  1. That's the exact setup I have (Minus the auto trans) You won't be disappointed!
  2. Pull the relay for the alternator and take it for a drive. That's the only real way to tell if the alternator is the cause.
  3. Glad to hear it! Mind me asking whose injectors and what power? Also what turbo did you buy with the injectors?
  4. If you don't know anything about them I bet they'll be pretty hard to sell. I personally would send them in as a core.
  5. Thank you for the suggestion! But I have already done it.... No change when hotwired.
  6. I did both at the same time. If you have any questions let me know!
  7. Whew that's a bit long winded haha I believe you are correct with the only adjustment to the steering being those two points. The axle can also be adjusted to twist the axle underneath using the lower control arm. I have read where tilting the pinion side down has helped with road wander, but I cannot attest to whether that is true or not. I believe KATOOM was in on the conversation so you might PM him. I think your toe in was about right, (1/4inch in) but again I'm not certain. Hopefully some others will join in.
  8. Might have to buy Nick a couple beers to let me listen to his I wish there was something high quality enough to capture the sound! I know your's sounds like a champ! Just can't quite afford the drive
  9. Tested for air in the lines today. I put about 2 ft of clear line between the IP and the fuel filter. Zero air while running. I even took it around the block and came back. There aren't any bubbles. Interesting though... this miss seemed to have decreased a bit lately, but I was pulling a trailer up a hill in 5th at 50 mph and let the exhaust temps sit right at 1200 for 20 seconds or so, and now it seems to have gone back to a little bit worse. I really think I need to listen to another good running 24V to make sure I'm not just paranoid....
  10. Did the new exhaust replace the cast elbow that comes off the back of the turbo? If not, then getting one that would replace that elbow would be best.
  11. He said the scangauge is reading 190, so that would mean something is wrong with the wiring to the gauge in the dash, or the gauge in the dash is bad.
  12. Too cold to test today... 25deg with snow coming down.... Maybe tomorrow!
  13. If that is the case... WHY would that happen? I guess I could send in an oil sample to see if there is any extra metal in the oil.
  14. I have not had a chance. 20 degree weather and a cold engine aren't fun to work on. It should be around 40 tomorrow, so I'll test for air in the lines then and turn the engine over while watching the valve train. Thanks for the ideas guys!
  15. His is probably running out of fuel inside the pump and the pump is trying to pull it's own. That's great you have one! Now see if you can turn the pressure up on yours so that it never drops below 14lbs. That is the pressure that the overflow valve opens at. If you have good fuel return, then the computer on the top of the pump will stay cool.
  16. The only in-tank pump that I know of is the dodge replacement (If I'm wrong someone please correct me). The Dodge replacement does NOT flow enough fuel to keep the vp44 happy. Your friend will likely eat another pump if he does not get a good fuel system ASAP. Another question... Do you or your friend have fuel pressure gauges in the cab?
  17. Directly from Industrial Injection! Make sure you and your friend both have a good Lift Pump (Fass 150 preferably or mechanical system)
  18. Long frustrating weekend, but I got the truck back up here at school. I also grabbed a couple feet of clear line to see if there is any air in the lines. Sorry ED I guess he just didn't have the touch!!
  19. You can switch while it is running. Just don't do it super slow. The 0500 CAN NOT be from idling. It is usually caused by spinning the tires.
  20. I have never heard of a code just from high idling.....
  21. Sorry guys I'll be heading home asap to hook up a clear line. My dad said it sounded good but I don't know if he hears that well!
  22. The pump was put back on today, and when my dad attempted to tighten the banjo that goes into the bottom of the fuel filter he said it snapped off with less than finger tight pressure. I don't think this could have caused the issue as there wasn't any fuel leaking out and I did not have hard start issues but maybe???
  23. The pause before the light comes on has me a bit concerned. I would start searching for an ECM as yours is not booting as fast as it should.
  24. Ouch..... Sounds like you may have gotten some bad fuel
