  1. Nick is correct. "RaceMe Ultra and MM3" are literally a Smarty Touch with delete software. They're made in Europe and sold from Europe or Canada. MM3 is the same as the RaceMe, but it doesn't have pre-loaded tunes in it.
  2. Not quite yet.... I'm going to have the dealer fix the nasty oil pan leak, then she'll get deleted. It's been drinking DEF like crazy, so that's my excuse. I'll be using WARP tuning written by me to delete it and optimize the stock tune for better mileage.
  3. Yeah, it sucked. Luckily there was only minor cosmetic damage and was found by the police 2 weeks later. I was running an S&B. I do know they don't do anything for gains, but it sure looked pretty!
  4. Little update. Found a boot starting to tear. I had to swap back to a stock intake horn to get the hood to fit without "Hammer Modification" The truck is now sitting at the body shop getting all of the hail damage and damage from being stolen fixed. This includes a new hood - thus the reason for the stock intake horn.
  5. That means you can give me my boot back!
  6. Oh I know - I hurt the paint on my 2nd gen with tires that weren't tucked. Lesson learned! No..... It all depends on how the wheel is setup. There's wheels with +24 offset that'll sit inside the steel fenders - which would be WAY inside the factory flares. Don't bring your jealousy out on the forum young padawan
  7. Thinking about a set of wheels for the new pig. These are 20x10 with a -19 offset. I'm thinking 20x9 with a 0 or +1 offset as I want the wheels tucked (I like my paint!) If anyone has some suggestions post them up. @trreed thinks the ones I like suck, so let's see what you guys like!
  8. So I'll give a little info on the fuel system before I send some pictures: Suction: I've got 1/2in line running from the vulcan module to a 100mic 1/2in pre filter. That hose runs up to the front of the truck and into the pump. Pressure: On the pressure side the fuel runs out of the pump back near the tank (where the filters are mounted) and into the filters. I couldn't find another place to mount the filter, so lots of fuel line! From the filters, the fuel runs back up the frame rail to dual feed for the p7100. On the return side, it comes out of the injection pump (3/8 line) into a Fuel Lab 525 series pressure regulator that's set at 44psi at idle. I managed to get rid of the T fitting that hangs out at the back of the block. I replaced the line on the back of the block with a metal to rubber connection (again 3/8) and ran the regulator / injector return into a 3/8 JIC T fitting (no more leaks there!!!) It then runs from that T back to the tank. Tons of fuel line, but pressures are very stable! As long as it seals up, I'll be satisfied. Hopefully I'll fill it today and find out. Nothing there, but Summit has some. Not cheap! https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-718013erl That's because it would need to be a -12AN Male to hose barb https://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-670330 Thanks for finding that!
  9. I'll see what the local dealer says this week. I still don't like it, but I guess it's cheaper and I need the time to finish the 2nd gen. Compared to the 2nd gen that's pretty bad haha. I bet it would have gotten 15-16 considering it got 12mpg grossing 27K.
  10. Just the thought of some monkey under there messing with stuff bothers me. Will they break or bend something and not tell / fix it? Will they put the gasket in right? Will they just fill it with silicone and give it back? If I do it myself at least I'll know it's done right! BTW the new pan gaskets are 4 piece, so it can be replace without pulling the whole pan / pickup tube out.
  11. Making some headway on the fuel system. I bought a modified fuel module from Vulcan Performance - It seemed very high quality and went together well. I'll know it's all good when I fill it up, but for now it sucks fuel when there's only a gallon or so in the tank. I've setup a pressure regulated return right after the injection pump using a Fuel Lab 525 regulator. Pricey, but seems to work well thus far. The pump is mechanical - that's all I'm going to say about it. I'll get some pictures up eventually. I hope I won't be fighting breathers again, but it could be coming. Does anyone know a place to buy a 180 degree 3/4in hose union? Might need one.
  12. Nothing fun haha. The oil pan gasket is starting to leak worse. I'm trying to decide if I want to let the dealer fix it, or do it myself. I have problems allowing people to work on my crap
  13. In my experience, there's a pretty fine line between too much fuel and not enough fuel. When I had a VP and large injectors the truck would buck and knock blowing smoke everywhere until it hit 800rpms and was no longer calling for Chit loads of fuel. Now with a Ppump, I have to hit the throttle when it's cold to make it start (Otherwise it just turns over and no smoke out the pipe) - BUT I can't give it too much or it won't even try to fire (just blows smoke) Sounds like you're on the low side of fuel given the lack of smoke. Everything's too cold to get enough pressure built to fire the injectors.
  14. Does it blow smoke out the pipe while cranking?
  15. Did you forget to add something?? I'll look at the RaceMe files tonight and see if it can be changed. It might not be in UDC Pro if it's an "emissions thing"
  16. I'll have to take a looksie when I get home. For some reason I remember it, but I have been playing with 3rd gens too so I might be confusing them.
  17. You can see how long the grids will stay on at what temperature in UDC Pro for the 2nd gens (IIRC) I wonder what the 4th gens are? It was 7F this morning and my 4th gen didn't keep the grids on for more than 5 seconds. Made it start a bit rough before smoothing out. Maybe this will be my excuse for getting a RaceMe and tuning it Exactly what mine does even without the VP44.
  18. No, it means you have a crappy intake horn
  19. Interesting topic! I think my skid steer is down on compression a bit on one of the cylinders. I could throw this in and see if it makes a difference I guess. I don't have a way to compression test it, but you'd be able to tell by the blowby whether it helped or not. Then we'd have some results from this forum.
  20. I'd guess it's because you're greasing from the bottom up. That pushes any metal from the bottom up around the sensor. I still grease mine heavily as I have one bearing puking grease. They're still tight as can be though. We did one of @trreeds a couple weeks ago and put 42 pumps of grease into it (It was very dry). He's then went to Minnesota and back without an issue. It's all about the metal.
  21. It's the 2019 industrial equipment that will be EGR free (Stage V) Whether this stuff will make it to the US or not, I'm not sure.
  22. What I've seen so far from Cummins is the industrial applications not having an EGR. The "aftertreatment" system is HUGE though, and I don't think they could fit it under a pickup. Maybe a big truck, but even then it looks big. I don't see it coming for us yet.
  23. I'm not complaining too much - once the emissions disappears it should improve some. I filled up twice today. 350 miles of 50/50 city highway turned out to be 16 on the dot, and 190 miles of 90% highway running 80mph+ turned out to be 18 on the dot. Not too shabby unloaded! Need to go buy DEF for it though. Ugh
  24. So real MPG isn't good towing. 30ft gooseneck weighing 7K on the way up and 11 or 12K on the way back. 250 miles and a whopping 11.49mpg. I'm going to fill up tomorrow with 350 miles of 50 - 50 city and highway. The dash says 16.5, so it's probably somewhere around there. Also had a little issue with the tires not being balanced,so I popped the beads and put in some balancing beads.
