  1. Have we discussed or have an article on protecting your truck in areas that use salt on roads?
  2. Hey that's an idea. Build a garage by the county road and drive a snow machine to your vehicle. Exchange snow machine for vehicle and have a place to park it too.
  3. Mine did that, replaced starter and never again has hung up.
  4. 4000' elevation between salmon and snake rivers.
  5. Hey, speaking of winter coming...how difficult would access be in the winter west of White bird at 4000'? County gravel road goes from 1,600' up to property and then a 3 mile driveway. County plows their road periodically. Can a quad plow a 3 mile driveway or can my truck do it with a plow attachment? Just not aware of the limitations of either snow plow rig.
  6. LOL. I was going to say, taxes so low in idaho that there's no inforcement.
  7. How do you get by with 03 tags on your truck?
  8. I agree mike. Problem is that no party has the balls to address the problem. They won't even stand up to Obama over the Iran "agreement". If it's not a treaty, then the next president can throw it out as fast as its coming in. Nobody is willing to put their fingerprints on obama's policies. Afraid of being termed a racist. Case in point is the illegal immigration issue that Trump brought up. Needs to be dealt with, but people are now calling him a hater and racist. We need someone who will call a spade a spade, so to speak in all issues.
  9. Far as I know, trump ain't even taking donations. Self funded campaign. It's all about the money to everyone else.
  10. Looks like mine...no shield. I like the bracket to hold up the filter!
  11. Looking awesome! That will work. That will help the OP with his needed mod. Thanks!!!
  12. Wow, lots of stuff has passed the filter. Wondering how severe the damage is deeper in the engine? I'd second the idea of getting an OEM turbo to filter box tube/elbow and clamping it directly to the BHAF.
  13. This is why I lean towards voting for a non politician. Like our founding fathers. Didn't make carrers in government. George Washington wanted to be rememberd as a good farmer.
  14. Trump gets a lot of bad knocks, but I'm tired of all the mainstream politicians. At this point I'd support him over the rest of the herd.
  15. Guess you guys are keeping the big money secrets to yourselves.
  16. We're going to get significant rainfall this weekend here. Like 1". Maybe you'll get some too.
  17. We could make it on our current revenue stream while living off grid, but having a couple grand coming in a month would make it a lot easier. You guys have any ideas on ways to make money from home with Internet access? We could be a couple hours from a larger city. But post offices are fairly close to most areas. Portable sawmill, non emergency medical transportation, run a Mopar website? Lol. I'm not a techie.
  18. We're attempting to sell our 2 rentals to the current occupants. This will provide for monthly income without any outgoing expenses. One step towards moving to idaho. Working on downsizing possessions and doing known home repairs. Jag1 too busy to help. Will find someone though to help with rot from a leaking valley. Maybe next summer to move? We'll see how it goes. Not a fast process. Nice places from White Bird to Bonners Ferry in our price range and wish list.
  19. Glad to hear that Brutus is doing good!
  20. Until the water freezes. I think the best solution is a bigger solar panel system. 6-10kw..
  21. I've heard that the rate you sell is lower than the buy rate. Do you come out ahead or behind on an annual basis. Trying to decide between on/off grid for our idaho home. It'd be a real lifestyle change to be truly OFF GRID.
  22. Are you off grid? Or just supplementing? Can you run a freezer to store meat long term while off grid? What percentage of electric comes from solar vs water wheel?
  23. I've gotten pretty good at changing my frantz without spilling a drop of oil. Seal only needs to be replaced periodically. I got a 12'pack of Scott paper for like $6. Pretty cheap. Now with the sale of frantz I know purchasing a new system has become EXPENSIVE! I doubt I would buy one at the current cost of like $400.
  24. If the sun is right, I can see my vent mod smoking while at a stop light. Looks like michael's. I suppose that plugging the vent tube would be necessary to get a real look at blow by at the oil fill cap.
