  1. The do look a bit close... I had the same size installed that was on before...I guess because they took so long on the alignment and I was going to be late for teaching a class I didn't notice before I pulled out the shop... I will make sure I double check the pressure in the morning. They said they are filled with nitrous...
  2. Yabba got new shoes today Went with the Firestone TransForce HT Only took 3 tries to get the steering wheel straight... And then got a bath when we got home... Should be good for a few years Next project, Injectors
  3. I know that one Rancher... My 1500 is a regular cab and Yabba is the club cab and it can be tempting to put more crap behind the seat... I have been pretty good about not piling too much crap back there though I just have my tools,2 stroke oil, jumper cables, tow rope and a dog bed for my dogs Granted there is only enough room for 1 of my oversized beastie's at a time
  4. Then I got real lucky getting YabbaDoo
  5. Well, Yabba has 2 Firestone TransForce on the front and Hankook on the back. The TransForce seem to be wearing pretty well, better then the Hankook's. I would order some online however the places around here charge an arm and a leg for mount and balance and on top of that they charge for the valve stem's and balance weights So, I may as well go for what they have in stock.. I might be leaning towards the Firestone TransForce unless I can find some place that can do the Khumo road ventures for less... I have those on Scooby and they have been on there for 3 years and still look brand new!!
  6. Hey Mike, How many miles have you put on them so far, and how many do you think they will last? Never heard of them before and not sure they have them in my area either..
  7. I am looking at the HT (Highway Tread) Looking at the reviews on line as well though
  8. I am looking at the Firestone TransForce HT and the Goodyear Wrangler HT 235/85/16 Both about $950 out the door... Opinions please

  13. It is a really good neighborhood!! My buddy Lloyd used to be my neighbor about 9 years ago but he and his girlfriend moved up closer to Brooksville... A lot of people in the neighborhood and other places local had storm damage as well. The neighbor next door lost 2 big trees, the one across the street lost the big limbs, my friend around the corner lost a tree and a lot of limbs off other trees in her yard as well. But as far as I know, no major damage and for that we are all thankful!!!
  14. Think we had a little wind last night... Came home last night from spending the afternoon with friends, turned around the corner and saw the majority of the fence was on the ground Dogs were Very good though, as always stayed in the yard ... It was minor damage compared to others and I am very grateful Called the landlord and he promptly brought over 4x4's and helped me put up the first 2 20' sections but then he had to split. So while waiting for one of my bestest buddies "Floyd Lloyd Manual Labor" (as I like to call him) , I dropped most of the 4x4's and saw that my neighbor had large limb across her driveway, So, since I already had my chain saw out I decided I would chop it up and stack it off to the side for her so she could drive in her carport when she got home attachment=5223:SAM_2098.JPG] And after a long day it was Beer 30

  18. Not sure why the video makes it so loud... You can hardly hear her running (must be too used to hearing the diesel) when standing right next to her...lol
  19. Well, I got Bleu up and running again I started her up and let her run for an hour then changed the oil and filter. Took her out a couple of times today on errands and all seems well and good... When I took the video she was running a bit off due to the wires (of only 1 yr old) were lighting up like a Christmas tree (checked late last night after dark). Changed the wires this morning and she seems to be running like a top https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKWvCFO5Sww&feature=youtu.be
  20. Good!! I was hoping they were done already... My next project now that I have Bleu up and running are 40 HP injectors for Yabba!!! as well as a much needed valve seat adjustment... Not sure which will have the winning straw for the VA trip in July On one hand I love the way Bleu goes across country but also Love my Yabba Doo and he can serve as a camper as well!! Decisions, decisions...
  21. Question...Because a curious Blonde wants to know... My truck came with an exhaust brake, D-Celerator by US Gear (not sure, but I think it was done not too long after the truck was new judging by the model of exhaust brake and calling US Gear, they said it was from the late 90's) Does that mean the exhaust springs have been upgraded most likely? The guy I bought the truck from said it was on the truck when he bought it... He used it to haul a 5 car hauler for business. I did use the exhaust brake to test it out empty on my Oct trip to VA last year and it seemed to work fine..
  22. I wish it was only 3 steps More like 5!!!! 37-ft-lb, 45-ft-lb,51-ft-lb, 59-ft-lb in sequence...Then in sequence loosen each bolt and retighten to 11-18 ft-lb then tighten bolts an additional 85-105 degrees for long bolts and 65-85 degrees for short bolts... PITA
