Thoughts on Edge EZ vs Superchips Flashpaq vs Other Econo Tuners
It all depends on how you drive and how much power you use. If you like the power and put your foot to the floor a lot it might last a week or two. If you drive aware of your weak trans it could last a long time. I recommend that you don't hook up the wiretap until you get the trans built. 24V rule of thumb (for me anyways): 1 fuel pressure gauge 2 Lift pump 3 clutch/ transmission 4 some fuel 5 bigger turbo 6 more fuel

fuel economy trouble shoot flow chart
Hmmmmm basics: Good bearings (Through whole drivetrain) Full of oil (Whole drivetrain) brakes not dragging, emergency brake not dragging, light foot, some sort of timing box or programmer, good, clean fuel (No air sucking and good filters) correct speed for your vehicle (Mine happens to be 65) 2 stroke never hurts..... If I can think of more I'll edit.

Fuel Pressure spread
Welcome! I personally like the fass sump with the straw coming out the top, but it is pretty pricey. You're fuel drop is because of the small lines. I have the stock line between the fuel filter and the injection pump and can pull it down 10psi. When funds are there I will make some changes.

Scan gauge II question
Nope... Only code is for the smarty. My boost is also way off haha I think it starts out at 24 or 28 psi

Scan gauge II question
Another question.... Sometimes mine "decides" not to read the Water temps. Is anyone else experiencing this? Seems as if I plug and unplug it like 10 times (Letting it get to the gauges each time) it will work, but tonight it just went blank and I couldn't get it to come back on. My instrument cluster was still showing 190 though.

Throttle Stab
Greeeaaaaat. That just confirms my suspicions. I'll just sit here and wonder...... What could it be Weird though today it only did it half as bad... That is the normal miss and a throttle stab.

Throttle Stab
Yes I know it's not the best for it. I'm still trying to figure this missing issue out though so anything I can do to diagnose..... Yes I have turned all programmers off and I still get the same thing happening. Thanks for the replies.

Throttle Stab
Should, yes but is that what yours does? Like I'll stab it and hold only till 2500rpm and let off, but it kinda sputters and shakes a bit as it revs up. Not smooth at all. Wondering if this is part of my "issue" or if it's normal.

Throttle Stab
What do your guys's trucks do when you stab the throttle from idle? Yes I know I shouldn't do this but I'm wondering if what mine is doing is normal. Does yours just ramp up without any sort of hickup??

Thoughts on Edge EZ vs Superchips Flashpaq vs Other Econo Tuners
Best to call edge; they have great customer service. Personally I would get separate gauges and go with an edge comp.

ECM controlled lift pump
Oh wow... I like the way mine is hooked up better. The ecm only has to provide enough power to keep the relay closed!
-
ECM controlled lift pump
My ecm triggers a relay, which is hooked straight to the battery. Then the power travels down to the pump. Are you guys saying your ecm powers your pumps?
-
ECM controlled lift pump
ECM is just an on/off trigger. The fuel lab changes the speed of the motor based on what you want. I think cumminsdog over on CF hooked his up to run at a higher speed when the throttle is greater than 50%

ECM controlled lift pump
Fuel Lab doesn't play well with our ECM

Alternator Diodes
With all of the talk about alternating current causing electrical damage has anyone researched or tried to purchase the diodes for the alternator and rebuild it themselves?

Thoughts on Edge EZ vs Superchips Flashpaq vs Other Econo Tuners
Weird... on the interstate with a combined 65 for 30 miles 75 for 70 miles and 60 for 20 miles I can net over 23. My truck does not like 60 mph though as that's right at 1500 rpm and I don't want to stress the 5th gear nut anymore than I have to!

Blue Chip Diesel FMS Box?
The "12v" style (94-98) didn't have problems that I was aware of??? Now the 02 I am very surprised!!

Fuel Gelling with 2-stroke oil
I'm jealous of all of your fuel stations.... I can't find a manager here at a station that knows what the heck is going on with their fuel. All I get is "The tankers come and dump it in. We don't do anything to it that I know of."

All 2nd gen truck pictures
Maybe because the 12Vs are kinda quiet?? (Relatively speaking of course) The 24s are just loud haha!
