I have an opportunity to get the bd manifold at a good price. New in the box.

Is it a worth while upgrade. I'd be be trading labor, but not sure I want it.

It does look good, will it make any power? Lower egts? Help turbo spool quicker? Bd claims it does but from researching I'm not sure. Might just be a pretty part.

Figured I'd ask you guys first because I'm torn its literally eating me up not being able to decide.

Cracked manifolds are somewhat common so at some point you, or someone you know, may have a cracked manifold. That justifies it right there!

  • Stainless are also good options, but generally a decent amount more cash.    Nothing wrong with a nice 3 piece at a good price. I ran a used 2 piece on my 05 and would again over the cost of

  • I run a 3 piece as well that came with my twins.  Changed turbos at the same time I changed manifolds so can't really say on any difference in performance.  But it spools my 62 exactly like my old hy

i dont have a BD, but i have the DPS 3 piece. bought it after the OEM cracked. it seemed to spool faster, but thats all i really noticed. either way 4 years later havent had any issues.

Not to piss on the parade, I was told one piece SS is the way to go. Can't remember why or when, maybe try researching one piece stainless versus three piece.

Stainless are also good options, but generally a decent amount more cash.

Well its mine.

No hurry to put it on though. Gota roud up gaskets and bolts hotpink high temp paint

I run a 3 piece as well that came with my twins.  Changed turbos at the same time I changed manifolds so can't really say on any difference in performance.  But it spools my 62 exactly like my old hy did.  I would advise changing to stainless studs instead of reusing the old manifold bolts...it makes the install much easier and cleaner looking.
