I'm able to buy the original CI-4 oil without any CJ-4 oil additives or lack of them for my 2 older diesels:thumbup2: :hyper:However, I don't like standing on a ladder holding a 5 gallon bucket over my engine with a giant funnel. It won't work. :doh:So what oil transfer pumps you guys got or use? Or better yet, what are some of the tricks you guys do with bulk containers?TIA

Get a 1 gallon jug and pour a gallon into it from the 5 gallon bucket while you are on the ground. Otherwise, I would just get a manual pump from mccmaster carr.

I use 1 gal jugs. Do you want my old ones? They are valvoline pre blue 1 gal jugs.

I also use 1 gallon windshield wiper fluid jugs for lube oils... I'm also buying bulk oil in 5 gallon buckets too.

What does 5 gal cost. I can get 1 gal for 10.00 when it is on sale. That is valvoline premium blue 15/40

Geez... CRS... I wish I could remember the last bill I paid for oils... It was 1 ATF, 1 15w-40, 1 10w-30 and 1 80w-90 for like $300 bucks...

That's about $15 a gallon. Do you mix it all together and use it for every thing?

Sounds lots smoother.I paid 68 bucks for each 5 gallon bucket at TARR OIL in Portland, Oregon.I'm going for a pump of some sort to make it easy. However, I did find rubber hose about the right size to screw onto the threads that the cap screws to, just like a gas can spout, didn't leak after that.Thanks for the tip for a transfer pump.Dripley, that oil's so good I put it in my wifes car after I'm done with it:lmao:

Heres what I call bulk oil buying, two 2500gallon tanks of Mobil oil, one 5w30 for all the gasoline powered trucks at work, and Mobil Delvac 1600 15w40 for all the diesels.
