I'll be working alone with full tank on this new to me truck I just bought. It has an in tank pump that I need change to frame mounted Raptor 150, also changing to 1/2'' draw and fuel lines. I want to tilt the bed to get at everything. Is it best to raise the driver side or raise the front like a dump bed?

 If I raise the front it looks like it might hit the cab before it goes high enough so should I tilt bed sideways instead?

I lifted my bed from the front when I put my fass on the truck. There was plenty of clearance between my bed and the cab, so you shouldn't run into any issues. When I went to tilt it, I left the two bolts by the rear bumper halfway in to hold the bed in place. 

Yep did this, a jack and a 4x4 and I lived to tell the tail

i did the driver side, 2x6 on edge, and took the tire off, plenty of room. 

Thank you both. That's what I was looking for.

I like the two bolts loosened in the rear as it guides the bed back in place to not damage anything when you lower it back down.

Nick using the 4x4 and jack... was it a floor jack you used?

So you just loosened the passenger side bolts instead to hold in place and are you saying you used the 2x6 as a lever to raise the bed? Thanks.

i took the driver side bolts all the way out, and the passenger ones just very loose, i had two 2x6's about 2 feet long, one laying flat to kinda wedge between the bed and frame, used it as a lever, then i took the other one and had it up n down, to create a 6" gap between the frame and bed,

my problem ended up being a bad wire going to my lift pump, but i serviced everything under whilst i was there.

Yep, just a run of the mill floor jack.   I did put a safety piece of wood between the bed and frame when I could are various heights

or one of these would come in handy   lol.

Aren't you gonna put a flat bed on anyway? Just remove it completely

Friend that's going to help with his loader is getting done at his place. I don't want to tie up all his time with doing the fuel system too. Plus my place has no clocks measurement of time. lol
