Airdog quality
And pumpers use that very same valve to dampen gauge pulses.

anti-gel
Ran a D-8 years ago with a pony motor and cable blade. Fired pretty well but we don't normally get much colder than high teens and that's not too often.

Disassembled A Bosch Vp44 Injection Pump
But it will crack as seen in the above photo. Just as the one I was shown last year at the Logging Conference in Eugene, OR.

Start up after long term storage or fresh rebuild first start
Turbo is first thing to get oil. This from my cuz, former service manager at Portland Freightliner.

Chasing minor leaks
Same thing I used and no instructions but it's about as easy as there is. I had more trouble getting the PS hoses off than anything else. Rest was pretty self explanatory.

Oil smoke
Bigger diesels do exactly that when you run past a change oil time that particular engine likes. I drove a 475 Cat part time for almost 4 years and I could always tell when it was time as it would start using about a gallon of oil every couple weeks. I normally almost never had to put any in. My brothers Mack does the same thing.

Gauge Time ISSPro EV2's
If you do talk to Eric please tell him hi for me and that if I can ever find time I will stop by. Much too busy with life to do some things I used to do much more frequently than I can now.

Gauge Time ISSPro EV2's
I know Eric personally and I suspect you already know he is a real straight shooter. If he says they have been good he is giving good info. You could call Isspro also. They are within striking distance from me and one of the times I was there I walked in a side door as one of the employees walked by. They don't deal with retail although they have been very good to me just as a walk in. The "employee" did not hesitate to help me and treated me very, very well. Turns out he was president/CEO of Isspro. I felt that said a lot of them as a company particularly since I had no idea who he was until he invited me to his office. Even then I only found out when I asked what his position was.

EGT Probe alternate locations
I have been around class 8 trucks most of my life and while driving was not my career I have done it part time since I was a teen and full time for about 4 years in my early 20's. Virtually EVERY class 8 rig I have been around (lots of them) for at least the last 25 years have a pyro that is post turbo and if not it is drilled for the probe post turbo and plugged instead. And those are Cat, Cummins and Mack engines. Don't remember on the series 60's. I also read an article by Cummins addressing the placement. Their tests indicated a solid 300* difference post and pre. This would have been stock engines but you have to think about why the factory would now put virtually all the probes that I have seen in the post position. And yes I know of more than one probe over the years killing an engine when before the turbo. Take it for what it's worth.

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Musta been sumptin' somebody said.
-
Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
LOL. Exact same story I got too. Except I was in an 8V71 series. At least some of the 8V92's ran pretty well but not the 6v's.

Automatic Trans torque converter lock up controller?
Just run it like it's a 318 Jimmy. Some newer engine don't wind much above 1,500. I don't care for those.

Air Starter On A 24 Valve
Not sure why anyone would really want one. I had never been around one but got a KW to run one day with an air starter. Needed a new pair of shorts after hitting the starter the first time. Louder than I care to have by far plus what do you do when you run out of air??? Not like there might be someone to pump it up for ya like with a big rig.

Rebuilding Track Bar And Tie Rod Ends
I have had s lukes Link on my trackbar for 3 or maybe 4 years. I checked it probably a year ago thinking it would need tightened and did try to snug it up. I don't think I got even one notch. Was still good and tight and appeared fine shape. Rig drives good too. JMHE.

Death Wobble
- Scan gauge purchase
I think Auto Zone wil give a discount to military and former military.- KDP
I have posted this before. NO rig through '02 is exempt. Dave Conrad's (Fishin2deep4U) Dad lost one in his '02. Dave posted the repair bill on another forum after it was repaired. Only way to tell for sure is pull the cover and physically look. Less chance of it on newer ones but still the chance.- New revised MPG/High idle switch design
That's the most I have lost too. Not even close to 6 MPG. Using the hot start it is much closer to 1 MPG.- Going to kill the KDP soon - advice
May very well be, but what if yours were the second one??? Not worth waiting to find out IMHO. I had to do my vacuum pump seal and clean the radiator fins so pulled the cover also. Mine is apparently the updated one that is stepped but I tabbed it anyway since it looked like it could still back out and I was already there.- Going to kill the KDP soon - advice
Dave Conrad (Fishin2Deep4U) posted the bill for repair on another forum when it fell out on his Dad's '02 so it certainly can happen although I am sure less so the later the rig.- You can't cure stupid RV owners...
The really scarey part is they actually live and walk among us.- Vacuum pump - Rebuild time!
Cummins NW on Swan Island (PDX) had it right there. Not too far from me so I just stopped when I was near but in your case i would call ahead. I used to live in the OR coast range and was at least an hour to anywhere so I understand your situation. :banghead:- Centrifuge Filters
I picked up a 3894 @ a KW dealer a couple weeks ago. They were out of them when I stopped a couple weeks before. I have gotten them from Freightliner and a Ford dealer also.- Vacuum pump - Rebuild time!
Same thing I did and I'm not even sure I paid that much. - Scan gauge purchase
