Hello everyone,, Is the reliability on these as bad as everyone says? I am considering buying one in the next 6 months as a winter beater for next winter, and really want to know what I could potentially be getting into. I know Dodge gets a bad rap. Yet I still see a decent number of them on the road. I am aware that the trannys on these frequently go. Is it a fatal design flaw that causes this, or is it something that can be fixed with some steady maintenance and an extra tranny cooler? Not trying to start a brand fight, just don't have as much experience with Dodges and was looking for some input.

Several guys have expressed interest in a thread about the 392 stroker Hemi that I'm building. I figured I'd go ahead and chronicle everything the best I can. I'm still waiting for some parts to show up, but here's the basics of what I'm doing. The stock Dodge 5.7 Hemi has a bore of 3.917", and a stroke of 3.58", for a total displacement of 345 cubic inches...or 5.7 liters. I am having a little fun with this one, so I'm boring it .010" just to clean up the bore. I'll be using Mahle forged pistons specifically designed for the crankshaft and rods that I'm using. Speaking of crankshafts, that's where all of the fun will come from on this particular e…

I may be purchasing a 2019 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack Widebody as challengers have been my absolute dream car and I’m obsessed with them and have been for a while but I’m scared at making the wrong choice transmission wise. I don’t have much experience behind a manual, just some little lessons here and there and know how it works but I’ve never fully got to be comfortable in a manual vehicle. I want it as my daily driver and everyone talks about how you feel so much control in the car and makes the experience extremely fun and that’s exactly what I’m looking for and would definitely want to learn stick and become the best I could be with it. Really what I’m asking is wn …

I recently purchased a 2020 Scat Pack. It has the alpine speaker package, and I’ve noticed that with some songs, mostly EDM, it will make loud pops almost like the speakers have blown, even at very low volume (I usually have the volume between 10-15). Anyone else having this problem or have a way to fix it?usps tracking showbox speed test

I am replacing the front wheel bearings on my wife's 2010 town and country and did a quick search of the axle nut size and it's a 32mm. Not sure why I didn't buy a replacement nut when I bought the wheel hubs a few weeks ago. Now I have to wait another 4-5 days to do them. I'm also doing the brakes and have to replace one of the rear caliper brackets. I had to order that online as well. At least I can finish the front brakes while I wait for those parts to come in. I remember doing the brakes a few years ago on it and having to replace one of the brackets and I just went down to my local AutoZone and they had it in stock as well as the axle nut for my 2002 explorer t…

Weighing options that are at a local dealership.. They have a 2016 Charger Hellcat with 26k miles (Lease vehicle with less than 10k a year) and a 2020 Charger Scat Pack Widebody. Both would end up around the same price- maybe even a bit cheaper on the Hellcat. Full factory warranty on new and none left on Hellcat. Ive seen you can get a Chrysler service plan up to 7 years with unlimited mileage that seems to cover ANYTHING mechanical for around ~$5k. Whats the best option here? I hear people say Scat Packs are better than Hellcats and vice versa. The service plan would definately add piece of mind. Any experiences with the Chrysler/Mopar service plans? Spec…

I recently had my turn signal on the left side start blinking fast and so I decided I’d replace both sides, front and rear with the Sylvania LED’s instead of the OEM replacement. And now both sides blink fast. I’ve heard some talk about needing resistors? Not sure how to even come about finding out the specific ones I need or where to find. So I ask for y’all’s help please.https://19216811.cam https://xender.vip https://testmyspeed.onl

Hey everyone! I'm looking for any help I can get. We just acquired a 98 dodge ram 1500 sport, 5.2L 4wd auto trans. The guy we got it from is not mechanically inclined, and told us that it "just died" on him one day, and has been sitting in his driveway ever since. Upon looking into it ourselves, we came to find that there is no fuel pump sound and no spark going to the plugs or the coil. The truck is trying to start fine, but will not turn over. We replaced the crankshaft position sensor and tried a new ignition coil as well. Obviously, none of that worked. Also checked all the fuses and relays, including the ASD relay. We even tried wire brushing the mounting bolts for t…

I'm considering getting a 2nd gen ram 1500 (gas engine) to haul stuff for my family because we don't have a utility vehicle. What I'm wondering is what is the coat going to be like? I've seen scattered review of people complaining about the axel problems and reliability problems? Is this a good idea to buy one or should I stay away?tweakbox appvalley https://vlc.onl/

I drove my wife's Jeep JK after getting new lights for my truck and I realized that her Jeep was in desperate need of some new headlights also. I did some searching online for some good headlights. She said she wanted some Halo Headlights but I just couldn't bring myself to get those (**shudder**). I found a good review on these lights on Headlight Revolution. They mimic the same light pattern as the OEM style but a lot brighter. I took it out for a drive last night after installing them and they are really good. Night and day difference . The OEM halogens are more yellow and get washed out a lot by others coming at me especially in wet conditions (and that's 90% o…

Hi All, Wondering if anyone has a found a list of Brake Rotors by bolt pattern and then diameter and offset? My 73 interceptor has a toasted front rotor and I need a pair. Found some in Australia, that were reasonable but the Freight!! OUCHH!! So I know that they didn't reinvent the wheel but no one stocks them. It is a 3 caliper system from the rebuild kits available. I'll Yarf it apart tomorrow. These guys list them as rear Rotors from Jag but Rock Auto shows all the Rears as being 4 bolt pattern. So it's a 5 on 5 I'm pretty sure, B / E body. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jensen-Interceptor-MK-I-6-3L-V8-1968-1973-FRONT-DISC-BRAKE-ROTO…

Hi, I want to service the 62TE on wife’s 2015 Dodge Caravan. I’ve dual-purposed the oil dip-stick in order to read 62TE fluid levels, but have not been able to find instructions on adjusting the 62TE Bands when I service it. Mopar Tech Authority has a CD or USB manual for $160 with tax/s&w but I’m not ready to bit that bullet yet. Anyone know procedure for Band Adjustments or location of same? Thanks and Happy New Year Leaky

Started to tear into parts today, and I figured out why the transfer case wouldn't shift....shifter frozen solid w/ rust. So it brings up the question for me, who do you trust to deliver good new and or used parts? Not taking NAPA type stuff, but the odd stuff. I'm having a bit of a time finding a vendor. I have most of the PN's from my parts book, but searching with them isn't yielding much. Thanks!
