Works good.  I did not have to bleed injector lines. Fired right up , I just bleed air at the VP44 connect and the FP gauge before starting

 

I used a snubber fitting from Vulcan for the mechanical fuel gauge, but it didnt work, The gauge needle is bouncing 10-25 psi

 

I guess Ill have to get one off those needle valves.

 

FP guage is steady at 17-18 PSI when I accelerate though. Cruising the gauge needle  is bouncing like crazy

 

Anyone else have a snubber not work

 

 

 

Just a needle valve on mine. Bumped it open the other day when my injector line blew. That thing was bouncing back and forth 20 psi ridiculously fast. It was pretty much a blur.

Yeah mine gauge needle is spazzed , bouncing fast.  Seems like it might damage the isspro guage

It definitely will damage it. My needle valve did come from Vulcan. Ordered it when I got the big line kit. The valve is barely cracked open and it dampens the pulses from the VP well. But the seal on the valve is about shot on mine and I need to address that pretty soon.

I have a Isolator (keeps fuel out of cab) also . Id think the isolator would dampen the pulse.

Yea the isolator (I highly dislike them btw) won’t dampen the pulses and much as you’d think. Still fluid being moved in one way or another so the pressure spikes still exist. 

 

Needle valve barely cracked is what majority of us are using with success around here. You could have the snubber and needle valve combined if you were particularly concerned about pressure spikes.

Snubbers from ISSPro work awesome. No issues here.

My isolater came with my 3 guage kit 11 years ago. 

Installed it 11 years ago. and its worked great. Nothing highly to dislike

Any difference of snubbers...

1 has what looks like a airstone on buttom and another has very small hole.  

Ive got a sintered stone in my snubber.

Maybe I will shove a rock in mine. Plenty of those laying around here.

Ok?? I  had to look up sintered stone.  I'll post again after finding both and take a pic to avoid to much thread drift.

Somewhere on here is article or video about "water hammer" which is pulsating pressure.  Vp44 is culprit imo.  

Yea sometimes the snubber and the location of where you plumbed in your gauge won’t keep the water hammer down. Add a needle valve and call it a day.

These days its better just to order parts online because local supply places arent like they used to be

That's weird cuz I can go to any hardware store where I live and the stupid things are everywhere, all it is is a miniature gate valve. 

The only place I get those at is the local NAPA store.

No hardware store even sells these. The problem is the 1/8" NPT on either side. The local hardware store sell swap cooler valves which are 1/4" compression fittings on either side.
