Yeah once again toned out to another vehicle accident in the valley. Another accident involving excessive speed, a semi truck and a Dodge Durango. Semi truck was traveling too fast and came up on a pile of traffic slowing down because of a car turning off the highway. The Semi truck was traveling to fast to react and slow down so he veered into on coming traffic to prevent rear ending the vehicle ahead of him. So smacked a Dodge Durango head on. People in the Dodge Durango survived as far as I know they where sent off to the hospital driver life flighted and the passenger sent by ambulance. The driver of the Semi truck was shaken up but walking around. Please people slow …

In honor of our fallen heroes and family. So much has been sacrificed by so many who have served and by their families at home. Today, here in the United States, is the day we reflect upon that sacrifice. Thomas Jefferson once wrote that "freedom is fleeting." It is fleeting, and when I consider all of mans history from creation, I am blessed to be born in the United States of America. The sacrifices made by all, inspire me to attempt to live up to the standard that has been set. Let us not allow freedom to be fleeting in our generation, in honor of those who gave everything. Please feel free to contribute also.

Just did my 1st window replacement in concrete house. What a bummer. Hard to get out , harder to get back in and clearance issues with concrete aren't a lot of fun.

So two houses down, one of our neighbors is a WWII vet. I was hoping to do something special for him. MY thought was to put flyers on peoples doors on our surrounding blocks to make them aware of what kind of person is around them. If they feel they want to honor him, they stake those little wooden flags in his yard.He is definitely an old boy and unfortunately on his way out... I want to make some sort of lasting impression on him that shows that there are still people in this world that are grateful for his service! Also, how more cool is that, that a WWII vet lives two house down from me! :thumb1:As for a personal gift, we were gonna get him a flag and card from me and …

So me and war eagle set up a deal to make trades for mounting brackets for our 5th wheel hitches. We paid shipping for our own packages to the other. He had what I needed and vice versa. There had to be an aspect of trust there in order to take the others word for it that they would ship their package with no real proof. The only common ground we had was the honor system and that probably because were both on this forum, that we both must be a decent person. All I can say is that everything went according to plan and now I can get started on putting my hitch in!

Well its been a long day for me. My dog "Diesel" wound up going to the vet for a eye injury that neither Mom or I know how he got. But the lens of his eye is scuffed by a object like a stick or some thing. So he's going to be ok. Then get home and get a bunch of phone calls for A/C recharging here locally and one for a leaking VE pump. I managed to nail down the two A/C jobs and get them nearly done. But ran out of freon on the second job. So I got to finish the job tomorrow when the freon comes. Then I hook up with a friend in town to see what up. He reminds me that there is a fire meeting tonight. So off to Station 3 to pick up a fire truck and haul out to Slate Creek S…

Yet again I have been fairly absent from the forum, just making it on when I had a couple minutes down time here and there. I have been in the process of buying another casa and finally got it all worked out. My wife and I have been looking for some land for a while now and just couldn't find anything close enough to her work but far enough in the country to be country and still be able to both enjoy the house and afford to buy it. Through nothing but the grace of GOD we located this piece of property that was not even for sale and now own it and 25 acres surrounding it. I wanted to share with you guys as there are few folks that understand how things like this can ma…

I've been needing tires on my dually for awhile. When I got stuck (saturday) in the wet grass, spun, but didn't tear up the yard, I knew I had issues. Later that day, towing my 20ft enclosed down the 2-lane back roads, I was traveling about 15mph. Went to pass the bicycle while climbing a slight grade, I added throttle and spun the tires with ease.. Now, these tires (Firestone Transforce AT, 235/85-16) aren't bald, by any stretch, but they are getting close to their end of life cycle.. I decided to look for tires. My sizes were 215/85-16, 235/85-16, or 245/85-16. I searched and searched, and 6 tires seemed to average about $1000 or so, shipped. Locally,…
