I have a Smarty to play with for a couple days
Do you know if that upper limit is the same for each setting or what that limit is? Would there be a difference in the one that states boost fooling vs the rest?

I have a Smarty to play with for a couple days
I borrowed a friends Smarty S03 to see if I like it. I don't think I will be comfortable enough to run the Edge and Smarty at the same time. If I do get the nerve.. I know enough not to run the Smarty on advanced timing settings. Any advice on what settings to try? There only appears to be one setting with boost fooling. Does this mean that any of the other settings.. that I should not be able to obtain boost levels over 20? I ask because I already tried the fuel saver mode for like 5 minutes and got my boost gauge to 30 and didn't think that could happen.

OBDLink LX and OBDLink Android App
My CEL will go out before engine start. It has never come on otherwise since I've had it.

I think I made a mistake.. axle dump
A friend is going to a stack.. so I will probably get the tail piece and hopefully get it back close to what it was ;-)

Is this a TV cable thing?
I'm still trying to understand if there is even an issue. The Smarty shows the codes and the OBDLink doesn't. I did plan on picking up a Timbo to have it with me on long trips.. just in case.

I downloaded the auto doc.. no codes found on it either.. no pending.. no permanent. I didn't see anywhere to check for active or temp Nick. Not sure why the smarty will show the codes. I clear them but when I start the truck they're back. When I set the ECM back to stock.. I was hoping the tire size change would stay. Hope this is not considered hijacking a thread? If so.. Sorry Mike..

OBDLink LX and OBDLink Android App
I borrowed a friend's smarty to try to correct speedo.. didn't work when I removed the smarty from my truck. The Smarty did pick up 2 DTCs P0122 TPS low voltage and P1693 a companion code My OBDLink says there are no trouble codes but does show the P1693 in the freeze frame section. I cleared them 2-3 times with the smarty and they came back and still would not show on the OBDLink Any guesses as to why its not showing the trouble codes?

Well.. I borrowed a friend's smarty because I wanted to see if I could program/set the tire size to correct my speedo.... but it doesn't appear to stay with the truck when you remove the smarty program. No biggie. However, the smarty did pick up 2 DTCs that for some reason my OBDLink didn't (???)... P0122 TPS low voltage and P1693 I think it said - JTEC module companion code Appears I have some research to do... EDIT: While the OBDLink said no trouble codes found but it did have the companion code in the freeze frame..

Is this a TV cable thing?
I had to read it twice too but I think by off.. he meant out of adjustment. A couple of months ago I found my linkage just dangling.. not sure how long it was like this and hope it didn't F anything up. Seems like nothing serious resulted...

Would You Invest in My Truck or A Newer Truck
I'm guessing that these are scuff plate screws? I picked these up at Lowes and replaced all mine.. work perfectly.

TPS - throttle position sensor? Determined by your right foot? Moderate throttle.. not too soft and not flooring it to me... if I remember correctly.. shifting takes place in the 2200 range. Sound about right?

So.. what rpms is the shifting supposed to take place?

Is this a TV cable thing?
Makes sense... still... somewhat annoying being snapped each shift :-)

I do think something is a little off... but not sure what. It has very hard shifts but doesn't seem to be late. They have always been hard and I attributed them to the "built" tranny. Since I did injectors the shifts feel a little harder... almost annoyingly hard.. jolting.

For some reason I don't have the 3 dots on any page... Not sure why. I wasn't sure if I needed to be connected to the dongle so I went out and connected to it.. still no dots

Weight in the bed
So.. I have another issue.. lol I always thought it was best to keep weight over the axles.

Weight in the bed
I just set up my pressure washing rig in the back of my truck. I would estimate I have maybe 250 pounds that sits after the axle. Do you think this could affect the front end? Like making it more sensitive to every little bump? PS.. I'm not worried Nick

I once had a front wheel fall off my toyota celica. Not fun watching your wheel pass you by and sparks flying Needless to say... I check lugs nuts 3, 4 maybe 5 times.

OBDLink LX and OBDLink Android App
I'm glad you posted this because I have had my OBDLink for a few months and only use it to check codes from time to time.. haven't found any yet.. yay! Now I know what to put for volumertic efficiency. What is the brake specific fuel number?

Is this a TV cable thing?
Okay... good to know. The reason I thought it maybe it was the TV cable is because a couple days ago when I was checking out the exhaust I noticed a black tubular plastic piece sitting on the cable kind of loose. So I pushed it backwards and it seemed like it snapped into place.. but wasn't sure if it was really supposed to. Today was my first real trip out of town since (with speeds above 50) and is why I noticed a difference. So... are you saying I should ignore any future problems or worry about them? There wouldn't be as much to talk about

I understand where you are coming from to a point.. but.. when you have fair amount of $$$ invested and depend on it to make a living.. you kind of want it to work the way you think it should. It just didn't feel like it was behaving the way it did.. or should. I do enjoy it and I also enjoy trying to get the kinks out and make at good as it possibly can be. :-) BTW.. I too had a clunk in my front end and it drove me insane. Turned out to be a control moving back and forth.
