removing fuel sending unit
It shouldn't if you have decent batteries. The lift pumps really don't draw very much power.

3 hours to pull the bed when you can have the tank on the ground in under 30 min??? I don't understand it but I guess if it works for you that's what matters.

I can tell you guys don't have a lot of stuff running through your beds.... My vote is to drop the tank like Mike said. I have a full wiring loom for a gooseneck running up through the bed, 2 safety chain brackets bolted through the bed and into the hitch, and the slider arm for the turnover ball requires me to pull the inner fender or bend the rod straight and unbolt everything. If I didn't have any of that stuff I would probably pull the bed though.

Lift pump fail
And another airdog bites the dust.... Hopefully they'll take care of you!

p7100 conversion
True! But timing gives those few extra MPG that static timing just can't. The dynamic timing also helps to spool the turbo(s) faster.
-
p7100 conversion
Dynamic timing is more efficient... there's no way to argue against that.

p7100 conversion
^^ That would do it for me. I would definitely swap it! It will be a much easier install than with all of the electronics.

p7100 conversion
My question is why do you want to? If you have a good running motor why change? If you want performance a VP will get you over 600. If you have a good lift pump they are reliable too. On the other hand if you're dropping it into something else it's a lot easier to not have everything running off of sensors!

Miss at all RPMs
Little update here: I'm starting to get a bit of blue smoke when idling and high idling. Even when the engine was up to 145deg it still had a decent haze coming out of the tail pipe. I haven't noticed any consumption on the dipstick though. Maybe this is related, maybe it's not. I'm also noticing that warmer ambient temps seem to make it worse, along with switching to 6cyl mode when idling. I'm not sure if that's related to timing or?? I'm getting pretty ancy wanting to pull the motor! 4 weeks and it should be coming out.

Pyprometer gauge hook up
Normally, yes a bare wire is made for ground.

Good work Mike! BTW I see the music you are listening to up in the corner

synchronizers
Holy prices! Quad thinks those syncros are made out of gold! I'll be looking elsewhere for now. I'm still on a college budget.

synchronizers
I'm going to try and start gathering parts for my tear down, and would like to replace all of my synchronizers while I'm in there. 3rd and 4th gear are getting pretty tired. Does anyone know any good places to source these parts? I don't want anything cheap that will go out in a year. Thanks!

overflowing power steering fluid
Mine did this too.... I think I overfilled it a bit though. It's amazing just how much the fluid expands when it's hot. I'd wash it, don't add any and see what it looks like after another drive.

Serpintine belt
Is there a price difference? If not go with the heavy duty, if there is I'd just go with the regular. They rarely fail anyway.

Thoughts on Edge EZ vs Superchips Flashpaq vs Other Econo Tuners
Are you throwing an overboosting code? If it ran well up there I say leave it alone until you have a chance to order a boost fooler. If you aren't getting any codes don't worry about it!

Weird Water Temp Readings
The bed and topper are getting painted, and my paint guy takes his time. So while he has those parts I'm going to pull the engine and figure out what the heck the knocking sound is. Then I'll clean up the bay with paint, paint the engine, reseal the engine, wrap the wires in all new plastic, and stuff it back in the hole. If money permits it might be getting a new cam as well

Weird Water Temp Readings
Well I think the thermostat is shot... Went and picked up the sleds today and it keeps running up to 198-200 on the small hills.

Alternaror noise test article
No No This isn't an issue dodge foresaw, so it won't be in the manual. You only remove the fuse to see if that is the reason for torque converter lock/unlock issues. It's really easy to do. Get a high quality meter, set it to V~ or Vac (Whichever your meter has.) Then start the truck and put a lead on each of the driver side battery posts.

vp44 and hy35 questions
Mike, the change is so small you can interchange them without throwing the timing off. It has been done successfully many times.

vp44 and hy35 questions
If it's the correct keyway, tap it in with a brass hammer. If it's the incorrect keyway you are going to have to remove the keyway from the old pump and install it into the new one
-
vp44 and hy35 questions
Sounds like it's just half way out. Try using a brass hammer to gently tap it into the VP shaft. If the previous owner just stuck the wrong key in it you should use the one from the pump you removed. Don't retrofit the key way. It could throw the timing off

MAP sensor
I've got one... It has read 4psi less than the mechanical, and still is so I think I'm good for now
-
Alternaror noise test article
Borrowed a fluke meter from a friend. Mike?

MAP sensor
Magic it was today... Back to 0psi and went all the way up to 43, then back to zero. Hopefully it was just a flule
