And before you put it all back together, use ALOT of anti-seize.
  16. I've been wanting to crack a joke like that for a little now, but you broke the ice! What?
  17. You would smell coolant in the cab if it was the heater core. Get the vehicle up to operating temp and look around. If you have to, have some rev up the engine while looking. The extra flow and pressure should make the leak show up depending on what it is.
  18. Heck, Mike, if I can ever get down to you someday, if your a man that likes to fish I sure would like to hit one of those Mt. lakes! Some of the cleanest water I've ever seen.
  19. Dang! Thats one heck of a wood cook stove! I wonder what the compartments on the right of it are for? I have always been a fan of them. I'd love to have one, but believe it or not they are spendy! Plus, I don't like the enameled ones as well. They are ugly. This is something I could dig:
  20. Its a dog working thing... We wouldn't understand.
  21. http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/US/ID/Sandpoint.html?MR=1 Radio on the way home said that with our windchill we are going to have will be -11 tonight and about -22 tomorrow night!
  22. :thumbup2:I hope you will do well with juggling everything now, as well.
