Slincer Ring Removal
When I did mine I got it out easy with a couple small screwdrivers, but if I remember right my brothers was a little more of a pain. His snap ring had some corrosion keeping it in.

2005 48re O/D lockout switch
Ok so I checked the wire this morning. It was pin #7 and the wire was yellow with a light blue stripe. The wire could be a different color on your year. The numbers are on the inside of the round plug when you take it off. Like I said just tie into that #7 wire and put a 33 ohm resistor in your wire from the switch to ground and you will have yourself a manual torque converter lock up switch.

2005 48re O/D lockout switch
I did it on mine but I dont remember the color of the wire and it is probally different between the years. The plug on the transmission is numbered so you wont have to do any counting. All you should have to do is tap into the #7 pin and run it to your switch. Then so that is doesnt throw codes I wired a 33 ohm resistor into the wire that goes to the ground. Hope that helps.

It has four gears and the fifth is the OD kicking in around 50mph. It sounds like your governor pressure went out.

Oil Leak from vent tube connection
I read something once that on 06-07s they do have a crankcase vent filter, but you have to buy the whole valve cover to replace the filter.

My brothers 03 rarely chirps either, I guess il look in to the belt its the cheaper of the two.
-
6.7 Harmonic Damper on a 5.9
unfortunatly I dont. I was just wondering because I thought I read something one time that excessive chirping could be from that being bad. Mine chirps loud almost every time I shut it down.
