Hey guys, something I have noticed with this '05 truck is that when I am towing and trying to take off I get a slight shudder. It doesn't last long maybe until 10 mph, but I do feel it. I was looking around and something that caught my eye was people were saying the shudder is caused by the two piece drive shaft. Anyone heard that? I know that on the second gen trucks a 1/4" spacer for the carrier bearing helped. Do you suppose I may try something like that? If I did, it might be a few months until I would find out if it helps.

The tilt wheel on my 2004 3500 is no longer working, it’s stuck in the all the way up position. I have watched a couple videos and know it’s the plastic part on the column that is broken. I can’t find the part anywhere? Can anyone shed some light on this?

I have a 2008 Dodge 3500 6.7, 6 speed it has been deleted but not tuned so the check engine light stays on. The issue I'm having is I went to get in the truck a few days ago and it wouldn't turn over, I have all power to the dash an when I turn the key the radio goes off and it won't do nothing. I did replace a battery end connector that was cracked. Replaced it and still nothing. The clutch safety switch is by passed also by the original owner and it did great when I got it, started fine an everything. I also did notice a lighting bolt that came on on the dash but now it's gone. Has anyone ever had this issue? Need help

  7. i guys, I bought an 06 5.9 3500 stock, manual 6speed with 241000 miles in January (at the time - 257000 now) , so I'm still not as familiar with it as I am my '01. When backing off the throttle going downhill (usually) I sometimes get the wait to start light appearing and the ten dings... BUT not loss of power (no limp mode). It does not seem to affect anything. Sometimes it clears after shutting down, sometimes not. I have a ODBLX with Torque and ALFAODB (altho I have not yet paid for that app), and no codes other than P0633 Skim key code show up. I also have a UltraGauge and monitor fuel rail pressure (about 7000 at idle, and never more than 20,000 at speed - which …

  8. I have a 2004 ram 2500 slt 5.9 automatic. Truck has ABS code 84 Vin Mismatch. ABS and Brake light are on and of course ABS does not function. No other codes in the truck at all. Every place I have called which repairs ABS modules, says they can not repair that issue. Chrysler discontinued the part. Supposedly it needs programmed. Local dealership said they can not re-program the ABS module. I have read you can swap it out with one from another truck as long as the part number is the same. I pulled one out of a truck my neighbor has and the part number is the same. Issue is still present. Anyone have any input on how to resolve this issue? Checking …

  11. I took some pics as I did mine last week, and thought I'd try making a write up on it. Basic tools etc. you'll need are , approx. 8qts. of ATF+4/filter,Governor press. solenoid and transducer,1/4' drive torque wrench, 1/4" & 3/8" socket sets, basic metric wrench set, a pick or small screwdriver, a drill with a 1/2" bit for the drain plug kit, big catch pan:thumbup2:, and a paint pen or sharpie, plus whatever I forgot:ashamed: 1) Drop pan to drain the fluid, the easiest way is to go around and loosen them all just a turn, then work from one side loosen the bolts in steps. The idea is to get the pan to drop on only one side to minimize spilling and dump the f…

Question - Do you lube your lug nuts or not? If so, what do you torque them too? I have always used anti-seize and torqued them to 135ft lbs. But last weekend I was going down the highway and my front right tire decided to pass me up. All 8 lugs were ripped out, and it looks like I had over torqued them. I realize wet the torque should be reduced, but never had a problem until last weekend. I have a 2007 2500 megacab and the hubs are ~6 months old with ~5k on them. Any suggestions? Thanks, Philo

  13. I have a 2006 ram 2500 5.9 cummins. Engine ran perfect until I had starter and batteries replaced. After that I was getting a code on banks 6 gun tuner saying fuel rail pressure sensor voltage out of range. Then it started surging from 1k to 3.5k and nearly caused me to wreck. Snap on diagnostic showed 1 injector was weak so I bought that and it cured the surge. The mechanic recommended I have the ecm flashed so I took it directly to the dealer and they flashed it. After leaving the dealership when you hit the go pedal hard I had spark knock and it was smoking bad. Had the mechanic ride with the diagnostic equipment and acceleration I'm showing negative 7 degrees timing. …

Here are some pictures of a Derale 15870 cooler that I installed for a customer. I haven't installed any of the wiring in these photos, but the fan will be controlled by a relay. The temp switch is on the inlet side of the cooler, and will turn the fan on at 180 degrees, and back off at 165 degrees. Here is the cooler (which is massive) and the bracket that I built to mount it to the frame. And the bracket mounted to the frame... The cooler mounted to the bracket. By mounting it at an angle, I was able to tuck it up against the bottom of the cab nicely, but not have anything hanging below the frame rail. Another …

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and forums in general. I have a 2004 Cummins that will crank but not start. This problem started many months ago with crank times getting longer and grid light coming on while driving. Finally it wouldn't start at all. Took it to mechanic and he replaced all 6 injectors with new bosch. He also replaced injector orings, supply tubes, FCA, and air temp sensor. I got the truck back and it drove fine for a couple of weeks and then wouldn't start. Took it back and he replaced an injector line that didnt seal properly and the starter. He claimed starter was not spinning fast enough. After work the next day it took about 5 10 second …
