  1. Kind of like Batteries... There is only a handful of producers so everything is just rebranded or reboxed different names.
  2. Again... Why is my 1996 Dodge 1500 with a 46re transmission still running fine and without issues of TQ converter lock up? Same alternator, same PCM software, no issues. It's about the alternator, cables and battery condition. Even I got stung on the ABS module when the alternator failed not a diode but the rear bearing and brushes.
  3. Hmmm... There is no other part supplier up here for all these tires shops. All you have is NAPA. Also I would have to ask the question of how many people are having issues from just oversized tires or lift kit issues?
  4. Down here in the hole the temperature is warmer. Low this morning at +21*F. But New Meadows proper is much much colder most likely below zero.
  5. Like I said the ones I've got now are from Rockauto.com. I would just get something from NAPA and be done. Can't tell me that all these front end shops buy high dollar parts. Heck no they just order NAPA ball joints. If they were so bad of joint places like Les Schwab would be getting complaints from constant warranty work.
  6. I was down there yesterday to Ontario, OR travel temperature ranged from -7* to +7* from New Meadows... It was cold out that for sure...
  7. Maybe so... But I paid right around $120 bucks for all 4 ball joints and still going after all this time.
  8. If those lugs are soldered on the copper wire will be sealed as well from corrosion leaking into the strands. Kind of like soldering to copper pipe joints together. Crimping works but still soldering is the best method. Then the shrink tube over the top just makes it bulletproof. klcammie would you be willing to make a write up of this? Be awesome to add to the article database.
  9. Oil pressure senders have been known to fail. P0237 is exactly what it is a lo volt code for the MAP sensor. Won't have any bearing on the transmission. http://articles.mopar1973man.com/2nd-generation-24v-dodge-cummins/59-obdii-error-codes-cummins/167-p0237-map-sensor-voltage-too-low Speed sensor in the transmission good?
  10. Dude... I couldn't even do that...
  11. My factor ball joints lasted for 180k miles.
  12. Little information to make you think. The lower joint is a actual BALL Joint with a ball on the end of the taper. The upper is not a BALL joint but a SHAFT joint. The upper has a long rod like shaft into the cup.
  13. They was a discussion about the plastics used in them too. I think Wild & Free was the one that mention it.
  14. Watch out of that spline design. There is another brand doing thing and it will limit you to buying their brand. Something about the spine and the making the OD bigger.
  15. Just doing a general hunt for those part number on the internet turns out scary results. There hardly anyone selling Dana Spicer parts. Even common place like RockAuto or NAPA doesn't even list them. Now Amazon got a few... http://www.amazon.com/Yukon-YSPBJ-016-Joint-Dodge-Differential/dp/B00EHN7KXQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451099098&sr=8-2&keywords=DANA+SPICER+708047 Obsolete part number? Maybe that's why there is so few of them on the web...
  16. Taken care of... Moved to non-powertrain. On mine I was trying to fix the A/C freon leak and found that the solder joint of one of the tubes cracked and was weeping. So while mine was out I replaced the heater core as well.
  17. Check your fuel filter drain valve. They are known to leak. It might be the o-rings are worn out too. Some people have been known to take them apart and reseal them. Depends on the version of valve.
  18. Merry Christmas to you and welcome to our family!
  19. I heard from a few different people that Moog is now manufactured in China. I've more or less given up on part name chasing.
  20. He's just the family "Dork"... Nothing wrong with eyes in the sky watching your back when anything can snap and you'll need to run to get out of the way...
  21. My next batch will be from Napa... Just plain old NAPA ball joints. My set I'm using now are RockAuto.Com but I forgot what cheap brand name I got.
  22. Glad to meet you Lance. Heck I'm 45... You are not old. Well you better come up north next time for hunting...
  23. My bad... I thought it was on like my Draw Straw which is just on port.
  24. Return line has to remain. Supply can be capped off.
