  1. Stanley; Have you had the chance of trying another ECM. I have my cap on backwards now, & clearly something is not as it should be. I will try & take a video of my truck today, weather permitting. You will see what my point is at leaving, & how fast it comes on & refuse's to quit before I let off, or it tries to mess me up. It is snowing at the present. As soon as I add fuel, my S468 starts to spool. From burb on throttle & up. I only make 43 lbs. boost, but look at the air I am moving. 90 plus lbs.
  2. I just went directly to Caltracs for the best deal. Install is a little fun because of the aluminum bushings you need to insert in the front spring eye hole. Other than that, just make sure when you tighten the u-bolts that they are the same distance from the front spring eyes. To tight on back u-bolt or to tight on front u-bolt will change angle of rear hole on u-bolts will make you do the Macarena, fast. I can tell you how to adjust them when the time comes. IF you set them per instructions, they will be loaded all the time knocking the kidneys out of you. This way they are always set for track. I don't drive a track everyday. Once set right, you will notice how straight & hard biting they are.
  3. Just because I can. I love to push everything to beyond it's capabilities, then back off & find a very happy medium. Besides that my ulcerative colitis & Crohn's is trying to remove me from this planet for the last 3 month's. Hey Mike, I have a i5-9600k for sale at a good price. 1 1/2 years warranty on on it. You Sir are a wild man. Love your way of thinking though. Go big or stay at home.. You want to be a big dog, well get off the front porch step!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also quite colorful. I just like to see my EZ DEBUG LED'S Be proud. Your GPU would eat my GTX 1650 & fart Atari.
  4. This is 1 of the best setups. & yes your can still haul. Don't go by setting them up if you get them as per their instructions I will tell you how to set them up properly. Just ask.
  5. That funny. mine leaves like a gasser, I don't want to sound A*******SH, but are you getting dialed in right. That thing should leave like missile. What size are your lines. Do not dump the 6 x 13. PUT A SPRING GATE ON IT FROM STAINLESS & BE DONE.
  6. Correct, bolt on. They just don't prevent wheel hop, they plant you backside to the road. Once set right, the plant & pull is rathe quite easy to notice. Bars are to be kept straight. out of adjustment & the will swing you in a circle real fast. Measure the size of your tubes, 3.5 is 70 & 4.0" is 80. The cover will tell also.
  7. 14 psi should be 81, not 87. Strange it showed that in the picture. Timing perimeters are 0.0 - 0.0 - 100% - 0.0 - 35% RPM Max. 16.0 - 20.0 - 23.0 - 26.0 - 28.0
  8. Got bored with the truck since it runs so perfect. (Thanks Quad! Just doing a little Overclocking with my new build. Specs are in front of you. What do you think? This is an i5-12600k, Water cooled with triple fan push pull. Mobo is a Z690 A pro. Ram is Patriot Viper 4400 Mhz. Can you say fast? New settings are 52 x 6 core & 42 x 4 ecore. Idles in mid 30 C @ 1.350 Volts. Pretty far away from stock specs.
  9. They are called Caltracs. No wrap, just *** to pavement.
  10. Think again. 2001 HO, HRBDVP 44. 6X13 Infinite, 93 drilled out fuel tubes, stock lines though. & a S468 single. I dare anyone on this forum to think they could leave me on the line. Quite the opposite as all you would see is tailgate. Here is my fueling curve. Try it.
  11. Sounds like an interesting project. What is the machining that is done to the block? You have my attention. On another note, I was going to set my timing back because last week we had a couple of days at -38 C & with the wind it was -49 C. Then I got to thinking, why? So I left it where it was & all is good. First time to see fuel pressure to come in a lot slower rate with my new fuel pump, diesel must be like crude oil. Weather is back to normal now though. Also I got a 5th gen mini ipad upgrade compared to the 1st gen I had. The Quad sure like this one a lot better. It seems the truck runs a bit different, (yuk yuk) but no more waiting for it to find the Quad.
  12. Well that just made my day, thank you Silverwolf. I have read until my eyes have bled, but never would of thought to read something like that. Silverwolf, you remind me of a badger that keeps digging until satisfaction has been granted! The BD pump I have is the special high output. They even invite you to put a tuner on it. I have been running the guts out of this pump since I bought it 2010. It has never skipped a beat, not even this summer when I ran it out of fuel twice. The A1000 Areomotive pump had enough. It did throw the VP death code both times, & I removed them & haven't looked back. The way I have my timing set is that every 100 RPM'S it gains another degree of timing. EG. 1800 rpm - 18* of timing, at 2200 rpm, I have 22* timing. I know it sounds like bs, but it works.
  13. I totally agree with Silverwolf on HO motors. I have a 2001 manual HO 245 hp in my 2000 auto & this could be why timing is a little difference with the Hot Rod pump. The more compression the more timing you will have. Never did get a real answer on from anybody on this forum about it.
  14. This is what I put in mine. Summit PTP-4-510-BL Mirrors vibrate for a while. When you get on the skinny pedal, you move.
  15. No problems all around. I agree that is a lot of timing, cruising temps are 725 - 775 F* & nothing over 1200 with WOT. 21 -22 MPG.
  16. 16 - 20 - 23 - 26 - 28 As far as I believe they do add timing.
  17. I to have a Hotrod pump, from BD. I have tried many different timing tunes also. With mine as soon as I adjust the Max load timing offset or Low PSI timing reduction, the trouble starts. Light throttle timing advance is not liked by my pump neither. As in killing the engine, noisy, smokey & gutless. This is the way I have mine set & I couldn't be happier. Mine is auto, but just try these settings. Max load timing offset = 0.0 Low psi timing reduction = 0.0 Timing reduction scaling = 100% Light throttle timing advance = 0.0 Light throttle load limit =35

Sorry for not getting back sooner. Messing with Win 11. Turbo = S467.7 with Diesel Pump UK water cooled spool valve Injector = 6x13 (Infinite) Pop = 300 ? Trans = auto Axle = 3.55 Tire = 265 x 65 17
  19. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Can't argue with someone who knows what their talking about. Excellent answer Neil.

Could someone advise me on what the default parameters settings are for the Quad, & who set the defaults perimeters? Thanks
  21. Now that's just fun. I added 1* across the slider's. That's a noticeable difference. Tells me my settings were NFG. Left the fueling the same. EGT'S are a little warmer up top, but never seen 256* idling before. First time I have seen the fuel pressure warning light come on since owning the Quad also. I'll give it a couple of days to see if it's me or the timing. MM, your charts make it very easy to see what's going on.
  22. Thank you gentlemen. Now I can safely try different options. The thing I am concerned is that the HR pump does some pretty funky stuff with the timing. I have heard rattling that would put a baby rattle to shame. Don't want to lift the head if all possible. I am running the 13-17-21-25-28 now, & it comes out of the hole very strong & spool is fast. I have been able to adjust my spring gate with a lot less tension to make this even spool faster. The other timing adjustment is set at 3-3-100-4-35. I am very happy with the fueling, it's just the timing that scares me. I am going to go try some of the above settings & will report back later today. Again Thank you This is what I'm playing with. 62-68-12- top & 75-87-110 bottom, both billet. Stage 3 cam, 6x13 with .093 fuel tubes on a common rail head with Hamilton valve train upgrades. Pistons are coated with ceramic tops from a 2001 - 5 speed with the higher compression. BD HR pump, 3 piece manifold & CC Tunnel Ram intake. Steady 20 lb. fuel psi. ARP throughout. High stall converter with built trans. Fluidamper. Could it be a combination between the HR pump & higher compression that I'm getting timing rattle? Never thought of that.
  23. Thank you (ME) Could someone give me an example of where the sliders might be set. MM mentions 5* max. So would this mean sliders start at zero also & go up from there to say maybe 5*. This is very interesting. Information explained in a different way, but with the same end results.
  24. Is there any way of keeping the stock timing on the Quad? I am having trouble with timing settings & it pulling my engine down. I have tried quite a few different timing settings & I'm getting the same results. Not worried about fueling right now until I get this figured out. With the Quad on 0 trucking runs smooth & zippy. As soon as I go to 3, it pulls the truck down noticeably by listening to engine sound change. It sounds like it's being put under load. This does not happen at idle. It also makes the truck very sluggish.
  25. Throughout from idle & up. Dieselfuture, There is a little bit of a water passage at the back of the head on the bottom that needs a bit of die grinder. Other than that, just run Haisley .093 cross tubes. The head alone made a big difference in power. Lot more flow than stock VP.
