We haven't ever had Bio Diesel for sale locally and I found a small start up company selling the Bio fuel today while searching for injectors for my truck. I know I'm not supposed to run 100% Bio,what % can I run with out causing issues? Truth be known,I don't know how its sold in the lower 48. With as much oil as we pump out of the ground here and all the technology floating around the state,I would have thought Bio fuel would have caught on long ago. I see the greenees driving the old Mercs,BMW's,VW's puffing french fry smell,so I know guys are making it in their garages. I hope this company makes it and we can finally start seeing it along side our diesel pumps.

Night lighting for the Dodge trucks I have sure has leftme wanting better. I decided to add the full blown Brite Box to my '05 and to upgrade the bulbs inmy fog lights. Now with my low beams on I can also use my fog lights (nothing new here overstock capability) that have the upgraded bulbs. This requires adding an adapterplug to accept the brighter capacity bulb. This gives me something like 40% more lumens that the stock bulb. Now when I turn on high beams my low beams also stay on as well as my foglights will stay on also. This required adding the Brite Box electronics aswell as necessary adapter wiring and new fused power taps going directly toeach bat…

Hello All, Going to run a compression test on my 2007 5.9 CR this weekend and was wondering if it is a good idea to remove the CP3 pump as it will not be receiving fuel during the cranking process for each of 6 cylinders? Thank you in advance for the input.

I broke down and ordered a Cam. Its a Colt Cams Stage 1. Its their mildest grind, but since I dont have big power plans I am not worried about bigger grinds. It also is the same cam that PDR sells with their name, and it gets good reviews, espeically with stock turbo's and exhaust brakes. Should be good for 100-200* EGT drop, 200-400 rpm quicker spool, and 1-3 mpgs. Its getting installed on the 26th. I'll be sure to do a good review post once I get a few miles on it.

I have a 2006 And recently purchased LED light bars which I would like to mount on the front of the vehicle. I will be replacing the two lower stock fog lights with LED pods and adding a 20 inch lightbar under the grill between bumper to use for highbeams. Ideally I would like to utilize the fog light function for the LED pods but leave the pods on when initiating the highbeams. Speaking of the high beams I was hoping to incorporate the 20 inch lightbar into the highbeam switch that's located on the steering column, does anybody see any issues with doing this? To summarize I suppose the total level of effort would be integrating the pods into the current fog light…

The guy at Orielly`s tells me there is two different size 14 bolt AAM axles listed for my truck, one is a 10.5 ring gear and the other a 11.5 ring gear. I`m guessing it is 11.5 but not certain? I`m getting ready to change the rear end grease, and looking for a new cover gasket..... He tells me both of the cover gaskets for AAM axles are $50.00 + !! I am tempted to try the old fashioned silicone route. Any thoughts?

Thought I would throw in a couple pics of my recent rocker flare install. I have had these on my last few pickups and I like them a lot with the amount of gravel I drive the running boards I had on this rig were totally trashed by gravel so back to flares I went.

installed winter front on my 04, left one flap open, proceeded to drive to town, about a 12 mile trip. most up hill. anyhow about 4 miles in the temp gauge was reading 120, but the fan clutch locked up like in a high heat situation. it cooled off some, another mile or so later temps up to 140ish, again fan locks up. so after my trip to the paint store, i opened 2 more flaps, head 3 miles away to sons school, fan locks in again and tempos are just barely 180. i'm reading temps on the dash and the edge. they both read close to each other. Trans temp never above 140, i guess questions would be, why is the fan locking up? temps from …

Hi there. Enjoyed the interesting articles. I have 2006 that looses RP under load while the lift pump holds 12-14 PSI at all times. Evidently the CP3 is able to produce 22-23000 psi but not the volume the rail needs since it sinks to 2000-3000psi under load. Ordered a new FCA Solinoid at genos Any Ideas ?

This is a good reason why I run Amsoil AME in my truck. As you can see the oil had over 10K miles on it. I ended up running it a little longer than I have been the last few years because I did a trip in May/June to Arizona and didn't figure the additional highway miles would hurt, and they didn't. 10,583 miles, 308 hours, 733.8 gallons, and just under 13 months. Of those miles 2679 were towing which is a decent percentage when you take out the 3544 miles I did in 6 weeks to/from Arizona, which is just under 40% towing. The oil looks like it had quite a bit of life left in it but I'm good changing it. Not to …

Just completed diag on 03 DR 3500 nostart, using TSB 14-003-06 RevA, as directed by Chrysler. Truck has 144K, no mods at all. In tank lift pump recently installed(by me). Truck has always had long crank time, scan tool shows actual fuel pressure slow to build to set point. Lift pump fuel flow exceeds minimum specs After diag, there is less than 100PSI during cranking. Unplugged FCA, no change(should have maxxed PSI). Performed hi pressure fuel flow test as directed by TSB, fuel flow was minimal. Result? failed CP3. No evidence of contaminants. My question is this: why do CP3 pumps fail? I've r&r untold # of vp44 pumps, and some common rail injectors, but no cp3 pu…
