  1. just so we are all on the same page, when you say it cranked vs not cranked are you saying that sometimes the starter spins the motor over ( cranking) and sometimes when you hit the ignition the engine does not turn over at all? Or are you saying that it always cranks over when you hit the ignition but sometimes it starts and sometimes it doesn't?
  2. I dont have the ide installed anymore to edit the base code.

  4. Enable high idle in the app and turn it to level 0
  5. Id do the sxe. The hx turbo was designed 20+ years ago.
  6. light throttle limit is the variable that tells the quad when it should be using mpg timing or towing timing. at %30 it means that when load at under %30 you get mpg timing ( base timing + light throttle timing) but if load increases above %30 then you get performance timing. That light throttle limit should be ~%5 above your typical cruise load. you want the quad to jump out of mpg timing if you encounter a hill or something. or if you push the pedal down to pass.
  7. generic rule of thumb is to keep timing in the 19-20* range for cruise timing. 70-75 mph is going to suck fuel though. this is generically a good starting place for timing. Fuel Load Timing: 2 Low PSI Timing Reduct: 2 Timing Reduct Scaling: 100 Light Throttle Timing Adv:2 Light Throttle Timing Load Limit: 30 Timing vs rpm 1500: 16 2000: 18 2500: 25 3000: 28 Timing Max: 30
  8. your sure you are on level 3? What are your backdowns / defuels set to ? the yellow bar happens when a backdown is triggered. Have you run throught the install directions to verify you have it connected correctly still?
  9. The turbo prob runs out of its map at or around 35 psi.
  10. If you arent spinning high rpms and dont have an exhaust brake then no valvetrain stuff is needed. The 62 can flow enough air to get into the area of springs being a good idea, but again not really %100 needed.
  11. both turbos will do the job, would you prefer faster spool at the cost of 100 hp worth of air or do you want that extra air with a little slower spooling turbo?
  12. I thought I saw one for tps, guess not. maybe I was looking at my 2018 stuff... oh well. Anyways I dont understand how software can cause a p0121 code. Maybe if the tuner didn't know that there was a ~12* base timing amount they might be too agreesive and cause bucking, but I would expect it before 2k if they didn't know about hte base table. None of the piggy back systems tap the apps wiring. they read apps from the data sent over the bus. In theory no tuner or programmer should set an apps code.
  13. I haven't had a 2nd gen for a bit now, I was just using an old cell phone.
  14. I can't speak to that. It is nearly impossible to say without input from the tuner as to why the bucking is happening.
  15. There is a table in UDC programming that you can set the voltage to TPS input conversion. I am wondering if maybe the tuner messed with the table and maybe now the app's say it is inputting TPS, but hte ecm doesn't see that in the table. that 121 code is typically where the apps says it is not idle, but the IVS in the apps says it is, or something along those lines.
  16. doubt it if it doesn't happen without the flash.
  17. @AH64ID I remember there being a App's input table that specifies the voltage range to % tps input. I wonder if messing with that table might cause the code to occur?
  18. very strange. I wouldn't think an ecm flash could cause a p0121 code. One for the books.
  19. yea that would be my choice lol. but you loose ~100 hp worth of air with the 57 vs 62
  20. @dieselautopower would you say ~200 rpm spool difference ~100 rpm?
  21. I prefer vco for no reason other than "factory did it that way".
