2nd Generation Dodge Non-Powertrain

My blower works only in the morning , when I drive 10-15 miles and turn of the motor and start again , the blower will not work. now I found out coolant is leaking on the passenger side the carpet is real wet. dodge dually 2001

So, I have a condensate drip in the passenger footwell. I cant tell where it is coming from. Condensate does come out of the drain in the firewal (engine compartment) but will drip into the cab. Ideas? Note: its quite a bit of water after an hour or so of driving. Cant find any cracks etc. :confused: Thanks!Ken

I'll make a quick post on this. If you have truck that got the OEM rear sway bar end links still I highly suggest replacing them very soon. I'm learning just because something can last that long doesn't mean its a good idea to leave in that long. I ended up pulling the entire rear sway bar to just replace the end links. I had to stick each end in my table vise and heat them with MAP gas torch nice and hot and beat them out with a 6-pound hammer. You'll find Dodge really screwed up and has the bolt inserted from the wrong direction on the driver side. The fuel tank is in the way. So you end up pulling the mounting bracket which has 2 nuts. I started filling my trucks up at the coop, no particular reason. Anyway I always hand calculate my full mileage each fill up so I filled up and wow 17mpg in my 05 It has never goten better than 16. So I was observing the pumps and in fine print and it said 5% bio deisel.Three days later I full up my 01 and she got 16:thumb1: and she weighs 11k loaded with all my junk.This is with two stroke in the tank. Work truck normally gets 14.5 to 15.75. I like this bio stuff, we have never had it around our little town. Pay a little more but hey more mileage.

I was wondering if anyone has had the {death wobble} i have recently had a very bad vibration when you hit a pot hole at 45+ mph, the vibration is bad enough you can not focus on anything in front of you, it goes away when you slow down and clean your shorts!

A while back I had my rear drivers side axle out to replace the wheel seal that was leaking and I noticed my backing plate was getting pretty ripe. Kind of said to myself, wonder when i'll have to replace that ? Found out tonight that it's now! Noticed the emergency brake was going alot further today and wasn't releasing well so I jacked it up tonight to adjust it, but noticed the star wheel for adjusting the shoes was sloppy. Thought I should take the rotor off and look ,and bam, backing plate was rotted off and the one side of the brake shoes let go. Looks like I know what I'll be doing in a couple days when my parts come :banghead:

Hey all. So was cruising down a dirt road here at about 30-40 and gave her some fuel and tires broke loose a bit. With that, I got a bouncing vibration in the rear end and I’m assuming it was axle wrap. Is this normal since I have higher HP than stock with no trac bars? It does the same if I break lose on pavement too. I’m trying to figure out if it’s just the added HP or if something is worn and needs replacing.

I want to add two more gauges to my truck.Even if mechanical probably needs wiring for the background lighting.Whats the easiest way to have them all running of a 12v power - rather than runnning 4-6 different wires to the battery or to fuse taps ? I've seen this a few times where people claim that cold weather will produce more drag on a vehicle just the cold dense air. So just for the fun of it I went and did the calculation on just the air drag part of it. Not factoring in other loses like fluid thickening... I need front rotors.Napa and buyright and auto zone all are about the same price.Problem is all are from china.I want factory replacements, nothing fancy. Any of you have good luck with china rotors? Oh crap i posted this in the wrong spot The rotors are for the 01 in my sig.

First I have to say MoparMan rocks. Has saved me hundreds if not thousands over the years! I'm looking for suggestions on the hard lines from the ABS controller and aluminum block that run to frame mounted blocks. It appears that Dodge went with a hybrid of standard and metric on the lines. Wanted to se what y'all have done when they rust out. I was blessed that failure occurred on the ranch and not on the road. Is there pre-bent lines available or has anyone used stainless braided for this application. Thanks for any input.

I know I have read this before but here goes anyway. My old motor ran around 40 plus on the oil pressure, new motor runs on the edge of the next mark up. A big diff. from before, and I know it could be the sending unit which I can swap out sence I have a new one on my old motor. What would the next mark up be? And where does your gauge run?

Just installed the Rock Solid bushing today and wanted to share my thoughts. After repairing my seized steering shaft I went through the directions and started the install. Instructions were detailed and helpful. I performed the install on the truck and found it easier to remove left front tire and fender skirt. After that it was pretty straightforward. I did make a longer installer out of pvc pipe so that I could drive it in from the fender well. The results are very good. No more rattling column and steering is tight. All in all it was a good investment of time and money.

So, you ever do something and think nothing of it, and then it goes bad and then you sit back and reflect and realize that you know better, or should've known better . Loading my tractor on the trailer yesterday and was pointed ona bit of a downhill grade...there was the mistake...and had the E brake on and in gear, but soon as I got the weight of the tractor up on the back of the trailer I think you all know what happened I went on a little unwanted drive with the truck, trailer and tractor for about 50 ft and then the trailer pushed the truck into a jackknife until I came up against a telephone pole i have in my yard. How do I replace the driver's door ajar switch? That is; what tools are required to remove/replace it, maybe an instruction sheet, the part number, and recommendations on where to buy it.The shaft has a crack in it and the plunger cannot be placed back into the shaft.Thank you,Gary

Came off the HVAC or maybe the ECM or who knows while taking the dash off. I thought it was something obvious and easy to remember but I can't remember or find a place for it to go for the life of me. Any ideas?

Im purchasing Carli starter kit for my 01, I have 33" tires and from my understanding i need control arms that are 1/2" extended to push the axle forward back under the truck. Carli's control arms are $700 that seems outrageous to me. Just wondering what you all suggest for control arms, i still want good quality just wondering if there are cheaper options. And is 1/2" the correct added length im looking for? Thanks yall
