2nd Generation Dodge 24 Valve Powertrain

so a few days ago i went to start my truck after work (sat 10 hours) and when i started it, it took 3-4 cranks instead of normal, ran rough for the first few rotations, then bright blue smoke was coming out of the exhaust. it has done this every time ive started it since. any ideas whats causing it? i need this fixed asap, vacation trip coming up soon! also on a side note, my fuel pressure gauge has a mind of its own. between 20 and 30 psi. bounces occasionally, spikes, doesnt alter whether i floor it or at idle

Code p1694 won't go away after I got a new torque converter put in. Lack of power still and have checked all the connection on PCM/ECM grounds ext. could this be a issue between the governor solenoid and the PCM? Running out of ideas.

So I will need to tear apart my NV4500 and replace the syncros because it grinds when I shift into second gear. If I double clutch then I can shift with out grinding gears, but trying to down shift is difficult, so I am planning on tearing it down to replace the syncros, just wondering if I should have any other parts handy to replace since it is opened up? It seems to be fine otherwise, no whining, the gear shifter is tight and it does not seem to leak any fluids. I do not know if it has the fifth gear fix or not? Thanks for any insight.

I have owned this truck for 15k miles and almost 1 year. It has never given me an issue. I have just installed a Quadzilla Adrinaline on my truck yesterday I took if for a drive on level 0 and the truck acted like normal but then fell on its face and would not go above 10 mph in 2nd gear (6 speed) no matter the throttle position. No black or blue smoke on first drive. Drove it back home and checked all connections, all were good. I double checked the pump tap and there was no issues there. Hey guys, Now I know iv'e been over this particular topic before but iv'e come to view some new info regarding lift pumps well new to me anyway lol. So I was vewing some threads on here and came across the Assassin lift pump, and read that these pumps actually increase pressure with RPM's which of course I really liked that, and the fact that there a mechanical pump. Also during my discovery i read that in order to install this pump you have to replace the draw straw. Is this something that absolutly has to be done with this style of pump? My torque converter is on it's way out and I'm swapping it this week for an upgraded billet low stall single disc, anyways, what else should I replace (budget friendly) while I have the tranny out? So I installed my 7x.0105 injectors last weekend but ran out of time to do my airdog and sump. It always seems to be the boss lady has stuff for me to do when I want to work on my truck so yet again I'm only left with Sunday to play. was a pretty straight forward install on the injectors seeing as my day job is a diesel tech so was a walk in the park for me. Had them in and set the overhead in about 2 hours. Truck runs awesome, but I'm glued to my FP gauge and getting on it obviously the pressure was dropping more than I liked. Hey everyone. I have a glowshift fuel pressure gauge on my 99 and it fluctuates a little intermittently. I run a FASS 150 and I also replaced the stock filter housing with a 2 micron spin on filter and located my sending unit in the output port of the housing. Fuel pressure never drops below 15 at wot and never above 18. It seems to only fluctuate at idle. Also I removed the banjo line and replaced with 1/2 hose straight into the vp44. What can I do to stop the fluctuations and should I move the sender closer to the injection pump?

Lost lift pump and this morning I have the p1689 code. Truck still starts but guess the airdog took out the injection pump also. I think that it is just barely under warranty. Ill have to check.

I think I have a dumb question but here we go,I bought a 2002 quad cab great condition, got it home and looked at the air cleaner and noticed the guy before didn't put the top of the airbox on right and looks like it sucked in some dirt?Took the intake tube off and noticed some dirt on the turbo fins is there any way to clean it besides sticking a rag in between the blades, like some carb cleaner???????????

I am a newbie here but I have been reading for several days and most everyone can only get maybe 18-20 mpg out of a 24v. Trying to figure out how my truck gets such good mileage. Just got Draw Straw 5 from Vulcan to help with 1/4 tank sucking air problem. I got an upgraded in tank fuel pump module. This kit replaces in tank pump with clip in aluminum fitting and flex hose to top of sending unit. Then it says to replenish fuel back to module I need to use factory outlet (that's not used anyway) as return a quick connect that is 3/8 and new fitting is 3/8 to 1/2 barb. Before I did this my return was going to filler neck. So now that I got it all plumed according to instructions my fuel pressure went up to 22 where before it was 19. The only thing I can think of is restriction in return going from air dog to module, the actual hole in module is just …

I have looked over many different threads regarding injectors however these threads are almost 8 years old now. I have also been following the Quadzilla V2 threads very closely and recently purchased the iQuadBT. Like most guys I have gotten the thirst for more horsepower. I am on a limited budget and I am still looking for a reliable daily driver. WTS Lamp will not come on. Truck still starts. Manifold heaters do not come on. Has a hard time starting in the cold without block heater(start up) Runs good. I usually wait for instrument light to turn off before starting.... WTS LIGHT has not been working for 5 months. Any ideas appreciated... I let it sit for two weeks. Batteries went dead. Tried to start and the lift pump stayed on. Charge the batteries and that problem stopped.

I went snowmobiling the other day and now have popping going on inside my front end when in 4wd and there is pressure on the drivetrain. I believe it is the CAD as I have already jacked up both sides, checked all 5 U joints and turned the driveshaft (Pinion feels tight and driveshaft turns with ease). All U joints look good and have no slop in them. The transfer case has very little slop as well. The only thing left is the CAD. I think the diaphragm inside the actuator has gone bad because I can suck on the side that pulls the CAD over onto the disconnected side and it holds the vacuum. What's up gang? I've got a simple question for you. What is the maximum reccomended speed for shifting in and out of 4wd? We recently got snow here and some of the roads are covered and some are dry so it's kinda a pita to stop and shift in and out as needed.

i swaped out my clutch in the shop most of the fluid leaked out. it looks like it all came out of the shifter mounting flang. why would some much come out of the top or should i look for another leak.
