  1. well, I've wanted a manual since day one, but the price tag on the truck I got with an auto was hard to pass up....now that my 47re is giving me grief, I'm debating a manual conversion, but I dont really want to dump a bunch of cash into a conversion with an nv4500 or 6500, the 47re can be beefed up to out preform either of the manuals for our trucks, but getting a built auto will put me at about the same price as a manual conversion.....so why not put a tougher manual in it!?!? I did a bit of lookin and can get ahold of a eaton fuller rto 6610 pretty cheap! I'll have to throw some taller gears under it so I can get some speed and fuel economy out of it, and probly have …

I have a 1998.5 5.9 24 valve dodge 2500 diesel. Recently had the transfer pump replaced then right after it started having a bad/missing idle in park but only when truck is warmed up. I replaced O rings between transfer pump and oil filter housing, changed fuel filter and cleaned air filter. Any suggestions on the bad idle?

Okay guys, on friday as i started up the truck, there was this loud buzzin sound coming from the front end, then faded out. Truck ran fine on the way to work. At the end of the day, same noise, same result, but truck started to stall out. Any feedback would be appreciated.

  4. Truck runs smooth as glass, good fuel pressure at 19, 15wot, 65k miles and got trouble codes 1693 and 230. What's with that everyone? I'll clear the codes and report back. Thanks for any help. Update; I checked the code list and it does not mean a bad vp. 230 means incorrect lift pump voltage from the ecm. I'm hoping it's just dirty battery connections. Now cleaning all battery terminals, checked lift pump connections and batteries still unhooked with headlight switch on to get rid of residual electricity in the system. Hope I'm on the right track here. --- Update to the previous post... I hooked everything all back up and still got code 230. …

I'm new to the forum and new to dodge automatics, my truck used to surge at light throttle between 1st and second occasionally now it won't shift from first to second under regular acceleration unless you let up on the pedal. If you baby it, it shifts just fine, I just changed the fluid and filter two weeks ago and the output speed sensor last night. I tried to pull codes but there aren't any at all not even pending codes. The APPS was bad when i bought the truck back in January and I replaced it with a genuine Mopar. I am not sure where to go from here any help is greatly appreciated.

  8. I posted this over on CumminsForum and I figured that it'd be useful here too. I recently purchased an Airdog 150 for my truck and wanted to mount it where it would be protected by the skid plate. I knew that AD used to make a shortbed bracket, and I've seen a few of them on this forum and others, so I set out to make my own. I bought some 1/4" steel plates from lowes and cut/drilled it to copy one of the supplied airdog plates. Then I welded another steel plate perpendicular to that plate and drilled a few holes for the AD bracket. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about so far: Here's a shot with the bracket bolted on: I found a…

just happened all of a sudden started out taking 2-3 more cranks then usual and now today hot or cold will hardly start.. Ive had air dog raptor on it since 174k miles now its got 220k. Wouldnt think the injection pump would go bad if the pressure has been good for 46k miles any advice would be helpful trying to advoid spending ton on vp

Ok gang... I've now got one I need to research and figure out. I've got a random front end popping noise that is hard to reproduce. Like I seem to be able to reproduce it the most getting in the driveway because of a few tight turns I've got to make and you can feel the pop in the floor on the drivers side. I jacked up the front end and looked everything over the best I could and didn't find any damaged parts. Last fall [*]Ball joints [*]Track bar Last summer [*]Wheel bearings Steering is tight and good condition but there is a good pop when it does it. Now the only thing I did find is the driver side fender is torn loose from the body in 2…

I have looked this subject of the HHO system over back a few years ago when it started getting more publicity. At the time, I was still in the gasser world and never gave it thought to a diesel. Now that I'm a convert and drive a diesel, I wonder what benefits there may be using this system with a diesel?I can think of a few things that need to be addressed at the beginning:- Hydrogen embrittlement- Low ignition point of hydrogenNow, as far as pre-detonation goes, this may be addressed by my VP44 and the CR's, but I don't think this is an entirely viable thing with the p7100's.Has anyone ever heard of using HHO on a diesel, or let alone run one?

My truck was running great then all at once stated to miss/loss of power. Pulled into a fuel stop found oil everywhere(gasket on lifter/pushrod cover spewing oil)have determined these were not related. Would 1689 pop up because of ECM being unplugged? Think I have a bad injector,so going to take them into get tested.

I had an issue where my truck wouldn't move when put into gear until it warmed up. Someone here said it was a seal or pump. Well, I had it rebuilt and got a good deal ($850) from an in-law. After a couple of weeks, the problem is back. I usually warm up the engine so it hasn't bothered me especially since it works fine once warm. The question is whether or not it will damage the transmission as long as I warm it up? I'm reluctant to take it back since I got such a good deal.

  17. after a long and arduous battle, my vp44 has been replaced and seems to be running like a top....good fuel pressure and such....but after letting it sit for about a month, I now have to crank it pretty hard to get it to start, almost feels like it has air in the lines however I have torqued, checked and re-re-double-quadruple-checked all the lines and they are all holding fuel....?? my second question, just after I replaced my vp the first time with a used pump, that failed shortly there after, my 47re started having issues shifting out of first!! I thought it may have been a clog in the valve body, it sat for a while, but a good ****** of the valve body with brake clean …

Ok ive go this new industrial injection turbo silver bullet 66.. I got edge juice hot unlock and ddp 250 hp injectors.. Now wastegate it set at 50 psi. When im towing in 5th gear turbo cuts out sounds like it when you got it spooled high and just let off throttle real quick makes that bark noise. Well it does this while im towing for no reason im trying to pull a hill and it hit bout 25-30psi and it keeps cutting out makes it imposible to pull... Now it only does it in 5th under a big load i can drop to 4th get rpms up to 2500 and it still sceems to cut out a little not as bad as 5th but i can actually get to 40psi in 4th.. Now is this a turbo problem or a fuel problem I…
