  1. I just made the transaction on DAP website. I spoke with one of their customer service people last Thursday, its $50 for the rental. You have to pay for the entire programmer though, $645. Once DAP receives it back, you get $595 put back on your card or however you paid. I'm excited, IDK its taken me so long to do this. I guess listening to my wife complain about how long it takes my (ours according to her:) truck to warm up has motivated me.
  2. Thanks very much for your reply. I like the idea of staying with a single. In my experience, the more moving parts, the more problems (or at least chance for them). Would I still have to get 104# springs if I went with a single? The studs are a no brainer in my mind, have to have them for anything over 30# if you ask me.
  3. Oh crap..THANKS!! jeez theres a guy that goes by jkeller3 that lives in Spokane. Dang.
  4. Recently I became the owner of a 26' gooseneck flatbed trailer. Its awesome having such a piece of equipment. I can haul multiple pallets of pellets home from the store at once, haul the tractor around for side jobs etc. The heaviest load I have towed is 4 tons of pellets for our pellet stoves in our home. 8K pounds plus my truck that weighs 7100 plus the trailer I'm guessing is around 2,500 or so. Just rounding up to 18K pounds...my truck did "OK" up the grades. Steepest grade to pull going home was 5% for 2 miles. Started out at 65mph at the bottom and was barely doing 35 at the top. If I go with twin turbos it would purely and solely be for the added power for towing, I tow barely enough to notice the need for twins. The main point of this post is to determine whether or not I actually should get twins. Is it worth it? Will I loose my longevity? Pros & Cons? What I don't want to have to do: *Replace the head gasket with some special one *get crazy stiff valve springs *change the tappets *aftermarket intercooler *Go over 600 horse What I'm willing to do: *go up to 150 HP injectors *Install ARP 425s *Install mildly stiff valve springs *spend the $$$ needed to PROPERLY get my truck compound turbos. *Use my HX 35 as the small turbo Thanks for reading and I'll check back in a couple days for replies.
  5. I dont even know what that is, sorry.
  6. Alright sounds good ha. Everything is working good on my end. Has moparman figured out a rental program for the smarty yet? I need to enable high idle on my rig still. I was thinking about renting one from DAP, but wanted to wait until last minute maybe moparman got around to figuring out his own rental program? Thanks.
  7. Just got a renew email invoice for my high idle switch out of the blue. Why? Sorry that I started new thread for simple question.
  8. Man this is BADA**!!
  9. Indeed, and I learned this from you. However, someone on the phone told me that I needed that PTO to operate a snow plow pump.....
  10. Recently found out that I have the PTO DHD transfer case in my truck, someone told me that somehow correlates to a snow plow package from the factory?.... I have zero knowledge of how a snow plow would function on my truck. I have seen tons of plows on Craigslist...but no mention of what make/model truck they go on, which leads me to believe that they are universal. This seems rather wrong to me, lol.... SO, what does one need to do in order to set up their truck to use as a snow plow? Thanks in advance for replies and insight.
  11. Nice! I will do that, thanks. I just installed my high idle switch! Pretty cool and really happy its made in AMERICA with DELPHI connectors! I still need to have my rig enabled for high idle though, but until then I'm more then happy with increased MPGs! I'll look at making my own mount plate with some sort of lexan material from one of my old rc car bodies.
  12. Hey guys I just got my high idle kit yesterday, going to install today. I would really love the cubby hole mounting plate! Is there anyway I can get one somehow? Ill pay via paypal. Hit me up via personal message and let me know. For now Im just going to let the switch rest in the cubby hole until I get the mopar man cubby mount plate. My folks are here for thanksgiving already haha, well my dad was asking what the high idle switch does and I explained, with help from here, and he is amazed at the fact that there is so much tuning and modifications can be done to these trucks. I said yes I had no idea either until after I bought mine and joined cumminsforum and discovered this site. Thank you
