After reading mountains of threads throughout the years I've got to the point where I got some questions of my own and wanted to help out the site. Truck Info: 2001 Quad Cab Automatic ~260K Miles 4.10s BHAF, Torque Converter, Shift Kit, Fass Random small things like greaseable ball joints, etc Currently in Vancouver, WA and I work as a manufacturing engineer at a facility that machines die cast aluminum transmission housing components for the GM 9T50/Ford. I got my truck from my dad who bought it new and used it hard for 18 years as a work truck. It's towed a significant amount for an automatic with more th…

New member here from Nor Cal. I'm not new to Dodges or Forums, I just stumbled on this site looking into one piece drive shafts and thought I'd look around a bit. My wife and I have a slightly modified 4th Gen for towing and chores and a heavily modified 24V 2nd Gen for playing but it's also a DD.

I'm Dan. I currently split the year either helping on the family farm in Louisiana or studying finance in Tennessee at UTC. I worked for several years as a mechanic on heavy equipment and tanks in the private sector. I tore several ligaments in my left ankle several years ago, that being the primary reason for my departure from full time mechanic. I still like to work on things on the side on occasion, but it has limited my mobility in some ways. Can feel like someone has a knife in my ankle sometimes. After several years of being parked and me only making casual glances at truck, I've decided to get the 97 back into proper running order. The head gasket sta…

Hi, my name is Doug and I am based in Tauranga, New Zealand. I have a 1990, 12 valve 250 hp 6BTA in my boat in New Zealand and a 24 valve in my 2000 Dodge Ram 2500 based in Kansas City that hauls a 34ft 5th wheel. After finding out about the VP44 issues on this site, in 2019 I fitted a Raptor pump to the Dodge, my truck came from the factory with a tow package and as far as I can tell the original owner Charles from Illinois who I bought the truck from ticked just about every factory option that was offered at that time including a gauge cluster that is mounted on the pillar, the gauges are great but the fuel pressure gauge only goes up to 15 psi, what I would like inst…

Hi Everyone!, Im Cody. I have not been to forums for awhile for vehicles, used to be on Dodgeintrepid.net for years, but finally blew up at 300k and didn't buy another, still check in from time to time to help people out. Went into the VW scene, full vagcom setup ect. Never left my love for Dodges behind, I have a tired 1991 Dodge B250 van that is just not cutting it for work anymore, motors over 240k, cant tow anymore and a 1500 that I share custody over if I really need to haul. So I've been looking at a Diesel to love on. The search has gone on for 3 years now to find one cheap enough I can cash out on a single income and rebuild. Found one with a pos…

I've been lurking for a few days trying to learn what I could about my recent purchase, a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 quad cab with 8ft bed. So far I love the truck, been needing to upgrade for a while and finally pulled the trigger on this one with only 140k miles and a 5 speed manual. Nothing fancy about the truck, manual windows and locks, basically a work truck but I am fine with that. I'll be posting some of my questions later in the 2nd gen forums but for now just wanted to introduce myself and my truck a bit.

Greetings everyone, glad I'm finally on the forums. Just ordered a high idle switch kit as we are dropping temps here in Washington lately. I've had my 01 24v for 2.5 years now and love it so far, about all I do with it is tow my 70 cj5 around to wheeling events. Lots of info here and I'm stoked to be apart of it! SIG is updated so feel free to check it out, not much done yet but getting the itch for some injectors next.

Hi, everyone. New member here from Reno Nevada but I'm always coming to this forum when I'm researching things about my 2000 5.9 24 valve. I've also recently installed a quadzilla so I know I'll be spending a lot more time here. I'm sure I'll learn alot from the stickied posts and the experienced members. So thank you in advanced!

Just thought I would quit lurking and join the Forum. I'm 58, married to to the love of my life now for 35 years. I have a beautiful 21 year old daughter, she is the biggest reason my hair is turning gray and turning loose. I also have a 15 year old son who is keeping me young, best young man ever he is making up for his sister. Interests are shooting, Ham radio, and turning wrenches, and camping. Bought my first diesel about a month ago, a 1999 Dodge Ram 3500 4wd 5.9 Cummins. We try to camp as often as we can and I was killing my K1500 Chevy. So I bought the Dodge for the price and the Cummins engine. So far I love the truck. Plenty of power even when pulling…

Hello all! Sorry I have been radio silent for a while. I ended up selling the old 24v cummins after sticking a remaned motor in it a couple years back. I have since went to the dark side and am rocking a powerstroke these days. Don't hate me for it! I miss the Cummins everyday but I love the ford truck for everything else. A diesel is a diesel at the end of the day and I miss the environment here where everyone just wants to help. Ill get my info changed and try to check in once in a while!

Bought new in 1998. Been tweaking since. Did engine second time last summer, now finishing revision of suspension, as a 20th birthday present. 225K miles. 598 hp, 1150 lb/ft, 32 psi boost, 1200 degrees at 5500’ elevation. Was with TST stacked on Smarty- about to install Quadzilla and will dyno again. This truck makes me smile every time I drive it.

Hi all, been digging through articles here for a while now, figured I'd better make an account. I've got a 2002 2500 that I purchased from my dad back in October. He was the original owner, and this was the first truck I drove around when I got my license. Just the ST model, my dad likes simple. So far I've replaced the steering linkage with the 2010 upgrade, new track bar, new Bilsteins, new power tow mirrors, Quadzilla and a 4th gen center console. Also added a topper and built a sleeping platform in the back, my wife and I do a lot of fishing/camping trips. Would like to say thanks for all the help this forum has already provided. …
