basic relay wiring
hope this is the correct forum to post/ im looking for a basic wiring diagram to install 2 gm 5 pin relays to a single 3 position switch i want to wire a small winch to work on a single switch in/out the problem is i dont know how to wire the relays to provide both power and ground to a single pole on the winch. i know it can be done i just have not figured out how. if anybody understands this concept could you post a simple wiring diagram with pinouts of the relay and switch. i will greatly appreciate any info on this subject. thank you, koyote.

i personally wouldnt trust a wiring harness from no one but the dodge dealer, or cummins if available but i doubt it

Start Up Issue
if the contacts are bad and you got a second set of hands, hook a test light to the signal wire down at the starter (the small one) make sure the batteries are good and hot and start firing the engine if you engage the starter with the key and it fails to start but the test light is on then off with the starter to repair its an internal problem, if you engage the starter with the key and it fails to start but the test light is off then the problem is in the truck itself i.e. starter relay, ignition switch, even old car alarm. easy to isolate good luck

Boost gauge tubing
ive never had a real provlem with the clear line for a boost gauge although ive had it leak at the fittings on oil pressure, the only real alternative i know of is braided steel line 1/8in. but youll have to swap out all the fittings on the manifold and gauge with a/n fittings like earls or aeroquip and this is not cheap!!! maybe somebody else has a more economical solution

ive never changed the harness on a dodge but i have replaced the engine harness on a isb cummins in a motor home and a couple freightliner chassis its not a real big deal if its a new oem harness, single harness plug and play the only difficult plug was the cam sensor behind the vp-44. good luck with it.

turbo help
when the exhaust impeller spins off instead of cool black smoke out the exhaust pipe you get uncool black oil out your exhaust pipe. bad idea unless your 007 in a austin martin.

starting hard
i dont know how or why but after i installed my timbo apps i had the exact same problem. i would hit my remote start and it would spin excessivley before firing but as time went by it corrected itself and during this time i searched for fuel leaks, sucking air into fuel system, and fuel pressure. never found a problem

firewood splitting...
the p90 is such a cool firearm my grandfather has one and will not give it up, i carry a s&w 9mm in the truck, you have to have a conciled wepon permit in mississippi but its cool they put little red pistols all over your drivers licence face and when the cops pull you over and see it they get all jittery and call for back up. i like being feared by the law

firewood splitting...
this is cool i never thought i would be learning basic lumberjack measurments on the diesel site, but any new knowledge is good knowledge.

Left me stranded today
i agree, throw a new pump at it and she will fly like a new truck.

firewood splitting...
do you own a pottery kiln or somethin, ive never really seen a use for that much wood before, the investment for central heat mght be a little steep at first but it will pay for itself in the lack of chiropractor bills.

Red Dye Fuel
that sounds like it could be a expensive conversation:lol: we have put auxillary fuel feed pumps on the auxillary fuel tank in the bed it does get a small amount of fuel transfer from tank to tank but not enough to really be noticed used a tank tranfer valve off a ford with factory dual tanks 94 model i think but easy to set up then u can get sticked and run the red:thumbup2: --- Update to the previous post... oh and fuel price slightly over 2.00 a gallon here for the ulsf so feeling good at the pump:tongue:
-
Red Dye Fuel
i cant believe they can stick the tanks without the owner present and on private property, that would get someone accidentally shot down here!
-
Gauges
wow you described my dream truck can i make a offer?

Gauges
i love the display on the glass on the c5 vettes i know what i must do know, i shall have it but for now i have the attitude display mounted on top of the steering column and like this well it covers the (put fuel in your truck before it dies on you) light very well. and i apologize for calling your beast girly im just admiring how clean and pretty and well kept your beast really is:lmao:

Red Dye Fuel
ah the red stuff its like crack rock for diesel engines, i love the stuff and nobodys sticking tanks around here-just throw some vp top lube in the tank i think the bubble gum smell is quite strong and use it as a conversational piece with the highway patrol:lol:
