Been driving about a year after the 0216 code came up. It never came up again till a few days ago so I increased fuel pressure to 21-22 from 18 and throwing 2 quarts of 2 cycle with every fill up to help the VP.I have a significant increase in miles hauling the same heavy camper on the same almost exact 3 day long road trip sometimes going 3 times a year.. It's showing a little over a 1 mile per gallon increase to 15.3 from just under 14.:think:I thought the vp should give bad miles when the timing piston starts to wear (0216 error code), but there's no white smoke and no hard starts. runs really good.

This will be a little difficult to describe. When I first get the truck rolling in the morning, I'm hearing a rubbing sound which sounds somewhat rotational, in that it is not constant. It seems to be coming left front. It started a few weeks ago after I changed my crankshaft position sensor, where the only thing I had done was remove the started and reinstall. I have not lifted front end up yet to check wheels, but this noise stops after a few hundred feet, and seems to be only when the truck is not warmed up. If you have any tips please let me know so I can start checking into some things. The starter is brand new rebuild as of yesterday (warrantied one went out yesterd…

I would like to add the fuel filter as try keep debris away from raptor pump(raptor 100) but I has research and not see what is correct way for me to get a part kit to do on my 2002 dodge ram 3500 cummins as 2wd dually. Also I had noticed the my raptor 100 would not increase te pressure even I did changed the fuel filter at stock canister that did increased from 15psi to 21 but now it went back to 14psi after few weeks driving. I had not get chance to pop the line off at raptor 100 to see at screen to see if plugging up? I had put my cummins into my garage and stay inside for few weeks as had not get time to look at it. Also do I should just upgrade for two filters with…

Coming home from my trip to Texas last week and I see my isspro mechanical water temperature gauge setting about 215* but the gauge in my cluster and my ScangaugeII both reading 188-190. I check my gauges periodically when im driving my truck so I know it was not doing it very long. We stopped to run through the Chik-fil-a drive through and after about 10 minutes or so being back on the road I noticed it. I was running 80 so I backed off down to 70 and it came down a little, maybe 210 or so. I kept a hawks eye on it for the next 10-15 minutes and it just dropped to 195 or so like normal. I watched it the rest of the trip and since but it has not come out of the normal ran…

I have a P0122 TPS code on my 99 Cummins that I cannot get my scanner to clear. When I read the codes it was listed 4 times - twice for confirmed and twice for pending. I told it to clear all codes and I still have one confirmed and one pending remaining. I've tried several times but it won't clear. Any ideas would me helpful. - - - Updated - - - My reader is an ACTRON 9575.

2002 3500 dually 6 speed 200k. Bought this truck late spring, finally getting around to fixing things. Needs new rear rotors. Went to take the rear wheels off, passenger side came off fine. However the Drivers side inner wheel is stuck solid! Looking like some rust in there where the wheel mates against the hub. Dammit! :banghead: I tried everything, doused it with WD40, beat the tire (not the rim) with a hammer, won't budge. Kicked things up a notch and took the truck off jack stands & put the weight of the truck on the wheel & drove it back & forth in my concrete driveway. Nothing! Chirpped and spun the tires on the driveway. Still won't budge! (At lea…

I am wanting to start collecting parts for the conversion. So when I need to I can do the conversion. Spending thousands on an automatic rebuild doesn't seem smart. So what do I need? How big of a job is it? Weekend? Which transmission should I look for? I do want overdrive.

Installed raptor 100 about one month ago fuel pressure changes about every three days and has to be adjusted Up or down 3-4psi is this a problem with the raptor? If the screen on the inlet is clogged would it pump 42oz fuel at the vp in one cycle? When you set fuel pressure at 17psi at idle wot is 13 is that normal? Thanks Ed

I was cruising down the highway towing the boat a couple months ago, set cruise on 60 and just started to slow down nice and easy. Since then, it has been out except I tried it yesterday and I feel it trying to take the pedal but it gives up. I am looking for any suggestions on an accurate way to diagnose if it is a vacuum leak or something in the servo. I look forward to your response.

I figured now would be a good time to change the fuel filters being its double the typical mileage. Stock is suppose to change out at 15,000 miles or every other oil change. Here is what the stock filter and the Donaldson P551315 looks like after 30,000 miles of fuel pumped through them.I must be getting clean fuel because I was totally expecting after 30,000 miles I would be look at a AirDog filter that was black and the stock filter about the color I see now. But I was shocked to see both rather light colored. Now I know to just use my fuel pressure gauge and look for the fuel pressure drop. Because both of these could of gone farther yet and still in good condition.

So here I am again.... When I'm driving my 5 speed, usually in 5th and highway speeds, I put the pedal down and the rpm's go up but the truck doesn't accelerate. It doesn't do it all the time and it does it mostly in 5th gear. I know this is probably an easy diagnosis but I'm no mechanic so let's here some ideas!!!Thanks in advance!!!

Finally got a comp for my 02. I'm reading the directions and I'm having trouble deciphering where and what wire to tap. " Top wire closest to engine block". Anyone know what color this one is? Stock VP the engine is an H.O. Also, the instructions say nothing about the ground wire, can this go anywhere? Where did you guys that have one put it. - - - Updated - - - Never mind, ten pages into the search someone directed me to the Juice installation page from Edge. Alot better picture than the Comp page.

99,6XX miles and the injection pump is failing, again. I ordered the new vp today. I need a fuel pressure gauge because the air dog light must not be completely functional. Am looking at a juice attitude cts, thoughts? Why not get the power as well as monitoring is my thoughts. Occasionally I run red, good or bad idea? Do I need a fuel additive? What would you guys do to my truck to help with A) fuel problems and B) mileage? Can't keep dropping $1000 every couple years on a vp. Air dog has stock 15lb spring, should I change to 17lb? Keep in mind I do have emissions here in Denver.

My truck is in the shop I was just going to have them replace the pinion seal but then it turned into a possible bad yoke bearing now they say they need to rebuild the entire rear diff which will cost 3388!!!! There is no way I can afford that. Has anyone done this themselves could I take on this project with just a basic home shop? Or does anyone have any advice? Anything is appreciated thanks!
