I have an 01 2500 but recently changed the factory stereo, it finally gave it up. My problem is all but one of the speakers quit. There is supposed to be a factory amp somewhere and I can not find it. I have the harness to bypass the factory amp, which i think is the problem but I need help finding it. I have already replaced the new stereo I installed but that didn't help so it has to be the factory amp ??????? Also, I have replaced all the factory speakers. I really do not want to cut any wires, all the aftermarket stereo was installed using Metra connectors to save the wires. Cutting factory wires just leads to problems later on, or at least that is my opinion. Just ca…

I'm in the process of replacing a leaky heater core. My A/C system has a slow leak, and I'm wondering whether or not to re-use my existing evaporator core. I'm curious if there would be any outward signs of it being leaky. Or would you folks just replace because you're in there anyway?

It's been several years since I've had to buy anything electrical for a vehicle. Years past I bought Napa components since that was the only game in town. These days one well respected independent shop recommends O'Rielly's, saying they won't buy Napa electrical parts, while some knowledgeable friends have had problems with O'Riell'ys parts. I need a multifunction switch, which store is recommended for quality electrical parts? Thanks

Most of the summer, the only way to get the drivers side to work was to 'thump' the inside door panel, just below the switches... whilst holding the switch. Made for some pretty erratic driving to say the least.. sonny tried a new switch, but that didn't work either, same action was needed to make it work. Now the passenger side no longer works, but it worked fine until yesterday. Is that metal 'fuse' in the side dash a fuse, circuit breaker, or relay? It's the same that runs the power seats.. but swapping them made no difference.. seat works fine with either. So, what's the order of events here? Fin…

While driving today i hit a dip in the road, and -- i was just enjoying the outside air through the vent fan. After hitting the dip my air changed to real hot air just like i turned the heat control up.The truck blew a fuse, and the door locks quit working all at the same time.Something is not right, but have no idea what. Turned off the vent fan because the air conditioner wouldn't work either, and replaced the fuse to the door locks, now everything works.Guess I'll have to watch those dips in the road.

I was curious if the passenger seat belt on anyone's single cab truck can lock. Where you pull the belt out all the way and it ratchets back. So you can put a car seat in. I am am not sure if the seat belt isn't working right in my truck. Thanks

Hey, so I'm new to the forum, so I'll apologize in advance if this post is a potential repeat...... I have a 2002 Ram 2500, and a while back it started blowing air only from the defrost and floor vents, nothing from the dash. I've located the issue, which is a plastic lever that connects the vent blending door to the actuator. The problem is that it's a discontinued part, and I'm struggling to locate one. Does anyone know where i can find OEM parts? Near as i can tell from the exploded HVAC drawings, the part number is #04720348.

I discovered that the pins that the front calipers slide on were really stiff. I took them out and cleaned them and now I wonder what kind of lube to put on them, if any.

after doing a head gasket job on my 1999 24v cummins i started my truck back up after getting everything back together, and i noticed there was a check engine light but didn’t think much of it. once i drove it i realized i had absolutely NO power and no throttle response after 1200 rpms. if i kept the pedal all the way down it would slowly get up to 2000rpms so that my auto trans would finally shift. after getting on a back road and giving her WOT i was able to get up to speed but it was a dog. i had no problems with my VP44 before hand. also, when we had the code reader plugged in while driving it said i was only giving 40% throttle while i had it WOT. i have zero boost …

First off this is mainly for a 98 Grand Cherokee. Haivng done the heater core and evap in it in time for winter, I had to wait to refill the AC. Which of course I am almost certain the heater core started leaking again. Same symptoms as before. Got the core from rockauto. Aluminum one with a type of crimped on line. Doing research others have said the lines has a good amount of resistance to them to turn. Well mine didnt. would almost spin on there own just by gravity. Of course after the jeep is back together. How this relates: During searching on trying to get the AC working in my truck, and seeing Mike's heater core pics, My 01 Ram the the 98 Gran Cherokee use the sam…

Looking at this: http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/product.aspx?pf_id=FS1212-UK I already have issues with the restriction of the stock in tank pickup. I can pull my Raptor 100 down from 20 to 14 psi so I don't want to make that worse, but I also want to protect my pump. Whatcha think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
