I've just had a vac pump seal kit and a steering pump from Rockauto, arrived in the UK in 3 days so really good service from Rock  BUT the vac pump seal kit which is a Dorman 904335 has the most useless main seal in it to the point I'm going to reuse the old one as it is better, good job I didn't remove it from its carrier,  the old one has the oil scraper lines in the seal area to move oil away from the lip, the one in the dorman kit is just  a sharp lip and some of the lip is malformed, barely see able but oil would find it. £34 and the main seal is going in the bin    Mopar kit is not a lot more... my own stupid fault

Wil sorry about that!  I wish I had known, I would have sent you to Gould gear & electric. https://www.fixinrams.com/

Their site is not the greatest, but on the phone they can help a lot and get you what you need.

Hope your rebuild goes fine!

No worries.. I tend to use Rockauto a lot as they ship really quick to the UK, I ordered Sunday afternoon and parcel arrived Wednesday morning, also there's a huge amount of companies in the USA that won't ship to the uk anyway. I needed a PS pump anyway, I'd got a ps kit from rock a month or so ago but on stripping it the drive tangs were badly worn and seal path grooved so decided to replace it

I'll see if reusing old seal leaks if so i'll get a kit from you if you can ship to uk, i'll get a pic of the seal in the kit I got. It' can be hard running a ram in the uk.... I just spent a full day locating the correct ps fluid £35 for a uk gallon. Mopar stuff here is nearly £20 a litre so didn't jump on that

Everything I read says the spec has to be mopar ps fluid I knew the spec number yesterday but I've now forgot it think it might be MS5931 and not atf 4 which is what was in the truck.

MS5931 or whatever it is is not available here from parts stores, luckily found a specialist oil Co here that ships overnight

I have run power steering fluid in mine all 508k miles. Just started leaking about 8k miles ago. Still works fine guess l will stick a reseal kit in it and see what happens.

Standard ol' power steering fluid is all I use. Typically get at NAPA or a Walmart but I'm not sure what you got over there for parts stores.

Euro box parts stores only....

Thats what I thought but the drive lugs were badly worn and seal path scored at 160k

I resealed the vac pump a few years back and all looked good then so l hope it is still that way.
