Well this morning I woke up in Ogden, UT. What the heck? I was hired to drive a Mercedes-Benz Airstream RV from McCall ID to Colleyville TX. Yup you heard right. As I'm typing this I'm enjoying my morning coffee. Waiting for my client to show for breakfast. I might make it to New Mexico tonight but the depends on weather and wind being there is flash flood warnings, and good amount of wind this morning. I will say the Benz is quite a trip to drive. Way too much stuff on the steering wheel, two video screens I can control. Being it diesel it's it got DPF and DEF. Client is here. Catch ya.

I ordered a Valair clutch fro DAP and I just want to say if you had any question of who to go with as I did, Im here to say wow a heck of a good set up. The Fly Wheel is top notch, the clutch is a heavy well built clutch, the pressure plate is awesome. Im not here to bash anyone but if looks says anything it should be the last clutch this truck needs.

Fellow Gen2 owners. Just curious on some comments from those on this forum. I've seen similar questions posed on CF over the years. I've been looking at purchasing a Gen 4/2018+ 3500 Ram. Mostly i just need more cabin space than my 02 for the family/dogs/gear and some better creature comforts etc. I also have a truck camper so I need the leaf springs of the 1 ton and I'd like to get the Aisin transmission which comes as an option with the 3500. I've found a reasonably priced 2021 3500 close to me in the Tradesman trim. Quite a lot of truck. Am I mad here? I've poured a lot of $$ and time into my 02 over the last 4 years. I may have buyers remorse if I part with it. Jus…

I have a new toy in the garage. The wife actually found it for me, a Mac tools blasting cabinet. Nothing fancy, it's used but in good shape. Had to make a "floor" for it to set parts on above the media in the bottom. Cleaned it up a bit and drained out the old media. Filled with 16lbs of new 80 grit aluminum oxide. So far so good. I cleaned up a couple small parts I had in the garage and she works pretty good. I think I'm gonna add more media though. Seems to draw air in the siphon tube as the media doesn't run back down to the bottom of the hopper fast enough. Not sure how much it should have in it. No literature came with it so figuring it out as I go. Should be a handy…

Got a ebay message from a guy in response to my ad for American 5th wheel and TT towing service He wanted a cost to tow a bumper pull from South Ockendon near Thurrock in Kent (south east coast) to Newquay in Cornwall (south west coast) South Ockendon is 130miles from me, Newquay is 300miles from South Ockendon and then around 300 miles home So around 750 miles total give or take I'm figuring my truck would be around 15 mpg (uk gallon) on the towing 300 miles so around £170 for that bit Might get over 20 for the 450 or so miles not towing so at 20mpg that might be around £200 ish so if it cost me £370 in fuel I'd…

I helped my brother move house last week and the weekend He had 10 large fish tanks with fish which he couldn't take as he went from a 4 bed rented to a 3 bed which he bought but quite a bit smaller He swapped some tanks and fish for a 8ft tank to keep his 10 piranhas in these are seriously scarey fish which he has to keep stuffed with food like a bulls foot or they eat each other. I ended up with a 4ft tank with 4 fish (wifes since bought another 6) And a small 2 1/2ft tank with 2 small puffer fish in it that can not live with anything else Wasn't really interested at first but I have to say they are fasinating an…

Well, Mopar and I decided to do a stock up trip to Clarkston Wa...he got an amazing room with a jet tube. So, we decided Saturday was a play day lol We went shopping, not for supplies but fun shopping. Then we went to dinner at Red Lobster, ultimate feast, and all. This was at 6pm. Stuffed on seafood I introduced him to the women's candy store Ulta makeup. What a good sport !! So much fun ! He even helped me pick out new colors for eyeshadow pallets! Then we had time to kill until our movie at 9:45pm. Went and saw Thor: love and thunder. Funny movie! Well, we stayed up until 3am soaking in the jet tube and laughing until we cried. Ask him about "the cooler up my ***" rofl…

Sorry to announce, due to HoneyBager's continued heath issues, I am canceling the trip to Tennessee. While she is improving, the doctors feel such a long trip could cause a relapse. We are planning to try again next year.

So at work on Tuesday in Illinois loading up 9 Kia's to deliver in Grand Rapids Michigan on Wednesday and as I am lifting my right leg to climb on to the trailer my left knee pops! Afterwards I could barely put any weight on it. I had to have a co-worker help me finish loading. Once loaded went to the hotel in Portage Indiana and soaked in a warm tub of water, got some sleep. Knee was slightly better in the morning but not good. Delivered the load Wednesday and drove back to Toledo Ohio. Went to see the doctor. Doc says I strained something in my knee. Put me off work for 1 week. Or I can go in but on light duty only. No driving, loading or climbing of trucks, lol …

I am starting to realize I'm not the young puppy anymore. My last project was a 1996 Chevy 1500 4WD for ball joints, tie-rod ends both inner and outer, and idler arm and pitman arm. After the beating I took on this job my physical body can't do this everyday. I'm going to go back what I enjoy more, website work, phone support and working on Cummins trucks. Even that I'm going to be selective of what I'm willing to do. Not to mention all these years I was busy taking care of Mopar Mom (RIP Feb. 2020) now I'm free to do as I wish. My focus is getting my RV ready and Beast ready for a run out to Mono Village with @JAG1 and @IBMobile which have been doing this tri…

Well it's that time again for firewood. We still have a couple/ three warm months to help it season and dry so it's a good time to be thinking about getting that going. Jag1's Almanac only says it's going to be cold this winter with rain, snow wind. How perceptive!

Anyone have a source (or even manufacturer) for decent quality sealed grommets? There is a plethora of unknown-quality units on Amazon, but I'd prefer something I know is of near-OEM quality. I didn't see anything on Gardner-Denver's website, at Waytek Wire, or NAPA. McMaster-Carr has some at below link, style B, but freight from these guys (and no assortment pack available for future projects) makes me want to find another source. https://www.mcmaster.com/grommets/wet-location-snap-in-sealing-grommets/ Application is that I'm adding a backup camera license plate frame to my '05 Passat, and the license plate is mounted to the trunk lid. I need to pass a…
