Very interesting thread ...... Like Michael, I also have an '02 ..... the difference being a Canadian spec'd vehicle with mandatory 'Daytime Running Lights' Would like to up-grade also ..... with economy in mind. Perhaps the Flosser 9104's with another lens polishing ....

Remove the console to change out the sunglasses door. Fairly easy to do. A little on the expensive side if you're a Canadian ... $60.- CAD I store chewing gum packages in mine. The garage door compartment is fairly useless ..... removed all the plastic 'guts' in mine ..... have a package of business cards there.

I make an 800 mile trip to the BC interior a couple times a year. Lots of adverse. Usually a light load of 1,000lbs. or so. Clean filters and TC-W3 ..... put my foot into it. Miles per gallon isn't a factor here. Full/multiple heat cycles throughout the power train. Old truck thinks it's a Corvette ! Just runs great !

The 'brine' that's sprayed on the roads here is 23% salt. It dissolves the spray equipment and the spray truck's removable sub-frame. Replaced every second year. I wash the underside of my truck and Jeep 2-3 times per week. Don't know if this makes any difference or not .... spray the 'wax' on the underside after the wash and rinse. This is at a local car wash. That 'brine' is bad stuff !

Ordered the evaporator and heater core for my '02 .... arrived the next day. Got it all back together this afternoon. Very labor intensive. Much debris around the evaporator. Mike's video was very good. Thanks Mike!

Have learned a lot from the threads on the HVAC systems in our trucks. Will be digging into my system soon. Question for you folks that have changed out the Evaporator & Heater cores .... Did you use OEM parts? Why I ask is that the Evaporator core lists for $588.- The Heater core lists for $221.- Add 12% tax .... If you've used 'other' brands successfully ..... would like to hear about them. Thank you .....

Mine is a CAD equipped vehicle ..... As you mention, it's best to shift below 10mph ..... I did not know this, and the Owners Manual procedure is quite vague. I will re-check the fluid level, and adjust my driving habits. I've been trying to shift it like the NP205 equipped '91.5 5sp ........ easy at many speeds. Appreciate the good information ......

'02 RC 5sp. ....2500 4x4 The transfer case will shift from 2HI to 4HI easily when stopped. Moving, it's difficult. Grinds. Shifting out of 4HI to 2HI on the move is very easy. Any ideas ? Also, could not find out what 'CAD' means in the acronym list. Does this term apply to my situation. Thank you, MM

Will be doing the disc brake adjustment on mine soon. OEM brake cables have worked the best for me too ..... quad / truck / motorcycle. Have a photograph of my motorcycle in front of the Lucile Post Office .... my FXRS Lowrider is named Lucille.

The pumped grease will go to the quadrant with the least resistance (worn) ..... leaving the other three quadrants somewhat un-lubricated. Prefer Spicer Sealed ......

Have the window and lock switches illuminated for night driving ...... Are the cruise control switches in the steering wheel supposed to be illuminated also ? Mine aren't illuminated ....... just wondering. Thanks, MM

The cup holder from Geno's worked great ....... no complaints! But, this console from a 2011 Dodge works better. Easy to install. The back two mounting holes match up, just drill into the mounting frame for the front two. Sits a little lower than the original, has a little less room, but opens easier and has the electrical 'ports' ..... and a lower compartment below the seat cushion. And again ...... because of the lack of spilled coffee, I'm getting younger, have untold wealth, and never get flat tires!

BBHD ....... any problems/second thoughts on the 111067 Anzo headlights? Plug and play ? Would you use them again ? My Canadian mode truck has the 'daylight running lights' ......

Ordered the 'RAZ' option OEM radio from ..... 1FactoryRadio This radio is AM/FM Cassette/CD .... It was modified to take the output jack for accessories (Sirius XM) ...... Ran a ground wire to the firewall. I prefer the factory radios because they aren't too complicated, the buttons-controls aren't microscopic, and the lighting matches up. They have decent sound, with good speakers. We sit in noisy vehicles ....... just how sophisticated is your 'ear' when Dwight Yoakam's in full howl ?

Did the same ..... ordered the Geno's cup holder, and instantly life changed for me! Met the woman of my dreams, won the powerball lotto, started to grow hair on my head, my dog likes me now ....... and best of all. No more spilt coffee !!! Good investment if you drive a stick transmission with the useless cup holders on the floor.
