    Gentlemen, I'm not sure how much anyone knows about this subject, so I'll throw it out there and let those who know more about it that me try and educate me. As you know, my 4500 grenaded, but my dad still has one in his 96 CTD. He's having a bit of trouble with 4th gear now and then. It feels like the detent ball in the top of the cover is getting "stuck." Like it's a little bit harder to push in, and there's no noticeable "clunk" when it drops into gear. Just slightly harder until the shifter is all the way down. Does this sound like an issue in the top cover? If it is, we'd like to swap the top cover with the one out of my 4500 and drop my old clutch in the…

    Well I installed my new BD Diesel Injectors and the truck runs good. Install went well oiled up the o-ring on the injector tubes and injectors every thing snaped into place. But I checked my oil level this morning and it seems that the oil is now over the full mark. Is it possible that the injectors would leak a bit after the install ? Thanks !

    Hi all, So shortly after getting my Fuel Boss lift pump and big line kit installed a few months ago I noticed that I have a 1-2 psi needle bounce in my autometer mechanical fuel pressure gauge. I am using a snubber from Geno's and my pressure tap is located on the filter canister outlet. As you can see here. The items are from left to right, Female JIC end of Vulcan Universal Fuel line(brass), Male JIC to NPT adapter(silver), Geno's snubber(brass), Street 90 from Ace(brass).     Hi Folks, My truck started smoking blue \ white at startup. I will smoke until I start driving, it drives fine currently it has 240,000 miles still on the stock injectors I get constant 20 psi fuel pressure at idle and between 15 and 18 psi while driving. i think my injectors are done what do you guys think ?     261k miles and my NV4500 finally died. Not the 5th gear nut. I lost both 3rd and 4th gear. I was just leaving my place pulling the trailer back to New Meadows, ID with the a truck on the deck. Got into 3rd and the stick was rattling oddly. Poured the fuel to her to get rolling and it popped out of gear. Difficult to get into 4th. I knew the transmission had lost a bearing or something. Got up to New Meadows flats and check everything over no leaks. 1st gear works fine, 2nd gear works fine, 3rd pushing against you and BANG! Then tried 4th its missing.     Hi all, I am looking for guys running the Fuel Boss with the FASS regulator (or similar) instead of the bypass valve it comes with. I would like to try it on mine but I'd like to find some info before I drop $140 on the regulator. I have the fuel boss and I like it, but I'd like to keep my fuel pressure a little more steady. So I'd like to talk to someone running this combo who can tell me how it actually works out. TIA!

    Hey all, I have a 2002 cummins 2500 SLT, manual trans, 4X4. The problem I have been having that just started a few months ago is the engine with die and then come back on going down the highway. The engine will do this on off on off surge like someone is turning the key on and off very fast. This will happen with the throttle pedal and or the cruise control. The fuel system is solid with a fass fuel pump and I have verified 15psi at my VP44. I have cleaned all grounds and verified wiring connectors are tight and problem free.     This started last week on Friday. Working out of town truck ran fine all week and drive home Thursday night. It was raining hard on way home. Got up Friday morning to run errands truck started fine let it warm up pulled out of drive and truck cut out 1/4 mile down road pulled over, was able to restart it to turn around and go home. It died again, buddy came and towed it home, got codes 0217, 0230, 0237, 1698, 1689 on ECU scan and 1693 on PCU. Lift pump wasn't putting out much flow so i installed new one flow was fine and had 20 psi cranking, got it started idled at 18 psi ran for 20-30 min. Shut truck off and now it won't start again.     Newbie here so please be gentle. I have a 99 24v, 4x4 auto 134k miles that started idling at 1000 rpm's and has a miss to it. Happened out of the blue while wife was driving. Idle stays at 1k and misses unless put in gear. when put in gear, it idles @ 900 rpm and smoothes out under load of trans while in gear. Truck runs out great as long as its accelerating but when you let off throttle you can hear it miss. Fuel psi is 19 at idle with a air dog 100 lift pump. Truck is stock besides lift pump. Sorry in advance for the long post, just want to give all info Amazing truck and very well built, however.... i bought it and the abs module was unplugged, never really considered this a problem ( not a fan of abs) but im sure you all know that the speedodoesnt work without it and is a requirement for certification in Ontario.     Today i went out and popped my hood to check the oil and noticed my drivers side negative battery cable was unhooked like it came loose. I thought i fixed my apps when i reset it but i must have just forgot to put the negative cable back on the battery. So is my rapid studdering a bad APPS? or is it a bad alternator? I do have the p0122 code and it cleared while the cable was unhooked. I dont wanna replace one and have it be the other. But while the negative cable was unhooked i didnt have any issue with my shuddering. Im kinda stuck until i figure this out.cause i cant drive over 50mph without it shuddering like crazy. I have a weird Idling @ start up any time regardless of weather temperature and effecting battery amps. after getting warm abut 160 or 165 no up & down but still high rpm Please tell me what is going on?     So I just had to replace the engine harness in my 1999 24v Dodge 2500 and after i hooked it up it would start dropping out of lock up, Thought negative battery cables were the problem replaced those and it still happens. I'll be going down the road and itll happen my rpms will go up about 200rpms and I loose speed. Thanks for any input really annoying having to drive 50 miles a day to work on the interstate with it doing this.

    Hi there my air filter making the loud noise like air compressor (pap pap pap pap) at all the time and continues while I'm driving. I open the air filter component cap, put my hand on the pipe going toward turbo, I feel suction & compress back and fort. oh I forgot to mention that when I lift air filter cap, noise was louder. I hop it can Be heard at video!!!!! Any suggestion is it normal or something wrong with turbo? PS: I've got to take a new video cause the one I've it's 537mb and can be posted.(I tried but web don't accepted)

    I attempted to change out the crank sensor today. And of course, it broke off. I screwed in a long screw and pried with a pry bar, it moved a short distance, but is wedged in there pretty tight and won't move any further. I'm considering drilling it and removing it in pieces. Input? Any other ideas?
