I know this is dangerous territory... but if I won the lottery... I'd like to see a modern hemi in a Shelby roadster replica. I recall fondly a friend's Dodge 354 hemi/Coronet...

The Cirrus has been my Daily Driver... easier to get into than the 4X4. I've been bothered by a vibration for a couple of years. Additionally, I've had slow tire / wheel leaks that have necessitated blowing them up once a week or so. The tires I had on it were winter tires bought by Dear Daughter for her Sunbird when she grew tired of getting stuck in Vermont winters... she drove it home & the car died. After it sat for a year, she junked it & I pulled the tires. The Cirrus was the only car the tires fit so I had them mounted when I needed new skins. Asside from being noisy, I drove them without any issues for the first year or more. Then the vibration st…

Having issues with grimlings appearing into this build, current mileage 227k on original motor. Started all 4 cylinders misfiring on bank 1. Moved plugs, coil packs, injectors, nothing changed. Pulled compression and got 60lbs, was told “you have internal issue”, decided to split block apart and have a look. Only had 1 minor sticky valve on driver head, still had factory hash marks on cylinder walls, no scratching on cam, crank, nothing. So we bore block .20 over, 4340 forged eagle crank, 32t reluctor wheel, 112-500-11 comp cam, h-beam connecting rods, springs, valves, seats, re-serviced heads. After build was told “ pcm “ replace with new vin programmed, didn’t fix, new …

Installing aftermarket catalytic converters may trip a check catalyst below threshold code or a rich to lean code in these cars depending on the brand you bought. These motors are very sensitive. I bought a set of BBK high flows and had this issue and it took me forever to track down a simple enough remedy so I thought I might share my findings here. With the purchase of these cats I later found big daddy's garage has an o2 CEL fix. It's a cat simulator that threads between the downstream o2 sensors and your exhaust. Bought 2 at 50 bucks a pop and cleared the code without issue. Still saved me money as opposed to purchasing the higher end high flow cats as it was out of m…

The vibration does not seem to be speed sensitive, no resonance. Doesn't seem to link to engine speed. Vibrates steering wheel, GPS. It's been going on for some time. Persistant... all the time. This has been making me crazy. Seemed like it ought to be simple enough... I've been working on this on & off for several months... meanwhile, I've put maybe 5000 on the car... just rolled 100,000.I had all tires rebalanced... twice. Nothing found. Problem remained. I wondered about CV joints... shop sold me new drive shafts... Vibration remains. The car needed brakes... I put all new disks, pads, drums & shoes... stops good. Still vibrates.I notice the s…

I apologize for posting this in the wrong forum but I need to get some quick feedback from anyone who might know something on an 03 Ram 1500 with a V6??My youngest Son is looking at this truck with 187K and the Owner is willing to make a good deal, but it has some engine noise which a mechanic told him was likely a rocker arm.I was planning to go look at it Friday and see for myself. My question is does anybody know if an 03 V6 would be a Roller cam engine? or flat tappet?I realize a noise like that could be any number of things, but replacing a roller cam setup is considerable more than an ordinary flat tappet if that proves to be the case.

Looking at purchasing a 2012 Dodge 1500 Big Horn model with Hemi with 65RFE transmission ~$18.5k and 50k miles. Looks in good condition. If I get serious with it , I'll take to mechanic to check. Does any one have any known issue to look at or reservation on this year/model? Giving my 1999 Dodge 24v Cummings to family member Is there a better truck for about the same cost to look at before getting serious on this truck? Thanks for your feedback ahead of time!

@Honey Badger brought her truck down. The A/C and heater blower performance was poor. So i broke out the bore scope and fed it into the evaporator to see if it was plugged with debris. I started checking the blower rotation it was wired backwards. Once I put the black to the black/tan and green to the blue/yellow it has awesome blower performance. A/C is nice and cold and blows air strong out the vents. Zero cost, no parts, just fix someone's crappy wiring.

Hey all, I was wondering if anyone has put seat covers in their trucks and what ones were good or bad? I need to put something on my seats, as the driver side seat is in pretty bad shape. Its a 99 2500 and when I bought it in 2001 the seat already had a rip on the drivers side. Well that has turned into a really bad seat tear. I want covers that fit really nice. Any ideas out there? Talk to me Goose.

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram and I replaced the slave cylinder and now it won't start. Is it safe to say that it needs to be bled. What I'm thinking is the air is causing the clutch to not engage and therefore won't start. The slave cylinder was supposed to be pre bled, but I removed the plastic clips and most likely got air. Anyone have a suggestion?

I have a 1999 Chrysler Sebring. I am getting pulse to the fuel injectors but am not getting fire to the plug wires.... Any ideas what it could be? I checked the crank sensor, it was good. The scanner is showing no current codes and no pending codes. Could it be the distributor coil? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

When I married my wife, I had the honor of meeting her Uncle and from day one, (actually within the first three hours) we had argument. Got to the point over the years we argued over almost everything. Not really arguments, but deep down discussions that would drive our wives crazy. Fact is, over the years they got to enjoy them sometimes and joined in. Became a game with us. The gentleman recently passed (age 90) and a special part of my life ended. His wife said the last time we visited that towards his end, he told her that he will miss 3 things, her, the kids and our 'discussions’. It spurred his circulatory system up to no end knowing I will always go with the opposi…

I'm shopping for new skins for the Avenger 225/55R17. 42,000 M on OEM Continentals. 1 broken belt otherwise might run them until the first snow. They don't really look much like an All Season tire but they've actually performed adequately last winter. I mostly drive easy, want good service life, good traction... live in the sticks! I'm leaning toward Cooper CS5 GT which is a 80,000 rated miles tire. Recommendations?? Avoid??
