I feel that it is time to start building a list of tunes that we all use.

Please learn what each tuning variable does.  There V2 tuning article covers everything in depth along with a video explaining each item.

This tool will allow you to edit Quadzilla tunes from your PC.

Update 1/15/17 V2.2 tunes should include timing maxes for various RPM's and fuel load timing

@Carbur8tr For your towing tune.

lvl's I like 6 because I don't like having to push the plus button 1000 times.  but you can set this to whatever you like

Not at this point. We are working on something that will enable measureing those as well but we don't have them in production yet. It will be some time.  -thanks again,

  • yep, most complain coming to V2 tuning because they are used to the butt dyno telling them "WOW I just touch the throttle and it jumps out of it's own skin"       what people don't consider

I dont have an adrenaline yet, unfortunately. Do you think the reading would be a static 3.3x so we could divide by 3.3x and always get a presumably accurate reading?

Edited by rogerash0

That's certainly good to know.

Just looking at new 2.7 release with boost offset, says for later trucks. Guessing that's why I'm seeing 10 psi on mechanical gauge and 6 on quad. How does this new feature work. Just put number 4 in that option?

  • Author

What does it read at idle?  That's what you want to input in the boost offset.

Which version are we suppose to be using.  I see 2.5, 2.7 and a couple of test versions?

Ive been using 2.5 I think.

Ive been using 2.5 I think.

If I'm thinking correctly then 2.7 should have them all included

At idle it's between 1 and 2, so safe to say put 2 in there?  Is it affecting mostly canbus tuning

  • Author

set boost offset to 0, see what your boost reads, then set boost offset to that amount

So which version are the lay users suppose to be using.

2.5 seems to be the only one that doesn’t have a “test” behind it.

2.7 has “test” in the title.

3.??? Says Quadzilla only.

I like the looks on the 3.?? Version that you can adjust boost (mine is off) and the mpg piece.

I also noticed today that my get are about 100f lower then my analogue gauge

  • Author

2.5 is the user profile.

The 2.7 and 3 are test profiles for ensuring a bug free release, bug free laughable.

@Me78569 I might have asked this already but does latest version include all of the other versions in it and all the bug fixes or does a guy have to load each individual version one at a time until he gets to the latest version. Say for example I just bought a quad and it has old school comp 2000 on it do I need to load 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, etc till I get to the last one or do I just load 2.7

Thanks.

Just loading the most recent flash will get you set up, unlike windows, where a fresh install needs about 500 updates, haha.

somehow I posted in the wrong tab :o excuse me

the pump gets a 0-4096 command for fueling, then decodes that into a pulse for the fueling solenoid.

that overhead you are talking about is what wiretap does.  the limit is ~%20-%25 more duration from the solenoid.

But really we are talking about reinventing the wheel here, why not just get bigger injectors?   Bigger injectors effectively increases the amount of fuel injected in the fueling pulse.

Hey, im reading about the new flash/update with the boost offset.

I have the hardfuel.exe 2.6.1 flash, is there anything else i need to update? Maybe redownload the app? Or am i good? The app version i have is iquad 1.9.39

I believe that is the most up-to-date version of the app.  So everything will work fine.  You should be good to go.

I've never messed with boost offset and my quad reads correctly in my 01.5.  I am at 6100 ft elevation however.

  • Author

2.6.1 does not have boost offset.  Beta 2.7 does.  The vehicle profile for the app is not ready yet so the boost offset is not public.  I dont know if it will be public or not.  It might be more effort than it is worth for training.

Im using version 2.4 V2 Dodge 1998-2000

Should i switch to version 2.5 V2 Dodge 1998-2002??

  • Author

Yes switch to 2.5,  that will make your tunes exportable and importable from the tune builder excel macro @Carbur8tr built
