My hood insulation is sagging badly especially in the area where my BHAF is going to be. Anyone got any ideas on how best to re-attach it? I was thinking maybe some type of glue, however, the heat might cause glue to melt. Any info will be appreciated.MOHOK

The local Napa near me has a good supply of clips that are similar to the originals, although finding some originals might be better. But that wouldn't solve the issue if the insulation is deteriorating. In that case, if you really want to keep it, you might be able to make some long plastic ribs to run clips through to help keep it in place. I took mine out years ago and haven't missed it really... With the hot turbo and exhaust manifold I felt it was more of a fire hazard than anything else.

I used self drilling screws (to the ribs) to reattach the under hood insulation. However, in the end, I removed the underhood insulation and the cowl air box... because it was great mouse habitat! Each section I ripped out, I was greeted with a shower of acorns. I didn't notice any noise difference from removing the hood insulation... if there was any, it would only be with the windows down! However, the cowel box insulation removal did make the truck louder.

Me too, mines been gone four years as well!

Add another to the MIA list :) Wish I could take the time to clean the cowel insulation up - eveytime I am working with the valve cover off and I bump it - crap goes everywhere and that makes me nervous.

i just adjusted my valves with the same experiance with the cowl insulation. i stuck a plastic bag up there and it helped some. kept getting in the way though. i guess they dropped the hood insulation in 02 because i have none.
